Perfect for anyone who’s ever dreamed of a flawless celebration, only to find real life has other plans. Dreaming of the perfect wedding, Jess imagines a day filled with elegance, laughter, and her soulmate Adam waiting at the end of the aisle. But when her fiercely determined mother, Steph, seizes control of every detail, from the dress to the dinner, Jess’s vision quickly unravels into chaos. As Steph’s ambitions threaten to overshadow the bride, Jess finds herself fighting for her own voice on the day that’s supposed to be hers. Ellie, Jess’s loyal bridesmaid and usually the calm in the storm, is distracted by her own personal dramas, leaving Jess without her trusted support. Meanwhile, Adam faces his own disaster when Simon, his best friend and best man, suffers a spectacular accident that lands him in hospital just days before the ceremony. With the Wedding Party in disarray and time running out, Adam must find a replacement or risk the day falling apart. Packed with sharp humour, heartfelt moments, and the universal struggle to balance family expectations with personal happiness, ‘Wedding Party’ is a story about friendship, resilience, and discovering what’s worth fighting for.
Thank you to the author & whimsy words for providing me with an ARC!
This is the third book in the series and I love how you feel like you're part of the friend group when you read them lol! I thoroughly enjoyed it and read it in two sittings.
Please tell me there will be another book!! You can not end it like that!! 🤣😅 sign of a fantastic book!!
Oh Dixie I absolutely LOVED her new favourite character, what a sweetheart ❤️ Please give her a HEA!!
“Today I was brave. Today I was kind. Today I remembered, I am worth it.”
Honestly I adore all these books, every single one is such an absolute joy to read and this one was no different!!
I loved revisiting the characters and seeing how their lives have progressed! You honestly feel like you know them 😅🤣
It's honestly such a brilliantly written book that is so feel good but also hits some hard topics you can't help love all the main characters! Even when they've made some rubbish choices!
But Ellie girl you deserve the best - Learn it! ❤️✨️🌟🙌
I absolutely loved writing this book as it was so much fun. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Perfect for anyone who’s ever dreamed of a flawless celebration, only to find real life has other plans. Dreaming of the perfect wedding, Jess imagines a day filled with elegance, laughter, and her soulmate Adam waiting at the end of the aisle.
📚 BOOK REVIEW 📚 Shoperapy and the Wedding Party - Stephanie Scott Book Three in the Shoperapy series ✨️ Publication Date: 22nd September
Aaaaand we are BACK with another installment of Ellie Edwards and Shoperapy. 🛍 In this book, we follow Ellie's best friend, Jess and her plans for the perfect wedding to Adam. Every bride dreams of her big day from such a young age, every last minute detail meticulously planned, however, not everyone has a mum who is determined to take control. 🥴 With that, personal problems with members of the bridal party are the last thing Jess needs. Will the day be everything Jess had ever hoped for or will her dreams come crashing down?
I just have such a love for Ellie and her stories! This was a great story of how it can be a struggle to please everyone when planning a wedding, how different people can be confronted with different problems and how, as a friendship group, resolutions can be found in the most unlikely way. I loved the bond between the group and I really felt like I was internally giving them all advice along the way - like I was part of the group ❤️
Thank you to @stephaniescott_author and @whimsywordspr for another fabulous episode of Ellie Edwards 🩷🛍
Shopperapy and the Wedding Party had me hooked from the beginning. I absolutely loved the mix of humour, friendship, relationships and all the chaos that comes with bringing a wedding party together. It is the kind of book that is easy to get lost in and leaves you wanting to keep reading just one more chapter. The characters were a real highlight for me. They felt relatable, each bringing their own personality and quirks to the story, and I really enjoyed seeing all the different relationships and dynamics unfold. There were plenty of funny moments that genuinely made me smile, alongside some more heartfelt moments that added a lovely balance to the story. I particularly enjoyed the wedding theme and the way the story captured the excitement, pressure and unpredictability that can come with weddings. There is plenty going on, but it all comes together to create a lighthearted and enjoyable story that kept me entertained throughout.
Reading this one felt like meeting up with friends I've not seen in ages.
The same characters and they're still evolving, growing and finding themselves thanks to Ellie (and of course Stephanie) I literally laughed out loud at the "private" chat between Ellie and Simon. I think Book 3 is about many of them taking chances on themselves and stepping outside of their boxes. I feel a lot of us can relate to that especially on middle age The plot twists I wasnt expecting. Had me holding my breath as does the cliffhanger ending ..Stephanie how could you ??
One little niggle the cover is gorgeous however I was looking forward to the shocking pink from books 1& 2 to continue the theme. That's my OCD I’m sure
Thank you @whimsywordspr and @stephaniescott_author for a chance to read the third book in the Shoperapy universe!
Another fun outing for the girls, this time in the form of a wedding and more characters to get to know! I love how it shows the struggles of pleasing everyone and how much you just need your girls to fall back on. They really do have the nest of friendships!
And hello! The ending?? Cliffhanger!
Another great story, it's good to be back to see what they are up to!
I received an advanced copy of Shoperapy and the Wedding Party from Whimsy Words PR and the author. Between the wedding week chaos, family drama, friendships, and romance, there was always something happening. This made think back to when I was planning my wedding and how chaotic it was. I really enjoyed following Jess as she navigated everything thrown her way, and there were plenty of moments that had me smiling.
This is book 3 in Scott's Shoptherapy series and fair warning - ends in a cliffy. That said, I love this addition to the series with another outing for the girls. I love a wedding but all the people pleasing that goes with it?!?! Love how we're introduced to more characters, chaos, family drama, friendships, and romance. I can't wait for more!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
- Another fun, drama filled instalment with Ellie and the girls. This made for another quick, easy to read book. I enjoyed the characters in this one and definitely hold a a soft spot for Dixie. Her character had such emotion and depth and I really felt for her.
Poor Jess has Steph planning everything she doesn’t want in her wedding, I know weddings are stressful to plan but just be glad you don’t have Steph to please!
Overall an entertaining read, and that ending… such a cliffhanger!
Thank you Stephanie & whimsy words Pr for kindly gifting me this ARC. I enjoyed this story. It is book 3 in the series and I highly recommend reading the others before starting this so you too can blend into the friendship group like I did 🥳Ellie is the best friend everyone wants 💖💖
Was lucky enough to read this before publication as I did with Stephanie’s previous two books and it did not disappoint. I loved it. Recommend to anyone looking for a fun romcom 👌
Read this book in one day, I couldn’t put it down. Loved having Ellie back in my life. She really is a girls best friend. Recommend for anyone who is looking for a fun lighthearted read.
