The Post Office is the suspenseful story of six people who all have one thing in common: the post office in the quiet town of Victory, Pennsylvania. One of the six, Kate, finds herself buying stamps at the post office so she could secretly send letters to her
son who is in prison. Since she would never normally use a brick-and-mortar post office, after all, she can do everything she usually needs a post office for right from her desk at work, she looks around at all the customers wondering, why do so many people use a post office? The other five characters all have their own reasons; some good, some just the opposite.

Strong Debut

(Disclosure: the author is a personal friend of mine). This was a strong debut novel; I liked how the characters' lives intertwined at various points in the book and then came together at the end. It was particularly interesting to me because I share the same hometown with the author and we live in the same city now; I had fun picking out the references to both areas.

Such a wonderful creation. Fantastic storytelling of (mostly) endearing characters. One of those books you can't put down. Excellent work from a first time author. I hope/look forward to more from Kim. Brava!!!!

I am a very fast reader and I read alot. I have recently read many books that have been written in this style lately and I have to say, I do not care for it. Especially while reading on a kindle. The introductions in the beginning were boring and hard to get through...the constant change from one character to another was not appealing to me. Once the story came together and the characters became intertwined it was easy to follow/predict what was going to happen.

The author wrote this book in part to share her experiences as the mother of a son with drug addiction. The book links the stories of several individuals with emotional and financial problems by having them all intersect at the local post office. The character development and psychological insights into the various characters were very strong.

Started out kind of boring to me . Tells short stories about the lives of a few different people . It keeps going like this till toward the end where all their lives sort of come together and things work out happily for all of them. A few parts were interesting, but not alot of them.

Very good story esp for a first book. Once the story line was set for all the characters it was easy to follow the story line. I applaud the author for writing this book. Looking forward to the next one.
