Four Moons #4.6
Cherry Moon : A Four Moons Novella
Ready for some freshly baked chaos?
Akira and Gabriel are back in this brand new novella. But if you haven’t read The Four Moons series, or the sequel short story Christmas Moon, then I strongly recommend you do not read Cherry Moon until you have because here be plenty of spoilers.
There’s a wedding on my horizon.
I still can’t believe it. Me, Akira Murakami, is getting married to the love of his life.
Pinch me. Hard.
Oh, and I’m baking my own wedding cake. I mean, who else is going to do it?
Unfortunately, impending marital bliss comes with a cruel sting in the tail. Before I can say “I do”, drama decides to rear its ugly head.
I guess some old habits never die, eh?
I’ve become a target for a new breed of nasty, ripped out of my love bubble to hide from the rising darkness wanting to end my life.
It's supposed Cherry Moon week - the holiest week of the year.
Ugh.
But I won’t stay hidden for long. And I won’t let the shadows win.
They’re not taking this life from me.
I’ll make sure of it.
Mark my words, I’m marrying my hunky fiancé no matter what.
Even if it kills me.
An MM Paranormal Romance Novella.

I want to confess... After reading almost all series of this author, I can say that Aki and G are my favourite MCs. That's the hard truth. Why them? Not sure, maybe because they're so 'vivacious' (even after all their afterlife adventures in previous books). They are real. Their strengt and love for each other are as real as their vulnerabilities and fears. When I saw that a novella was on the way, I felt excited and giddy as if I was about to see dear old friends. And the reunion didn't disappoint. My guys were the same: brave and tender, loving and outraged, loyal and relentless. All their strength and skills were put to test again... and when? Right before the wedding. Aghh... Aki was furious... and they had to fight again: for their future, for their family, for the world. With Aki and G, the stakes are never low. Richard Amos creates the most amazing worlds, and this one is my favourite. In the novella, we're showered with cherry blossoms as the events are taking place during the Cherry Moon when the world is healed by magic in the form of cherry blossoms falling from the sky. Just imagine the beauty. But as it always happens in life... and in Richard's books, all this beauty is balanced with the evil getting stronger, too. So here we go. On a rollercoaster of magic fights to save the world and the ones you love. And to answer the question: who is baking the wedding cake? Very happy to welcome you back to this wonderful world. You're in for a delicious treat (almost like Aki's famous muffins). Enjoy.

I loved catching up with Akira and Gabriel again, although of course, their HEA and wedding is hard earned. But I would expect nothing less from this author. This novella has the same fabulous worldbuilding, interesting characters, as the original series. And lots of baked goods!
I love how the quirks and interests the author gives his characters. Akira’s love of baking is fun, and I thought Gabriel building a business from his love of old books was perfectly him. These two are great together, and always willing to give up everything for each other, yet not wanting to lose the other.
Akira’s brother, Zach, comes into his own, and I’m looking forward to him getting his own series. These bad guys need someone who is going to take them down forever.
I also loved seeing characters from previous books again, and of course, Bob and Rose. There’s plenty of action and drama to go around, with a very satisfying conclusion.

This is not a point of entry for stories in this universe. Start the Four Moons series with First Moon, you won't regret it!
That said, what a fantastic way to revisit Aki and G! Their wedding is approaching and, naturally, the forces of evil feel the need to put a spanner in the works of the build up during the magical week of the Cherry Moon and the mazoku attack...
So much entertainment is packed into a quick novella length read here. There's the unshakable love between Akira and Gabriel, of course, as well as the bonds of family and the action when the fight against the makuri becomes necessary again.
Happily, all's well that ends well for our heroes - a real HEA - but we also get a peak at what's coming next in this universe. So exciting...sign me up right now!

A great series salute!
After settling down to live a life of peace, on their Welsh countryside estate, Akira discover that the soft pastoral life isn't quite ready for them. This is a final book that features Four Moons series. Gabe and Aki quickly run into old nemeses, (a familiar hag, and Aki's not so sweet mother). who mean them nothing but harm - and possible death. Once again, their world is threatened. The only thing that can save them (and the world) is their bond - along with a great assist from Akira's once-elf brother. Typical Richard Amos - thrills on every page. This author never lets up off the gas pedal. Great story, adventure, favorite characters - and a wonderful transition of this series that will feature Zach.
You owe it to yourselves to indulge in this great novella.

The first ten percent of "Cherry Moon" read like a floofy, sweet romance. Aki's baking, loving life and anticipating his and G's wedding. Phone sex. And then an "orange blob on chicken legs" attacks. The makuri aren't happy being excluded from the wedding.
So, this was a bonus chapter for the "Moons" series. It's got it all, wrapped up in a quick paced novella. Aki and G's soulbonding love. Found family, old enemies. There's grousing about picking up the katanas. And lots of beautiful action.
The author also offers up a glimpse of what's to come.
We get a HEA with the end of the Cherry Moon week. But goodness, Ricard Amos makes them work to get it.
I received an advanced copy of this e novella from the author, and this is my review.

Cherry Moon is A Four Moons Novella. We are back with Akira and Gabriel for more of their story. I would suggest that you read the Four Moons series before reading this book. I loved the characters and world building that went into this series. I loved seeing these guys again and of course there will be trouble coming after them. I loved this quick read because it had wonderful characters, plenty of action, family, and of course love. I can't wait to see what Richard Amos writes next because I know I will be reading it. I would definitely recommend this book.

A nice little bonus novella for us 'Four Moons' readers who wanted a bit more from our Boys! I was very happy with this little bonus installment and enjoyed it for what it was. A quick and entertaining read that had me chuckling and satisfied in the end. Do Not Read if you have not read any of the 'Four Moon's' series as you will have no idea what is going on and will inundate you with spoilers.

Part of a series, make sure to read the others first or you will be lost!
I was so excited to be back and get to see the wedding! Of course everything goes off the rails! The author does love to torture his characters! But in the end there is always some version of happily ever after. Can’t wait to see what new treat is going to be in the next book!

I have loved jumping back in world of Aki and G 🥰 I have missed them.
“Your love for Akira has captured the attention of the Cherry Moon’s magic,” a soft voice drawled from behind the veil. “It is a gift to love and so a gift has been bestowed upon both of you. The sibling and the soulmate.”
