Torn from his home and trapped in a foreign world for nearly a century, Aryn has devoted his life to searching for a way back. He finally escapes, only to land in a small village surrounded by a few familiar faces and a crowd of new ones. Cato is fiercely loyal and dangerously tempting, running from a past he refuses to share. He’s a wildcard, and Aryn knows better than to get distracted as they fight to find a way back to the home he lost.
Drawn together by fate and an undeniable bond, Aryn and Cato find themselves at the center of a conflict that spans worlds, straddling the thin line between survival and surrender. As long-told prophecies awaken, new challenges rise, and the thin barrier between realities begins to fracture, Aryn and Cato must form alliances, navigate buried secrets, and fight for a love that could either save their worlds or destroy them both.
With danger closing in from every side and the fate of two realms hanging in the balance, they’ll have to decide what they’re willing to sacrifice—and what they’re willing to fight for.
Author's Aryn is a First Person Dual POV MM Monster Romance series with explicit content intended for readers 18+. It is the first in a series that will have an overarching storyline carrying between books. While this series ends with a guaranteed HEA, individual books end on more of a HFN basis. The feature couple's story will be resolved, though there will be some unanswered questions and mild cliffhangers that lead into the next in the series.
G. Eilsel started writing under this pen name in early 2024, publishing works in two genres she loves: eccentric novellas and MM romance.
Her writing puts a focus on sarcasm, snarky humor, sometimes horrible puns, and steamy scenes that'll make your momma blush. Expect heavy spice, in any sort of variety you're looking for-sweet, emotional, depraved, or downright questionable.
Some of her books are one-handed reads with minimal plot, others are more intricate stories that weave themselves through her brain and demand to be put on paper. Angsty and emotional, light and giggle-inducing, and everything in between can be found between the covers of her books.
She doesn't take herself too seriously, throwing pieces of her humor and quirky personality in her writing. If she can't live up to her title of a One-Handed author, then maybe she can at least make you smile.
4.5⭐️ The fifth book is finally here, and we are getting ANSWERS. We are getting ADVENTUROUS JOURNEY in the freaking MONSTER WORLD and of course, we are getting the at first hesitant but quickly scorching ROMANCE between Aryn and Cato!!
G does such a great job with the world building in this one. I was so excited to first of all, get a lot of the answers that I was really anticipating from the end of book 4. And then after that, this book is really about a journey that the characters go on through the monster world and we learned so much about the monstrous culture and how they live and multiple characters, families and back stories. It really felt like the lead up to the climax of the series. Even though they were on a huge, adventurous journey, there were still so many sweet and spicy moments woven in with the main characters and the romance and spicy scenes were absolutely popping as usual
My favourite part about this book was the chemistry between the two main characters, as well as finally being able to see the monster world. But let me just talk about Cato and Aryn for a minute, because they were pretty cool main characters. Cato is such a hot head but also has this other side to him and he was really fun. Aryn was so serious yet not at the same time, and his absolute devotion, but also very confident and capable presence was just so cool. I feel like their relationship dynamic was something really unique and definitely didn’t follow any kind of basic relationship, dynamic trope that you see a lot in gay romance books. So I did really enjoy those two!
This book has: -fated mates -a monstrous adventure with fighting -tail and power play… and public spice 👀 (these two kinda freaky, okay?) -possessive behaviour, but tastefully so -monster/ human romance -and Aryn has sexy fangs 👅
Just a reminder that this book cannot be read as a standalone and you absolutely need to read the first four books before you jump into this one. But if you’re someone who loves fun monster romance, that includes an overarching plot, really cool and sweet relationship dynamics, diverse characters, and just really great writing quality then you are going to really enjoy the series.
I have been waiting for this book since the last book came out and as usual G. Eilsel never disappoints the long wait.
This made me go through so many emotions that I wasn’t expecting. From the surprise characters that we get that I totally was not expecting, I truly loved every piece of information we got in this book. And can I just say that the world building was simply beautiful. I’ve been waiting to see the monster world and the way that G. describes every freaking detail, it was everything I could want and more!
I have so many favorite moments but the moment that Aryn walked through those doors that he was alive, my heart was trying to jump out of my chest. My heart broke the moment that Cato tried to go after him because Aryn always took care of everyone like he did in that moment. The caretaking that these do for one another had me in my feelings as usual because that’s one of my favorite microtropes.
I was certainly surprised when we meet a few important characters and it shocked me. I don’t want to give any spoilers but it made me smile.
As usual, the found family in this book was beautiful. From the playful banter to the serious moments and just the caring we get from them made me yearn for more. Lilith is such a fun character she had me giggling at her commentary.
And the spice scenes as usual were spicy. The alley scene - hello there!
The way that these two gravitated towards one another had me in my feels. From the whole “don’t leave me” to “I won’t leave me” had me in tears. I didn’t think I could be an emotional mess like I was with these two.
I cannot wait for the next book because I have a feeling it’s going to make me feel even more than I did in this book.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
How do you find words to describe a book that left you speechless?? Like, seriously, book slump to the extreme here. G is a freaking MASTER when it comes to world building, character formation, humor, emotion, and pulling you so deep into a story that you never want to leave. She did not disappoint with Aryn.
There are surprises in this book. There are shocks. There are so many OMG moments I cannot possibly count them. There are more than a few new characters for you to fall head over heels in love with. Aryn will make you swoon so hard, and he will also set your lower regions ablaze. Cato will crack you up and break you to pieces in equal measure. They are so unexpectedly perfect for each other and you will hurt right along with them as they fight through their pasts to find their way to the absolute decimation of their slow burn romance. Seriously. ASHES, y'all.
If you've read the first 4 books, grab Aryn and start reading asap. If you haven't started this series yet, here's your sign. Get on it, you won't be disappointed.
This was so good! The reveals, the banter, the world building I loved it all. I knew going in I was going to enjoy Cato and Aryn together and I did. Their communication was one of my favorite things. I really appreciated that they were able to discuss what was needed without letting time linger and negative emotions fester. It didn’t make things smoother but it did make sure they both were in the know and I loved to see it. The relationship development for these two was great. They became friends even if unintentional and it made for a fun time as we progressed through the book. The side characters were entertaining, the storyline was intriguing, the writing was great and I’m excited for the next book!
This freaking series! First if you haven't read it go now! The continued world building is like nothing I've read before. I knew I'd love Aryn and Cato, self sacrificing broken boys. The story truly just flows so easily, the action so good, the spice perfection! While some questions were answered, they also led to more questions. I'm so excited so see what happens next and hoping to get more Sovran. This group is one of the absolute best and the epitome of found family, they are funny, protective and care for each so much.
I absolutely devoured this book. I was so excited to see some of the overarching plot points come together and a couple surprises that left me slightly gobsmacked! Seriously this book jumped to number one in the series for me which is a huge deal because I have loved some others a lot. This one soared to the top because of the larger plot coming together. It also has me feral to find out what happens next because I know we are getting closer to the end and I just know the next book is going to be fantastic and I am already feral for it!
