Things have really gone bonkers and I can’t quite tell if I like it or not. We have lost the tension of available skills, reputation points, body fatigue, and mana consumption. The bodies are impervious to damage; the bad guys aren’t threats anymore. Why these chapters help expose the discover of the real soul of Lloyd, almost all the small moments between characters have been cut out to make way for jokes and action. I understand the entertainment value per panel calculation, but it does make it hard to understand the motivations and sympathize with the characters.
