Is there a serial killer at large in Blackwater Bay? Residents are fearful and the police are desperate. When they approach Gina Champion for psychic help on the case, she suspects that a black sorceress might be behind the killings.

Meanwhile, Gina has to cope with real life. It is the end of the year. Her boyfriend Dali is away for Christmas, and her older sister has come to stay, causing more trouble than she is worth. But if Gina doesn't solve the case quickly, she could be next on the killer's list…

This book is one of those books I just found while I was bored, tried reading it, and TOTALLY LOVED IT!
This is like the 5th book I think in the series so i read the other ones and they are all also awesome.
The only ones I haven't read is the demon one and Nightshade.
I reckon everybody should read this it's awesome!

It's about this year 11 girl who is physic, her type is she can read vibrations off objects, see peoples past and things from when you were wearing the object.
I don't want to spoil it so really she investigates an old house that used to be owned by a corrupt witch, whose powers were drained when her fellow witches decided she would turn evil. She died and her spirit is haunting the witches and killing them. So Gina goes and tries to get rid of her ghost, revealing a few secrets of the past with it.

I really liked this series because it has witches, ghosts, Egyptian curses, things like that and it is all believable. You can just imagine being there with her.

I have been looking for this book on and off for the past 8 years.... I read it in high school and loved it but could never remember more than the basic plot, which when googled, comes up with MANY suggestions. I eventually found it by looking through Goodreads list of books of Girls with Red Hair. The first book in the series was number 113 on the list, which I've never read, but am so very glad I checked regardless of not recognising the title.
Giving it 5 stars now based on my past reading but will update if needed after a reread.

A simple but entertaining read! When I first started this I hadn't read another Gina Champion novel, so this is my first introduction to this world, but there was no trouble following along. It's a mix of Meg Cabot's 1800-where-r-u series and the old school Nancy drew type mysteries, all except these mysteries are DEFINITELY of the supernatural kind. The plot was a bit of fun, though the main character at times annoyed me (she thought she was much funnier then she actually was), but then again the part of the personality that annoyed me was so spot on 16 year old teenager that it soon faded into the background as good characterisation. There were some amazingly truthful relationship moments between Gina and her sister that echoed moments I've had with my own sisters that made me think about things in a new (and guilty!) light. If you're a fan if the psychic and mysteries, then this book is for you.

Another awesome Gina Champion mystery.............though I am beggining to suspect that Kim Wilkins dropped off the face of the earth, or got kidnapped by the Mafia at the very least.
Gina touches objects and they talk to her. She can read the history, present, and future attached to those objects and she uses these powers to fight evil and make a swift buck. Throw in a hot emo boyfriend and you have yourself an addictive series.

I've read this book a million times, and even though I'm interested in Witchery affiliated novels, as well as a Mystery theme - this is by far the best book fitting the categories.

Pure Genius.
