Emily is running from fame. Once a worldwide singing sensation, she has spent the last five years hiding from her past in a tiny mountain town.
Enter North, the bearded man Emily almost runs over on a remote road. Starving and exhausted, he has no memories and nowhere to go. As North moves into Emily’s home, the gentle giant begins to give Emily back her sense of hope and direction.
With North’s past a mystery and Emily’s past a tragedy she’s desperately fighting to keep hidden, the odds are against them. When Emily discovers who North truly is, will she accept his love, or run again?
This will always be one of my favourite books and I am so happy I discovered it on Wattpad. Absolutely wonderful love story, and as always with Kate's works, it is so much deeper than just love story.
I had just finished 30 Lays in 30 Days and was craving more from Kate J. Squires when I saw that she had more works on Wattpad. I started reading True North and couldn't put it down.
Finding love is always hard, and for those in the public eye, more so. This book gave the characters a chance to do so, while not being totally unrealistic about the scenarios.
Parts of the book were a little confusing for me, specifically the Aussie slang, but it wasn't to hard to figure out and was part of the charm.
This 'non-published' book sealed the deal for me. Kate J. Squires is one of me new favourite authors and I hope she continues to write more books.
Been craving a reread of this story for forever, but stupid wattpad is paid now... guess I'll just remember the entire story, since I've probably read this at least 10 times already! Absolutely love this story!
I regret not reading this earlier. Stuck on my wattpad shelf for too long, I didn't realize this one's a good worthy read. This one's a tear-jerker. And the goal of the author to make her readers feel, that was truly met. She was able to get the message, the feelings and emotions right out there for the readers to feel. And that is one great indicator of a good writer. On a side note, just because the cover photo is sexy, doesn't exactly mean that it's trashy and brimming with sexual content and all, just a hint here and there but you should look past it and totally read this without any judgement based from that. I do recommend this to anyone whose minds are ready to read, to see and to feel.
