Tied in Two was one of those books that completely blindsided me with how much I ended up loving it. I don't even know how to explain what this book did to me, but Shayla Fanning managed to make me laugh, hurt, cry MULTIPLE times, and become completely invested in these characters. So yeah... apparently I'm emotionally attached now. 😂
The story was SO good. There was so much happening beneath the surface, and I loved how thoughtfully everything was handled. The heavier moments had actual weight and purpose instead of feeling like they were thrown in just for shock value, and I really appreciated that. The emotional parts and the romance balanced each other well without one taking over the other.
Riley and Luka were both amazing in completely different ways. They had distinct personalities and individual journeys, and I loved getting to know them as people instead of only seeing them through their relationship with Savannah. They felt layered and real, and I cared about what happened to both of them.
And the romance? I was HERE for it. Savannah's relationship with Riley and Luka was exactly the kind of why-choose romance I love. The chemistry, emotional connection, tension, and individual dynamics between Savannah and each of them made this so much fun to read. And because Riley and Luka are brothers, I loved seeing how their relationship with Savannah worked alongside their relationship with each other. There was so much more to their dynamic than just the romance, and it made the whole relationship feel more meaningful.
But the biggest thing for me was the emotional impact. This book absolutely wrecked me, and I mean that as the highest compliment. I don't cry over books unless I care about the characters, and Tied in Two had me feeling EVERYTHING. Shayla Fanning handled the emotional moments with so much care while still making them hit hard.
I finished this book and couldn't stop thinking about it. I cared about these people. I cared about what happened to them. I felt everything right along with them.

Why choose this book… because it’s one of the tropes lol.
This book was so good, could put it down.
The writing is done so well, it’s very cinematic. The trauma bonding between characters is realistic. Imagine missing your chance the first time and waiting 10 years for a character what if.

Tied in Two by Shayla Fanning completely stole my heart from the very first chapter. I was hooked by the emotional depth, compelling characters, and the chemistry that practically leapt off the page. Every page kept me invested, and I found myself unable to put it down.
Shayla Fanning creates characters that feel authentic and easy to connect with, making every emotional moment hit that much harder. This read made me feel nostalgic with the teenage love and brought back memories for myself. The balance of romance, tension, and heartfelt moments was beautifully done, and the ending left me with the biggest book hangover. I wish it was longer! I would’ve loved to have seen more of the romance build in a longer version, I absolutely adored all three of the main characters.

Wow… I am absolutely stunned after finishing this book. I already love a good why choose romance, but making the love interests twin brothers? That was completely wild, and somehow it worked. The emotional tension was off the charts, and I genuinely couldn’t put it down.
The plot twists just kept coming, and every time I thought I knew where the story was headed, it completely pulled the rug out from under me. The amount of trauma and shocking revelations had me hooked from beginning to end. I will say I selfishly wish we’d gotten at least one scene with all three of them together, but that didn’t take away from how addictive the story was.
And that ending… I was not prepared. It was heartbreaking, unexpected, and left me sitting there staring at my Kindle long after I finished. If you’re looking for a why choose that’s packed with twists, angst, and emotional punches, this one is definitely worth the ride.

After the loss of her parents, she’s forced to face the past and the secrets they’ve all been carrying. My biggest struggle was how long it took to reveal what happened in the past, I felt like that mystery was drawn out a little too much. But the characters really won me over, especially the complexity between the brothers. One carrying so much pain and quietly sacrificing himself to protect the people he loves, while the other brings a softer, comforting presence. loved that the romance wasn’t about jealousy or competition. It felt rooted in trust, love, and understanding. And those final chapters? I did not see that coming. They hit me so hard emotionally that they changed my rating from a 3 to a 4 ⭐️. It’s rare for a book to make me cry. If you’re into emotional why-choose, romance, second chances, family trauma, and characters you’ll get attached to, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try. I went into Tied in Two expecting a spicy why-choose romance with some dark secrets mixed in. I was NOT expecting it to hurt my feelings like this.
Savannah returning to Oakhaven and coming face-to-face with Luka and Riley after fifteen years immediately had me invested. I really liked getting all three POVs, but the past and present timelines were probably my favorite part. You know something happened when they were younger, but you only get pieces of it at a time, and I kept reading because I needed to know exactly what Savannah had buried.
Luka and Riley are also completely different, which made the dynamic between the three of them work for me. One brings more warmth and softness while the other has this darker, more intense energy.
There were definitely places where I wanted the story to slow down a little. A lot happens in a relatively short book, and I think giving the relationships and suspense more room to build would have made some of the emotional moments hit even harder.
But THAT ENDING?!
I genuinely wasn’t prepared for where this story went. It ended up being much heavier and more emotional than I expected going in, and apparently Shayla Fanning just decided we weren’t allowed to leave this book emotionally intact.

Okay... I was NOT prepared for how emotional this book was going to make me. 🥺
I went in expecting a dark why-choose romance with a little thriller mixed in, but this ended up being such a beautiful story about trauma, resilience, sacrifice, and three people who have loved each other through some of the darkest moments of their lives.
I really loved how the story moved between the past and present, slowly revealing what actually happened all those years ago. There were so many pieces of their childhood that didn't fully make sense until everything started coming together, and some of those revelations genuinely hurt.
But underneath all of the darkness, this was really a story about healing together. The relationship between the twins and the FMC was beautiful, and I loved seeing how differently each of them carried their trauma while still being so deeply connected to one another.
And that ending... 💔 It wasn't the happily ever after I thought I was getting, but somehow it was still beautiful. The love, the sacrifice, and choosing to keep living and build something beautiful after everything they'd survived absolutely got me.

So many thoughts on this book. Tied in Two is what I would categorize as a romantic tragedy with an ending that brings you closure. There are dark secrets that are slowly revealed as the story unfolds, and moments of happiness that make you realize that the brightest stars shine in the darkest depths of the night.
Overall, Shayla does a good job of giving each character a purpose and tying it back to the main conflict. She tells the story in such a way that it makes it difficult to put down. Once you start reading, you will find yourself at the end of the book before you even realize it. One thing I really liked is how the story switches between different POVs as well as different timelines, bringing up past incidents and how they directly impact the present. Overall, this is a well-written story and I would recommend it to those who love a suspenseful dark romance.

Ugh.. a why choose romance with twins? Sign me tf up.
I fell headfirst into this story, and it isn’t too long so it was a quick and fun read. I really enjoyed the writing style and pacing of this story, I felt like something was always happening so it kept my attention.
The characters were easy to fall for and our main fmc was as well. I liked her dynamic with the twins, from a more light hearted easy romance with Luca to a more nonchalant but boldness from Riley.
The storytelling aspect also had a combination of coming from the present day and then going to the past to offer us more information and an insight to her relationship with them as a child vs now that they’re adults.
Overall this story had ups and downs in regards to my emotional well being but it was enjoyable from start to finish.

One thing I really love about this book is how Savannah, Luka and Riley all have POV chapters. It makes the story feel complete. I loved the dual timeline, it made me on edge to find out what “the incident” was but also the depth of their relationship.

I absolutely devoured this book! The why choose romance pulled me in, but the suspense kept me turning the pages.
While I was able to figure out the big picture of the mystery fairly early on, it was the details that kept me guessing until the very end. I never could have predicted exactly how everything unfolded, and those final reveals still managed to surprise me.
This story definitely broke my heart, but it was beautiful. If you love emotional romance with plenty of suspense, this one is absolutely worth the read!

This book had me hooked from the start and had me crying at the end. It ended the way I expected. Won't go into reasons because *spoilers!! Loved the flashbacks and how the mystery of what actually happened that night all those years ago, wasn't revealed until the end. Riley, Luka and Savannah really had a piece of my heart and their relationship was well written. As a why choose it was a little different, as one brother seemed to be more of a first choice. However the love Savannah had for them both would never have let her choose between them

This book makes my skin crawl every time I think about it. It was a fu(king masterpiece of why choose, unbelievable secrets and amazing second chance. This book hooked me right in, I was emotional all the way through. I felt their pain, I felt their love and I cried like a feral cat. It has been a while since I’ve been shattered like this. But this book did it. Shattered me into pieces and slowly fixed my soul. Highly recommending you to read this book. It’s was so worth it. Thank you Shayla ❤️

Tied in Two was such an addictive read! I really enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and the tension throughout the story. There were moments that had me completely hooked, and I loved the emotional side of the relationship.
I did have a few things that didn’t completely work for me, but overall, I had a great time reading this. It kept me invested in the characters and wanting to know what would happen next.
Definitely a solid 4-star read for me, and I’d happily read more from Shayla Fanning! 💕

Heartbroken and gutted!
This was beautifully written. I am writing this with tears in my eyes. I loved this trio of characters and how they all came together, how their love survived the test of time. The heartbreak of the last few chapters really hit me hard and I wasn’t expecting that. By the end, the way the author wrote their grief was just so powerful and realistic that it lessened the blow slightly. Very well done.

This was such a great story. It was definitely a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I absolutely loved Savannah and the guys. Her having left the small town after a traumatizing moment, only to return years later. And there both of them still were. Luka and Riley. All those feelings from those years ago never faded. There they stood stronger than ever. Such a wonderful read with an ending I didn’t see coming.

One of my favorite reads this year so far! I know this story will leave rent free in my head. This was a first time read for me from this author and it did not disappoint. The way Shayla managed to weave the storyline and had me hooked instantly and I couldn't put it down. It was packed with so much emotion and heart, and it completely destroyed me in the best way possible. I cannot wait to read more from Shayla Fanning.

Thought I was getting a dark why choose romance, ended up being traumatised
I nearly DNF’d this book at 90% 😩 The way the ending went felt too similar to another book, I wish it needed differently. But that didn’t stop me from sobbing for the last 10% 🥺
The writing was repetitive and felt amateur but I was hooked from the first chapter.
I adored Riley & Luka! I would have loved the book to have been longer and developed the characters and their relationships more. I did feel a little insta love.
Overall it was a good read which I read in less than 24 hours!

OMG, this story made me so emotional and I'm not that reader. But it was so good. Its a quick dark romance that will leave you in pieces. Our 3 characters find each other after 15 years apart, being best friends in childhood and then being separated by trauma. They find their way back to each other and the ending.....

Loved this book! Loved the nod to Romeo and Juliet, and such an emotional roller coaster! Thank you so much for sending me the ARC copy, the twists and turns in this book kept me hooked and the romance was top tier. I loved the romantic tragedy but also a happy ending.

Unfortunately this was a miss for me. The spice was spicy, but I just felt like we didn’t get enough about the dad. I needed more. The plot was lacking for me.

I just loved this book. The story and the characters were relatable and it checked all the boxes I like in books. Would recommend to everyone I know.
