This is book two in the H.I.S series. While it helps to have read book one, its not necessary, it just gives you a little more background.
THIS WAS A BETA REVIEW.
AJ is working as an enforcer for The Magician, Baltimore's biggest crime boss. When instructed to scare Megan into stop writing about the boss in her newspaper, he never knew just how much his life would change. Assuming, of course, they both have a life to change after going on the run from both the Magician AND the law!
I found this a much better read than H.I.S Desire, which is book one. The story flowed well, the characters believabel and easy to connect with, even that nasty woman! The twists and turns that I did not see coming are what made this book.
I didn't get who the Magician was til it was revealed. I had some ideas, but that particular one was pushed to the side early one! What AJ was up to wasn't immediately obvious and it took some time before that penny dropped, let me tell you!
All of the reasons I gave book one 4 stars have been corrected. Ms Kell's skill is growing and it is showing in her work. There are refereneces to book one, and some laying down of furture books, Jake's especailly. And I look forward to that!

Megan is an investigating journalist. She's out for blood and justice after her brother goes missing. In her mind, Magic shop are to blame for his disappearance. We find ourselves in the depth of her investigation. along the way she meets bad boy AJ. A quick romp on her dining room table and she can't get him out of her head. With plenty of drama along he way, love and despair go hand in hand. Will she get justice for her brother? or will her curious and focused mind bring her danger like no other?
Damn Damn Damn. This book had me teetering on the edge of my seat, completely enraptured in the story and characters. I found myself screaming at my kindle in frustration. I felt like I was there, shouting Megan to run or AJ to man up. Sheila Kell knows how to write. Boy can she write. Amazing characters and an awesome storyline. can't wait for more!
Aimed at audience of 18+ with sex scenes that aren't suitable for younger audiences.

This book was given to me as beta copy in exchange for a review.
Having read and loved the first in this series I have been waiting with abated breath for AJs story and boy oh boy I wasn't disappointed.
The fact that all the way through I was struggling with whether he was a good guy or a bad guy just had me wanting to read more and more to find out.
It's not really needed to read book one, but it helps for you to get a better picture.

HIS Choice is the second book in the HIS Series.
We were introduced to AJ Hamilton in the first book of the HIS series. AJ was working for the FBI back then, now he's gone rogue. He's keeping company with unscrupulous characters and working for Baltimore's largest crime boss the Magician. Drugs, money laundering, and deeds done under the cover of darkness is where his life has spiraled to. Being the baby of five brother's he's out to prove himself. But will his actions take him past the point of no return?
Sent out to be part of a shakedown he unexpectantly bumps into Megan.
Megan Rodgers is a reporter for The Baltimore News First newspaper. Her brother Kevin is missing. He was trying to expose The Magician's gang, Magic Shop. Megan knows The Magician is behind her brother's disappearance and, although she doesn't want to admit it, his possible murder. She becomes obsessed with finding out what's happened to Kevin and she uses her investigative resources to expose the Magician. Megan's spying on Magic Shop doesn't go unnoticed and The Magician sends AJ to threaten the nosy reporter.
When AJ fronts up at Megan's home to threaten the young reporter, it's not just Megan that gets the surprise of her life. With his warning made clear AJ leaves, but Megan continues to dig into the underworld determined to expose the crime boss. What she witnesses will not only expose The Magician but will also sign her death warrant if the truth is revealed.
I loved this book. It has a great storyline and strong characters. Sheila Kell has accomplished a credible sequel. This book has it all. From mystery and suspense to heated encounters if you love your men hot and your encounters steamy this book is a must for you.

This book can be read as a standalone but personally, I would recommend you read it as part of the H.I.S. series, otherwise you might miss out on some fantastic storylines!
We met AJ in book 1, when he was Kate's partner but then we found out that he was going deep undercover. His brothers (and Kate) were all worried about him, but he's a grown man and so they respect his decisions. The trouble is that he goes deeper than ever and starts to worry that the line is getting blurred. Can anything help him? Megan is a newspaper journalist with a nose for trouble. She is like a terrier with a bone and won't give up until she feels that justice has been served, as well as the story! When they meet, it's explosive but how will they get their HEA when they're on opposite sides?
Once again, Sheila has written a top-notch book full of suspense and WAAAY off the charts heatwise. Settle down, make yourself comfortable and make sure you have snacks because, believe me, once you start you won't want to put it down for anything.
Full of surprises and an ending that I didn't see coming, this is a first-class Romantic Suspense novel and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone! Only trouble is, I now have to wait for book 3!

Wow, what a book. I loved book 1 of the H.I.S Series and Sheila Kell's writing is so good. I admire someone who can write such suspense and drama filled books.
H.I.S Choice is full of everything, drama, suspense, crime, hotness and love.
Megan is an investigation journalist, she is hot on a lead to do with a major boss man. Who she suspects was involved with the disappearance of her brother. She is determined to find out the truth and bring the man down.
Along the way she meets some hot men and finds herself in some tricky situations. She will not shy away from what she has set out to do.
This book was difficult to put down, it had me on the edge of my seat and the chemistry between Megan and AJ is HOT! It's well written, gripping and will have you reading late into the night. Great book, great story and a great ending.
Bring on book 3.

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. So here we go... Having read Ms Kell's very first novel, H.I.S. Desire, which happens to be the first book in this related series, I was both interested and intrigued to see how she would fare in her second endeavor. I really liked the first book, a lot. I am happy to say she has grown even more as a writer with this one. A.J. is an interesting and humanly flawed sexy man that you just want to reach out and grab hold of, while Megan is a feisty, strong woman who, sometimes blindly, follows her convictions with strength and courage. There is passion, drama, suspense, hotness! and a sense of family that make it easy to relate to these characters and understand some of their choices. This is a fast paced story with several layers and I really enjoyed it. While each of these books is a stand alone novel, the characters recur and their personalities and relationships begin to build. I am already waiting for the next one!

Another amazing romantic suspense novel by Sheila Kell. HIS Choice has even more drama, suspense, action and surprises. It features Megan Rogers whose kick-ass personality, her drive, passion, fiery attitude, and above all, bravery, steal the show. I fell in love with her character before the first chapter ended.
Not to be outdone, is AJ. A Hamilton brother I fell in love with in book 1: HIS Desire. Hiding secrets from his past and even his present, can AJ ever move on with his life and have a better future?
Sheila created strong, unique characters and a story line that will keep you turning pages. Steamy love scenes will not disappoint you either. The second novel in the series has it all and I cannot wait to read about the rest of the Hamilton brothers. Her books continue to capture your heart and leave you wanting more.

Fantastic! Great chemistry throughout between AJ and Megan right from the beginning. They both have a lot of secrets ... AJ's past puts them both in grave danger. His mission is not to protect her, but he is driven to extreme lengths to ensure her safety nonetheless. Lots of exciting twists and turns along the way make this story a sexy, delicious E-ticket ride!

When I first read about AJ in HIS desire for me he was okay. Sweet easy going but just okay. Here in this book we see a different AJ altogether. No longer does he have the easygoing smile. He is consumed by guilt and allowing his feelings that his family is disappointed in him take over. He is undercover and a bad boy. What a bad boy he is too. Personally this bad boy is more lovable than he was in HIS desire. He's more real. More close to the vest as well though. He is a enforcer and he makes a darn good one. This is how he meets journalist Meagan.
Meagan is sweet ambitious and when she is on a story gets reckless and overeager. She is a eager beaver for sure. She has been hurt by a man in the past and it has jaded her towards that sex. She now pursues the man who had her brother disappear and AJ works for this man. When they run into each other the word description for the touch is spectacular. Just a touch is made to be sexaul tension personified.
AJ is set to give Meagan messages but is also doing jobs for the Magic shop as their enforcer. He is there under the vest because there are dirty agents, cops etc everywhere. His family doesn't even know where he is. He fell off the grid. That is until Meagan. Now he has this pull to protect her at all costs and it does cost him.
When he is in danger so is Meagan and he goes to check on her only to have to rescue her and be on the run with her. Difference is now they are working together even though she doesn't really know him. He is afraid to get close. But he does eventually. This time together on the run is so amazing. The relationship building and danger they are in push this couple to be incredible. They have to learn to trust one another even though this is their worst trait. As they get to know each other, the sexual tension turns to more but unfortuately Meagan's life will always be in danger so it is a bittersweet time as well.
Their pursuit of the Magic shop and to take it down is edge of your seat reading and add in their intimate moments like learning about each other, the little kisses and even the sexual scenes and it is hard to put down. These two are great. Now we add his brothers and Kate and you get some fun ribbing.
The book at the end has a serious twist that isn't really expected but you start to figure it out. A book about love, trust, loyalty and danger. This is the story of AJ and Meagan. How they met, how Meagan pulled AJ from the darkness and how together they took down the Magic shop

Wow, I was glad I was given the chance to read this before release.
Sheila you have done it again and bowled me over again with love for this book.
I had a physical reaction to this book like no other, I had goosebumps all over in part's of the story, and my heart beating so strong I thought it was going to stop.
The adrenaline it gave me, I did have to put it down from time to time but that was only to prolong the story, because I didn't want the story to end.
so can't wait to read the next one.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I am still amazed at what I read even after several days have passed. This was a beautifully written romantic suspense novel. I was on pins and needles throughout the entire book. I had the suspect pool, nicely narrowed down, but I was shocked when it was finally revealed who the mastermind was. It left me speechless as I never saw that one coming. I admit there were subtle signs pointing to this particular person, but I dismissed it as I believed that they just did not have it in them. It just goes to show things are never really what they seem. I don’t want to say too much about the plot as it may lead to spoilers. You will need to go into this story blindly.
HIS Choice by Sheila Kell is the second book in the HIS series. I enjoyed the first book in the series so I was glad to receive a complimentary copy of this installment in exchange for a honest review. I enjoyed this copy just as much as the first book. I guess by now you have figured based on my introduction that this story shocked my system. I found it to be an absorbing read.
In this installment, readers are introduced to Megan Rogers and A. J. Hamilton. Megan is an investigative journalist who is determined to uncover the identity of the Magician, the biggest crime lord in Baltimore. Her determination was fuelled by her desire to find out what happened to her brother who had gone missing. She is convinced that the Magician is responsible for his disappearance. While conducting her investigation, she ran into A.J who is working as an enforcer for the Magician. The chemistry between these two was so hot that for a moment I thought my Kindle would have caught on fire. What follows is a story of intense proportions.
The characters are real and easy to relate to. I found Megan to be tenacious when it came to getting a story. She did not stop to think of the danger associated with what she was doing, however, it was easy to understand her motivation. For her it was not just about getting a story, but uncovering the truth. It was this tenacity that placed her in the Magican’s crosshairs forcing A. J. to protect her at all cost. It was evident that A.J had secrets which he was not willing to reveal. This, however, proved difficult to hide given that he was in the company of a tenacious investigative journalist. Being on the run together led to them growing closer, thus allowing Megan to realise that A.J may not be what he seems. During this time the attraction that was evident from their first meeting grew with much intensity.
The story grabbed my attention from the first page. It flowed and the pacing was well balanced. The author’s writing style was amazing. She made everything come alive, so much that I felt I was a part of every scene.
HIS Choice is a gripping and intense read. It will appeal to fans of romance, mystery and suspense. This book kept me awake as I was intent on finishing it. Everything about this book had me hooked. I am now waiting with bated breath for the next book in the series.
HIS Choice by Sheila Kell is the second book in the HIS series. I enjoyed the first book in the series so I was glad to receive a complimentary copy of this installment in exchange for a honest review. I enjoyed this copy just as much as the first book. I guess by now you have figured based on my introduction that this story shocked my system. I found it to be an absorbing read.
In this installment, readers are introduced to Megan Rogers and A. J. Hamilton. Megan is an investigative journalist who is determined to uncover the identity of the Magician, the biggest crime lord in Baltimore. Her determination was fuelled by her desire to find out what happened to her brother who had gone missing. She is convinced that the Magician is responsible for his disappearance. While conducting her investigation, she ran into A.J who is working as an enforcer for the Magician. The chemistry between these two was so hot that for a moment I thought my Kindle would have caught on fire. What follows is a story of intense proportions.
The characters are real and easy to relate to. I found Megan to be tenacious when it came to getting a story. She did not stop to think of the danger associated with what she was doing, however, it was easy to understand her motivation. For her it was not just about getting a story, but uncovering the truth. It was this tenacity that placed her in the Magican’s crosshairs forcing A. J. to protect her at all cost. It was evident that A.J had secrets which he was not willing to reveal. This, however, proved difficult to hide given that he was in the company of a tenacious investigative journalist. Being on the run together led to them growing closer, thus allowing Megan to realise that A.J may not be what he seems. During this time the attraction that was evident from their first meeting grew with much intensity.
The story grabbed my attention from the first page. It flowed and the pacing was well balanced. The author’s writing style was amazing. She made everything come alive, so much that I felt I was a part of every scene.

I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well and the story kept you interested. The story has laughs, suspense, pain, kidnapping, and heartbreak.

HIS Choice is Sheila Kell’s second book in her H.I.S. series. It is a standalone novel, but if you want a little bit of history on AJ and the men/women of H.I.S. you will also want to read Ms. Kell’s debut novel HIS Desire.
I absolutely fell in love with all the Hamilton brothers along with the romance, mystery and intrigue in Ms. Kell’s HIS Desire novel, so I was interested to see if she would be able to carry it over into AJ’s story. I am happy to say I was not disappointed; I think Ms. Kell has found the perfect formula for writing in the romantic suspense genre. The heroine, Megan Rogers is a very strong, feisty, determined and lovable character. Megan is a reporter determined to learn the truth about her brother’s disappearance while researching a man called “The Magician”- a crime boss who is so elusive that even those that work for him do not know his identity. The hero, AJ, is a former FBI agent who harbors such a deep-seated secret and regret that it makes him not only turn his back on his tight-knit family, but also turns him into a rogue FBI agent now working for the most notorious crime boss in Baltimore.
I liked Megan from the beginning as she did what was necessary to get the information she needed to not only expose the Magician but to bring down his entire operation. She wasn’t afraid to post pictures of dangerous encounters she witnessed through tips by her informants if it brought her closer to the truth. As far as AJ was concerned, I really loved him in the HIS Desire novel because he was always there for his family/brothers who begged him to join their Hamilton family business. I appreciated the fact that as the youngest, AJ wanted to prove to his brothers that he could make his own way in the world. He was not only a hard working FBI agent but an excellent one as well. Therefore, when I was reading AJ’s story, I was very upset with Ms. Kell for letting AJ’s demons haunt him so that it changed him from being an upstanding, turn his head the other way/helping his brothers when they needed it, FBI agent to a basic thug.
Megan and AJ definitely had chemistry from the get-go. Their first face-to-face encounter in Megan’s apartment was very, very hot, yet very strange. All I could think was, “Wow, did that just happen?” AJ was there to be an enforcer and warn her off, yet his overwhelming presence with their combined sexual magnetism only set the stage for them to be further drawn together. When one of Megan’s articles with specific details about the illegal activities of the Magician went public, AJ suddenly found himself in the Magician’s crosshairs. As AJ and Megan went on the run, Ms. Kell redeemed herself by making sure that AJ took care of Megan as they both started to work together to not only survive the wrath of the Magician but to expose him and bring him down.
HIS Choice was fast paced with such strong characters, a strong story line as well as the intrigue that makes this a must read. Along the way, I had so many questions because there were so many twists and turns and side stories with different types of betrayal that not only did I not know who they could trust, but I honestly did not know who the Magician was until the very end. Very well played Ms. Kell! My only issue that detracted a little from the story was AJ’s pet name for Megan. I love pet names that are special and not the typical ones used; however, it was a little too much for me as he used it from his very first encounter with her all the way to the end of the story. I was beginning to think he didn’t know her name.
If you are a fan of the Romantic Suspense Genre, I truly believe you will love HIS Choice. While you pick up a copy of HIS Choice, you better get a copy of HIS Desire as well because you are going to want to keep up with the Hamilton brothers. The second book in the HIS series by Sheila Kell, I have to say that as a standalone it is a great read but you shouldn’t short change yourself- if you haven’t read book one, HIS Desire then I really would recommend that you give it a go, you will not be disappointed.
But what do I have to say about this story in particular- well, what I have to say can be very easily summed up – I loved it.
I especially loved AJ – dear me the man has being an alpha male banged to rights!
AJ was in book one but this is his story now – he is no longer in the FBI, in fact her he appears to have hopped over to the other side of the fence and is dabbling in some activities that were far from what I imagined him to be capable of. He is aligned himself with The Magician, who just happens to be one of the biggest crime lords in the city of Baltimore and has fingers in all manner of illegal dealings. Just what is AJ playing at?
Megan works for one of Baltimore’s newspapers, she is obsessed and rightly so with the fact that her brother Kevin is missing and she is certain that the Magician has something to do with it. She is hanging on to the hope that Kevin is Ok but has a niggling fear is that she may never see her brother alive again. She has to find out and using every avenue open to her she sets out to discover what has happened.
Good or bad she needs to know what the hell is going on.
First stop in her investigation, check out the Magic Shop but subtlety is not her strong point and her actions mean that she is now on the Magician’s radar and he sends AJ to put her in her place!.
Life as an enforcer has its ups and downs and it also has the propensity to slap you round the back of the head when you least expect it. Fronting up at Megan’s door to warn her off whatever she thinks she is doing, AJ gets more than he bargains for when he sees the feisty reporter for the first time but warning issued he walks away, not realising that life for the two of them is likely to never be the same again.
Megan may have appeared to take what AJ was telling her to heart but she has bigger fish to fry, she is certain that the fact that the Magician sent AJ to warn her off has to mean something- right?
Well, she could very well be sniffing around the right honey pot but when push comes to shove what she uncovers could very well be the final nail in her coffin, can she survive the Magician’s wrath?
Megan refuses to cow tail to the demands that the Magician has made, leaving AJ’s options limited, so he takes matters into his own hands in order to protect her and when the order comes to put an end to her investigation and her – permanently – AJ kidnaps her and they end up on the run.
Can he keep her safe and can he elude not on the Magician but Law Enforcement? He does nothing by halves this guy and I don’t think I would want him to.
The characters and storyline are fabulous, the mystery and intrigue is elusive and the twists at times completely blindsided me.
AJ is a smoking hot man and his connection with Megan will have you fanning your face – it is HOT!
There are other characters in the book that added depth to the story and I was knocked for six when the identity of the Magician was revealed but I have to say that there is one particular character that I could have easily done without and you will know who she is when you read the book – absolute bitch!
I had an inkling that there was more to AJ than initially laid before me but it took a while for his motive to become clear. But I was smiling to myself at the dilemma that Megan was in but relieved that the truth was able to allow her to clarify her internal struggle.
Sometimes it is impossible to see the whole picture and being kept in the dark is not only necessity but advantageous. AJ was determined to carry out his role even though he had more to lose and prove in the end than he had originally bargained for.
Events and incidents overtook the pair of them as did the strength of their feelings.
A great read and a superb addition to the series.

AJ Hamilton is this smoking hot man and practically oozing-with-sexiness everywhere on his body (or maybe god sounds better?) and Megan Rogers is this feisty woman who knows no bounds of danger when she has her head zeroed in on something and give it all her best to accomplish it!
Their first encounter is actually pretty unique and WAY. TOO. HOT.
Lets not forget how interesting it was!
The interaction between Megan and AJ is simply too humorous! Megan is not just your typical feisty heroine, but quite a hot-headed and determined one! She definitely puts AJ in line…or probably gives him loads of trouble when he is trying to keep her safe!
Despite all these, they are attracted to each other and can I just say how much my heart cried for them?! Especially nearing the last quarter of this novel?
(I think the words I am looking for are painful and heart-wrenching?!)
Another interesting thing is that…ONE OF THE MOST UNEXPECTED PERSON ACTUALLY IS THE MAGICIAN THAT IS TRYING TO KILL MEGAN AND AJ?
(Honestly, I thought it was another person because it was so suspicious!)
Highly recommended for all readers to read this and if possible, read HIS Desire first otherwise you’ll be just like me, totally regretting not reading the first BECAUSE THE H.I.S. SERIES IS JUST TOO GOOD!

I loved this book. It has twists and turns and I didn't expect the big bad guy and his helper to be who they were. I can usually figure that out so it always great when I am surprised or can't figure it out. AJ and Megan are great characters. Megan is tenacious and when she gets a lead she goes after it with everything most of the times forgetting all about her own safety which is how she meets AJ. AJ feels like he doesn't deserve happiness. He did something he regrets a long time ago and won't be able to start really living his own life again until he fixes it. AJ and Megan feel an instant connection however for different reasons they don't want to feel that way. AJ needs to do what he is doing focus on his job and fixing his mistake and Megan because she thinks AJ is a criminal. After a bit they realize they can't fight their feeling for each other. All though Megan jumps in with both feet, AJ continues to hold back about he truly feels for Megan, continually telling himself that when all this is over he will need to leave her. They can't ever have a future, she deserves better than him. She will realize that she only feels this way about him because of the situation they are in. I loved reading about the Hamilton brothers again. They are fantastic and always there for each other not matter what. Kate is great as always and she tries to help Megan through everything that is going on. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I think I have an idea about who the next book will be about and if I am right I will be super excited. Sheila Kell is a great author. She writes a great story with fantastic characters that draw you in and make you feel for the characters and what they are going through.

When I got the Chance to read H.I.S. Choice I have to tell you I was very excited. I was intrigued by AJ in the firs H.I.S. Book. He had about him bit of mystery and arrogance. I am glad he didn't disappointed me. I am glad I got the chance to read his story, and get to know the real him. He drew many emotions from me and had on the edge of my seat wanting to know what was going on.
This book definitely carries a punch. You have it all in an action suspense book. The romance, the hot heated sex between sheets and other places. Unexpected action packed scenes that you can imagine so clearly as if you where watching it happen right before your eyes. This book definitely captivates you and has you wishing you could skip work to finish it. Lol unfortunately I couldn't.
Oh, and the female lead was just amazing. Megan was after a mission and once she had a hold of it she was like a dog with a bone. She had me laughing, agreeing with her, and just thinking lucky girl. Who wouldn't love that kind of adventure. However, what I adored the most was all live like personality. You could relate to everything she had to deal with.
This book was worth the wait. Oh, and AJ is just the perfect mix of bad boy/good boy. Sometimes we need an alpha who understand you well enough to keep you by his side even when facing danger. Loved it, and can't wait to see which Hamilton Brother is next. I am rooting for a sexy nerd

A Great Suspenseful Read!
This is book 2 in the H.I.S. series but each book can be read as a standalone. Megan is a newspaper reporter who's brother ends up missing. Megan knows the gangster who is responsible. He's the head of a gang called the magic shop and she decides to use her snooping skills as a reporter to find out what exactly happened, and expose the guilty party. AJ used to work for the law, now he's playing on the other side, working for the magician, the head of the magic shop and he is sent after Megan to make sure she stops her snooping. Will she stop? Or will AJ have to make her his business? This was a terrific read, well written, the plot was well crafted, and the characters were real, and believable and likable. (the ones we're supposed to like) This book has it all, mystery, suspense, hot alpha men, and steamy scenes. This is the kind of book that will have you on the edge of your seat. Yelling at your e-reader, flipping pages as fast as you cAn to find out what happens next. There are unexpected twists, and the author keeps you guessing up until the big reveal. (the ones we're supposed to like) This book has it all, mystery, suspense, hot alpha men, and steamy scenes. This is the kind of book that will have you on the edge of your seat. Yelling at your e-reader, flipping pages as fast as you cAn to find out what happens next. There are unexpected twists, and the author keeps you guessing up until the big reveal. Looking for an exciting and dangerously hot read? Well the second installment to the H.I.S series won;t let you down. It is hotter than the first and even more exciting... well to me it was and I hope you agree. We again have the men of H.I.S hired to protect a not so damsel in distress. When they find who they have to protect her from they freak. Will they be able to do t?

HIS Choice is the second book in Sheila Kell’s H.I.S. series. This is a standalone book and can easily be read without reading the first book in the series, HIS Desire. References to some of the characters from HIS Desire are made in this book.
A.J. Hamilton, aka AJ Sands, goal is to take down The Magician while Megan Rogers wants to discover who was behind her brother’s disappearance. HIS Choice is an action filled page turner. I do have to admit I had difficulties getting into the book, at first, but once I did, I couldn’t put it down. Ms. Kell cleverly takes you down the road with many twists and turns until she divulges who is behind the role of the The Magician.
I enjoy characters creating their own terms of endearment; however, I feel she overused the phase “my little dove.” I would have liked to have seen Ms. Kell refer to “Megan” the character name or use something else instead of the overuse of “my little dove.”
The characters in HIS Choice were well developed and the plot unfolded at a steady pace. I recommend HIS Choice and look forward to the next installment of H.I.S novels. I would like to disclose that I received an advanced copy of HIS Choice in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Edge of your seat suspense is combined with hot sexual chemistry.Such a great ride!
I loved the first book in the H.I.S. Series but His Choice tops it! Sheila Kell crafts wonderful storylines that take dramatic suspense and weave it with such strong engaging characters. The dedication Megan has toward her brother is heartwarming. In HIS Desire, AJ seemed almost sweet but in this story, Hello Bad Boy! Like all bad boys, he is beyond hot but also consumed by guilt that fuels him. The twists and turns this story takes kept me guessing. The chemistry between AJ and Megan is sizzling! I also enjoyed all the brotherly banter. I can’t wait for more in this series. Each seems better than the last. Although this can be read as a standalone, I really recommend reading HIS Desire as well. They are both exciting can’t put down until the end perfection.

I've read book one and loved it though so I do suggest reading both.
HIS Choice is AJ's story, when we meet him he's working for a drug lord as an enforcer.
Megan is an investigative reporter looking to bring the kingpin and everyone else involved with the drug trade down while trying to find out what happened to her brother Kevin who disappeared while investigating the same people.
Once Megan is threatened AJ can't ignore the part of him that needs to protect her and their story begins.
There's suspense, action, romance and so hot as hell sexy times along the way to both of them working to take down the same enemy.
Kell has once again hooked me in the first few chapters and kept me glued to my kindle until the very end.

I loved book one and equally loved book 2 just as much. The authors writing has progressed well from her first novel and i gave the first novel 5 stars as well. I adore romantic suspense books and this story certainly kept me guessing. We got to meet AJ in book 1 but it is great to finally read all his story and Megan's as well. This book kept me engaged throughout and was the perfect blend of romance, crime and suspense meant i could barely put the book down the weekend i read it. The connection between Megan and AJ is brilliant and i want to know more about the characters in this series as i adored both this book and the first by this talented author.

This is a great read that I truly enjoyed, even when I was mad at some of the scenes! I really think it was a fun read that keeps you enthralled with all the suspense right to the end.

*Warning* Screaming hissy tirade about to commence. Take cover or close your eyes if you don't want spoilers, cause this is a big-'un.
First: A couple of questions: Would someone PAHLEEAASE tell me what it is about TOO STUPID TO LIVE heroines that authors seem to love? I mean NO common sense, completely unfreaking-believable characters who do things that not even the drunk and unconscious would consider. This book would be the perfect example of this enigma. Words can't even explain the actions of Megan throughout the first half of this story.
And another explanation is in order (because I am obviously not clued-in enough to figure this stuff out on my own.). WHY in heaven's name and hades address does anyone enjoy the hyper over-used trope of "hero" who falls in love with girl, does everything to make girl fall in love with him, all while spending the entire book whining that he's no good for her and must break her heart and leave rather than have the cajones to suck it up and stay? A.J. could win an award for this one.
Seriously... there's a comment area below. Help me understand before I start burning books (and believe me, there's a bonfire a'waitin.)
Not only are those two nail-chewing tropes abundantly used in this book, but for the final nail in the coffin (slammed in so hard the ground shudders) the "happy" ending shows our headstrong female suddenly becoming the doormat of all doormats when, after he has absolutely ripped her heart to shreds and left and FIVE MONTHS have passed, he suddenly shows up again. Says, "oops" made a mistake, I'm sorry, and she instantly jumps in his arms and forgives. Ta-da!!!!
Oh, let the screaming commence. GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Whew.... I needed that.... Now for the reason this actually rated a 3.0. No, I'm not bi-polar. This author is just a freaking good story-teller. In spite of all the ridiculousness used in the tropes for this book, her stories, themselves are really very good. And, I'm hoping now that she has gotten it out of her system, we'll be back to seeing awesome, hot love stories that actually make sense and are worth believing in.

I loved Sheila's first book HIS Desire and was blown away by Jesse and Kate. Now we meet Kate's partner in the FBI but has gone rogue AJ, the baby of the Hamilton Brothers, working with Baltimore's largest crime boss the Magician and the company he keeps with unscrupulous characters isn't doing him any favours. AJ need to prove himself but can he do that before he hit the pint of no return??
Megan is a reporter and is trying to find out what happens to her brother, she knows the Magician is behind the disappearance of Kevin and keeps digging. Will she find what she is after or will she find more??
I love the writing style of Sheila, easy to read and grips you from the beginning. I love the character and the storyline. I thought the first book was great but I love this one more and Can't wait to meet the rest of the Hamilton gang.
I will give it 5 stars as there isn't any more to give. Please don't make us wait too long for the next instalment of HIS ......
