Anna De Wahl has created yet another MAGNIFICENT Murder Mystery!! Read on to find out why I gave it 5 stars!!

This is book nine out of nine, so we have our main returning characters: Emma Chandler (Brewed Awakening's Coffee Shop owner) with her terrific dog Barnaby, Ollie Bradshaw (Bradshaw's Antiques), Jonas Knutson (Newspaper), Detective Ethan Carter, Police Chief Harry Kane, and Maggie Elton (she helps both Emma & Ollie with running their shops). This eclectic group of characters all work together helping Detective Ethan solve this complicated murder mystery, as well as accidentally proving the outcome of a death from several years ago.

This book is magnificently prepared with great care describing the camaraderie of the main characters, especially with the enigmatic Ollie Bradshaw, who answers (& sometimes asks) in his unique riddles. For example, three of my favorite quotes from this book: "That is a tidy way to say an untidy thing." Emma said something to Ollie, & his response was, "That was an unpleasantly good sentence." Emma's response was, "It came with the coffee." In this book, other characters are also coming up with their own quotes...

Aside from the character's camaraderie are the multiple suspects who show confusing & difficult behaviors while being interviewed, sometimes holding steadfast against answering the same questions repeatedly.

The various place settings and numerous dramatic situations add a clever view of what we are reading.

And, of course, Ollie's humorous dialogue adds the spark of wit needed to lighten the story a bit.

And those are my reasons for giving this MAGNIFICENT BOOK ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!

This is such a huge disappointment! I loved the author's other book "False walls" so much that I had great expectations for this one but it turned out not at all what I thought! There is nothing wrong with the grammar and the English, the writing is so dry and dull and it got boring within the first page! I read it to help me fall asleep faster. The mystery is OK but not well crafted, there are so many holes and all the evidence are circumstantial and 15 years old, I can't believe the police detective can actually build a case and arrest the suspect! Most of all, there is not one character including the dog that I care about, all are one dimensional and none interesting and relatable! The conversations feel forced and unrealistic, the story slow and extremely irritating and not at all well thought of. Overall it is just not my type of book and I managed to finish it with great effort! Hopefully the author's next book will be much improvement and entertaining !

This is part of a series. I think that reading them in order would help with relationships of the characters. This is a close knit community and people talk, or should I say gossip. Walt dies on the dock and secrets start to be exposed. A lantern, a dock tag, and a bracket hold secrets from the past. What happened to Eddie? Was the boat fire an accident? So many questions and motives! Harbor secrets are slowly revealed. Eddie and Walt have a past history that has been misunderstood. Emma, Maggie, Harry, Ethan, Ollie, and Jonas work together to piece together evidence. Nora, the sister of Eddie, wants justice. Harbor Heritage display at Bradshaw Antiques creates a stir. How can harbor junk solve the mystery?

Harbor Glass is a Superb story and series about the town is preparing for the Harbor Heritage Festival. Walt Greaves was discovered dead near working docks and Detective Ethan Carter comes to investigate and is assisted by Emma Chandler Cafe Owner who previously was a Detective and her very clever sleuthing dog Barnaby and Ollie Bradshaw who is an Antique Shop Owner. But what will they uncover and could it possibly linked to the past? Can they discover the truth?
I enjoyed reading this story very much and I highly recommend that you read this book and series.

A Harbor Heritage Festival is being planned. One man is worried that things from a box of old junk he’d sold Ollie would be on show & told him not to display any of it. Then that man is found dead, made to look like he slipped & fell, but, Ethan thinks things are a bit “off”. Several people could be guilty, but, it seems that the whole thing started way back when a man, reportedly drunk, died in a boat fire. A very interesting read as Emma, Ollie, Jonas & Ethan set about finding out just what did happen.

This author spent a lot of time in harbor research for this mystery. Could not put it down from the very beginning. Characters are spot on and the story line places you in the middle of all the activity. Recommend to all mystery lovers. I was not disappointed in spending time reading this mystery.

A man is dead and there are several suspects. Who killed him and who was responsible for the boat fire? This is a really good mystery. It was just too long and drawn out.

This was a great story about Emma and friends and a box and the mystery behind it and finding out what it was about and solving it with suspense and drama. Thank you for this excellent story.

I really enjoy the characters in the Cedar Harbor Cozy Mysteries. They each bring their strengths to solve the crime. Always like to read Anna's books.
