This was definitely more interesting because it felt like the meat of the plot was here, with Mari's secret being outed and seeing everyone's reactions to it — I kind of wish this was developed across more chapters because it felt a little rushed, and there was just so much character development here that I actually really liked.
One thing that kind of bothered me, however, was how the news that a vampire had killed someone which just read like wishful thinking or a book that might be targeted to a middle-grade age group.
I didn't enjoy this volume quite as much as previous ones, but it still had a lot of good and interesting scenes. While I do think Jae Min went overboard with his reaction towards Ma Ri, it is understandable. He feels a strong sense of betrayal and like she was just using him. Plus he began to see how wrong he had been; that she really does have feelings for him. Sihoo really stole the show though, especially with how he defended Ma Ri, and I can totally see how people could ship them together (I do a bit as well, he's just so cute sometimes).
This volume is where the beginning of the best parts of the story. Mari's real identity was slowly finally being revealed. And even though there are several unsurprising scenes, it doesn't lessen the value of the story, yet it made it more exciting to read.
