This is my first Taylor Lee book, but it will not be the last!

Filled with fast-action suspense and a heroine who knows how to kick some serious butt, made this a real page-turner.

I like the idea of an all woman elite warrior group. LOTN, or Ladies of the Night remind me of the Amazon warriors. Women trained to kill. Confident, strong, fearless. Sapphire is like that, proud of her ability to handle herself in the most dangerous situations.

Her attraction to the commander put in charge of a case to take down a human trafficking ring is inconvenient, but hard to ignore.

The romance is hot and believable. I loved Jase, who wants to protect the woman he cares about whether she needs help or not!

I give Sapphire 4 lovely kisses

Loved Sapphire so much, I couldn't put it down. She's sassy, strong, independent, and a killer to boot; but putty in the hands of the right man.
This new series has it all; sex, suspense, romance, hot alpha men and strong women. Taylor Lee has done it again!

Wow talk about an awesome romantic suspense with both male and females that are alphas. Sapphire is one of a small group of highly trained women. Sapphires current assignment involves human trafficking. She’s partnered with Jase who is use to being in control and not taking orders from a woman. Boy is he about to face one beautiful and intelligent trained partner. Ms. Lee did an outstanding job keeping the reader involved from the first to the last page. Definitely a book you don’t want to put down. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I always look forward to reading future books by Ms. Lee especially in this series.

Super Agents and sex scandal

This is a complicated story, agents trying to put an end to ring of men trafficking young girls.
This book is hard hitting and you my get a little lost here and there but it is well worth the read.

Good read

Enjoyable read although the main character could be a bit annoying. That said reads well and enjoyable enough romance to pass a few hours.

I love Taylor Lee's books and this was no different. It was a great, fun read like I have come to expect from Taylor Lee. I love her writing and her kick ass heroines. Sapphire is no different. She is tired of arrogant men that think she can't handle herself because she is a woman. She is becoming part of the LOTN (Ladies of the Night) group which is full of women agents that kick butt and take names. She is put on a mission that is no joke to take down a very evil man. She is to be the bait. The commander is a very alpha, dominant man and Sapphire and Jase are drawn to each other from the first moment beyond the mission. Sapphire is determined to try and ignore it and Jase is determined to not let her.
The characters are as well written as always and so I was drawn in from the very beginning. I didn't want to put the book down once I started it. If you have read Taylor Lee before you know what you are getting into and if you haven't, you won't regret it. It is a great story told about the good guys getting the bad guys and the heroine have a very prominent role in the take down. The only thing that struck me as different than what you would expect was that the story was not as explicit as most of Taylor's other novels. Don't get me wrong...the story is hot and there is some hot tension between the agents for sure but you don't get to really read about them having sex like in her other novels. But it didn't feel off, it flowed with the story and seemed to fit the situation very well. I don't know if this will be the same with the rest of the books in the series or if it was just the situation in this one but I greatly enjoyed the story and can't wait for the rest of them to come out.

Sapphire is the first in a new series by Taylor Lee. I am a fan of this author and have found her books to be full of action and suspense along with the steamy sex. In this new series Ladies of the Night (LOTN) we have a group of ladies that are ex-military working in a secretive security organization handling cases that are dangerous as they are bringing the criminals to justice that have escaped until now.
Gabriella, code name Sapphire, is hired to seduce and capture the leader of an international human trafficking ring. Col. Jase Malone has been working undercover on this case for over 6 months and they need a particular person as bait, and Sapphire is just that person. The only problem is that Sapphire has trouble following directions and Jase is falling in love with her and wants to protect her and doesn’t want her on the case, but knows that is not an option.
I was excited when given the opportunity to read this book and was slightly disappointed. I felt the story was more rushed than her other books and the time-frame over the course of the book was too short for me for what Gabriella and Jase were fighting. I also felt the sex was not up to Ms. Lee’s previous books. I can say that it is a good start to a series, just needed more time for the characters to grow.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC ,but that does not colour my review in any way.
★★★★★
It's impossible to imagine a more beautiful, kick ass heroine. Sapphire is the embodiment of a Warrior Woman. (That's why she fits so well on my blog). She was in the armed forces, and now works for a private security team of female agents known as Ladies Of The Night. All the operatives are given jewel code names. The boss is a scary Lady called Diamond. When a particular type of operative is needed to take down a vicious sex slaver Sapphire is the only choice.
Jase is also an ex-serviceman working for a private security company. His boss has a special relationship with Diamond, and knows she can provide the type of special operatives he needs.
The main problem is Sapphire hates taking orders. Jase's problem is typical of a Warrior he will protect a woman, especially his woman even when she doesn't need it or want it.
I loved these characters. There is so much passion in all of them. Yet they are so believable. I can truly picture the men and women who really have to do these frightening jobs. We all know in this world there are people like this. My thanks to those who serve to protect the weaker amongst us.

I have several books from this author and this one did not disappoint me. She writes about strong very kick butt female characters that truly know what they are doing. Sapphire is no different and she is assigned a very dangerous mission to take down a sadistic psychopath that has a penchant for young girls. The commander of the mission is a tough as nails agent that is a player and has a long history of discarded women. Right from the get go Jase and Sapphire are overwhelmed with a chemistry between them that just can't be ignored.

What did I like? First, I love being a member of the team for Taylor Lee and being able to read her work before everyone else. She is an incredible writer, featuring strong exciting stories that will reach out and draw you in. I truly enjoy reading her stories with the excitement of women that all of us wish we were like, beautiful, strong, talented and real. Great ending and so fitting!

What are you going to like? A action packed story with lots of details and descriptions keeping you glued to the pages and seeing everything in your minds eye. Enjoying the definite sexual tension between the main characters all done tastefully. This is only book one there are three more to come all featuring hot action and exciting adventures.

I enjoyed this book although, Sapphire didn't really thrill me until almost the very end.

Sapphire is an elite operative being considered to work an Op with Jase, a man who is at the top of his game. Jase has two problems. One being that he is extremely attracted to Sapphire, and the other being Sapphire's inability to follow direct orders from her superiors. This causes Some concern about including her in the operation.

Jade and Sapphire have a chemistry that is combustible. The undercover operation involves human trafficking and an extremely dangerous man. The story builds tension, and causes you to hold your breath in a few spots.

I have two complaints. I don't expect my books to be 100% realistic. In fact, the addition of the improbable often enhances the story. Sapphire's continued inability to follow orders made me crazy. The second complaint was I didn't want this book to end. I wouldn't have minded a little more storyline about Jase and Sapphire after the operation was over.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Advance copy from author for an honest review

3.5 Stars rounded up to 4

I'm not a fan of reviews with lots of spoiler tags because I feel the need to open them and spoil the reading experience, that being said, I want to write more than a few to explain how I feel about the book but can't because I would give away the whole plot.

I love my ex Seals, Marines, Rangers and Agents from the alphabet agencies who always catch the bad guys whilst having hot steamy sex along the way, so I was intrigued to see how a team of covert women would measure up.

And although I loved the story, and plot, as well as the authors writing style, I felt it was more a book with the main character being Jason Malone, rather than Gabriella 'Sapphire' Shaw.

As a book club read, Sapphire is sure to produce a huge discussion.

**TINY SPOILER**
If you have read any of Taylor Lee's other series, especially The Blonde Barracuda Series, you will probably enjoy this book, although I found them to be VERY similar (almost too much the same). The only thing that bothered me while I was reading the book was waiting for the big show-down between good and evil that you knew was coming. You just knew that Sapphire would be put in a very dangerous situation with the creep. While I knew it would have a happy ending, I wasn't sure what "bad things" would happen to Sapphire first.
**TINY SPOILER**: While Sapphire does get put in a dangerous situation, nothing "bad" happens to her. It gets its HEA. I am looking forward to the rest of the series, and am pleasantly surprised that I don't have to wait long. Book 2 comes out June 24th!
This book involved the topic of human trafficking, which I find uncomfortable. I hope the other books in the series are not about that.

Like many others,I don't like writing reviews that give the book away. But this is definitely one super Hot and thrilling read that has me wanting to just blab away all the details. Taylor Lee has without a doubt hit this one out of the park. Sapphire is an agent extraordinar. She is smart, sexy as all get out, and will do what it takes to get the job done. Jase is a strong agent, a brilliant commander and sex on a stick. Put them together and you have one heck of a read. This was a fast paced action packed book that could also cause a five alarm fire. My only complaint is that it ended. I cannot wait for the rest of the series.

Wow! Taylor Lee has done it again! Romantic suspense with two feisty and fiery characters! If the caliber of writing in this first book of the Ladies of the Night series is any indication of what to expect, then this series promises to deliver adrenaline pumping action, passion and suspense like no other!! Sapphire and Jase's story was explosive from the first page to the last! I highly recommend this book and series and anything else written by this talented author. I received an ARC eBook in exchange for an honest review.

Good read

Enjoyed this story, love the strong ladies and Jase was HOT!!! My one complaint was we have all this sexually tension and all this fore play leading up to what I thought was going to be a great sex scene, but it never arrived, and I have no idea if Jase was as good as advertised. In fact it's never really referred to afterwards, I don't need the big sex scene, but call it the voyeur in me I like to know that, she was something different for him when it came down to the ACT

I received this book for an honest review.

Ms Lee has again written a good book. The story flows smoothly and quickly, leaving you turning pages just to see what happens next. The characters are hot and sexy. Sapphire is the main character of this book in the Ladies of the Night series. The only problem that I had was at times it was hard to say who the main character, Sapphire or Jase?

Sapphire is a great read and looking forward to the next book in this series.

Sapphire is a must read. I could not put this book down. I read this in one sitting. I loved how Sapphire is an independent, strong, brave woman who no man can control. Jase is such a strong confident man that he is able to accept all of Sapphire which makes this story so fun to read and captivating. I can't wait for the next book in the Ladies of the Night series

Even though the book is named Sapphire, I don't know if I really go to know her like I know Jase Malone. There was more insight into Jase's character whereas with Gabriela "Sapphire" I kinda had to guess sometimes at what she was feeling. Overall enjoyed the book and will definitely read the next one in the series.
