As always, Paige Edwards delivered!

This one works as a standalone, but I loved reading the previous books that built up the hype for Roddy's story! From the first books, we know Roddy is the wayward heir who fled to the Cayman islands to avoid responsibility and his parents' expectations. He was consistently on his three sisters' minds and hearts in the previous boos, and so I just couldn't wait to meet him.

Roddy had so much more depth than I was expecting! He definitely thrwarted tradition and had a more laid-back, teasing personality then is normal for a royal, but it was refreshing. Underneath his devil-may-care persona is a deep loyalty for his people and am abiding love for his land.

Everly, our resident straightlaced and number loving bank auditor, was the perfect foil for him! Despite her fears and struggles with OCD, she stepped in bravely to help Roddy and MI6 with a plot to take down an insane crime boss. She was not who I expected Roddy to pair with, but that's what made their chemistry that much more appealing. They go together so well, even (or maybe especially!) since society might not have expected Roddy to choose someone like her.

The suspense was also top notch! As always, the bad guy was creepy and evil. I loved having both the Cayman islands and Roddy's home as settings for the plot. Overall, a great read!

Once you start you won’t want to stop reading
What a wonderful book. This book has the perfect mix of intrigue, danger, mystery, romance, and problems both personal and family. It starts off at a run and doesn’t slow down. Everly is in the Grand Caymans to audit a bank. But also, to do a little undercover snooping for MI6 at that bank. She loves auditing. MI6 not so much. Her OCD prefers patterns, systems, and regularity, so she is particularly good at spotting oddities. A budding romance between her and Roddy, a dive instructor, is cut short by her snooping being discovered. Resulting in her immediate deportation. Meanwhile, Roddy has become involved with someone who wants him permanently out of the picture and he returns to Scotland where he is better known as the Earl of Clovenfords. What neither knew was that they would soon be drawn together, by her handler Sir Roger, who is his Uncle Roger, in an effort to protect Roddy’s family and home. Such a wonderful read. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
