Spooky Spicy sapphic fun
A very sweet and wonderful sapphic story. I love a good story and people finding themselves and their person. Alive or unalive. Hehe. I didn't realize this is book three in a series and plan to read the others.

This is book 3 in the Chaotic Paranormals series and I made a huge mistake and read this one first, becoming completely obsessed and needing to go back and read the first 2 books. I loved these characters so much and was immediately emotionally invested. The story was so foodnand had the perfect level of intensity to keep me on the edge of my seat and make it hard to put the book down. A perfect sapphic romance with such delicious yearning.

I was craving something paranormal so badly, and it had been forever since I’d read a ghost x human romance. The second this eARC hit my inbox, I dropped everything and jumped right in. I was convinced it was going to be perfect for me. While I did have fun with it, by the end I couldn’t help feeling like something was missing. The premise had so much potential, but the emotional execution didn’t quite deliver.
The story follows Gwen, who buys an abandoned property with the dream of transforming its greenhouse into a butterfly house. Everything changes when she meets Viviana, a beautiful Latina woman who, despite looking very much alive, is actually a ghost. Vivi has been trapped at her childhood home ever since she and her family died in a tragic car accident, and somehow Gwen is the first person who's been able to see her in years. As the two spend more time together, their feelings grow, but with one of them belonging to the world of the living and the other to the world of the dead, you’re left asking yourself: does their love ever actually stand a chance?
From her very first scene, I knew Gwen was going to be my favorite. She has this bubbly, infectious energy that makes her impossible not to love. Whether she was talking to herself, getting adorably flustered, or throwing herself wholeheartedly into her butterfly house dream, she constantly made me smile. What I admired most was how she kept moving forward, even when she doubted herself.
That said, I do wish her character arc had been explored with a bit more care. Her struggles with self-confidence and her relationship with her family are brought up throughout the story, so I kept expecting them to become a defining part of her growth. While I appreciated seeing Gwen become more open about her insecurities, that conflict wrapped up so quickly that it didn’t carry the emotional weight I wanted. With a little more buildup, her journey would’ve felt even more satisfying.
Viviana was the character I had a harder time connecting with. I completely understood why she was more guarded, especially considering everything she'd lost. Being trapped in one place and having no control over your own future is heartbreaking, and I thought the way her grief was portrayed was genuinely touching. I just wish we’d gotten to see a little more growth from her outside of that.
I was also really excited when I learned this was the third book in the series because I thought we’d get a strong found family dynamic with the returning characters. Sadly, that wasn’t quite the case. They don’t become involved until much later, and their arrival felt a little too convenient. Instead of naturally becoming part of Gwen and Vivi’s lives, they mostly served the plot, so I never got the cozy found family vibe I was looking for.
As for the romance… it was incredibly sweet. There were definitely a few moments that felt a little cheesy for my taste, but overall it had a very tender quality that I appreciated. My biggest struggle was how quickly everything happened. This is very much an insta-love romance, and since that’s a trope I rarely connect with, I found it difficult to fully believe in their relationship. The emotional connection develops almost as quickly as the physical attraction, and I kept waiting for that moment when everything would click. But it never really did.
More than anything, I wanted to believe they chose each other because of who they were as people. Instead, I often got the impression that it was their circumstances, rather than their compatibility, that brought them together. There are certainly moments of vulnerability between them, and I could see what the author was aiming for, but their chemistry never felt as effortless or convincing as I wanted. In the end, I wasn’t nearly as emotionally invested in their relationship as I’d hoped to be.
Overall, it wasn’t the best fit for me, but it definitely has what it takes to be a hit for the right reader. If cozy paranormal romances are your thing, and you enjoy insta-love, magical small-town settings, a lovable supernatural cast, no third act breakup, and stories about hope, healing, and finding beauty in new beginnings, I think you’ll have a wonderful time with this one.

Light moves fast but Vivi and Gwen move faster 👀👀
I devoured this book within a day. Every time I wanted to pause, the next chapter title made me laugh and pulled me back in.
The story required a lot of suspension if disbelief on my end—not because of the paranormal aspects, but because of the butterfly house storyline. I struggled to wrap my head around the logistics that got Gwen there in the first place when she didn't know a thing about butterflies or botany, and I did wonder how profitable a butterfly house really could be to be an interesting investment for a bank, but that really wasn't the point of the story. The point was Gwen and Vivi.
I really like these characters on their own as well as together. Their initial dynamic was really interesting. I didn't mind the instalust, although the book did lose me a little when that turned to instalust. Within ten pages (I exaggerate, but not by a lot) we went from "she's pretty i want to touch her" to "this is MY girl and I cannot live without her". After the first third, those two were so committed to each other and obsessed with each other, I truly wondered where the book would go from there because surely, that's the romantic endgame right there? In retrospect, I do understand the intensity of their attachment given how Vivi's ghost situation was solved—anything less than a love that intense would have made it hard to justify the bond those two entered.
My favorite part was when the rest of the chaos gang entered the scene. I have not read any of the previous books, and I really wished I had because I think would have enjoyed it even more. This is one of those books for which it worth to stress just how interconnected with the rest of the series is.
I felt like I had grasped Raya and Asher's dynamic soon enough (although the significance of Riverie was a little lost on me, although she's a fun character who I'm sure shone brightly in their book), but To and Lor remain a mystery to me. In many ways, I felt like Gwen did witnessing their chaos.
Lor went from saying no to saying yes very quickly, and I'm sure there's a reason for that for people who read her story, but for me, I felt like I had to just accept it as something I wouldn't understand, which isn't my preferred way of interacting with a story. That being said, Ro and Lor did steal the show a little and I found myself more interested in their dynamic than Vivi and Gwen's.
Still, I'm left with questions about their backstories, and I really wished I had known that knowing their backstories was, on some level, required to really grasp the full picture in this book.
Overall, this is a fun and cozy read. I enjoyed that the potential arguments between Vivi and Gwen were squashed relatively quickly (communication!! In a romance!!) and we got to see them flourish, although I did struggle with the pacing a little. I wished their attachment had more time to grow and wouldn't have been quite so i'd-die-for-you levels of intense from the start to give the ending a bit more oomph. I also would have loved to read a little more world building, especially in terms of the spirit world and other paranormals.
There's a good amount of spice which was really well-written!
I do recommend this book and I'm likely to check out the rest of the series, even though I don't tend to read MF. Id recommend anyone interested in this book doing the same! Being familiar with the chaos gang would have made this an even more fun read.

The foreword at the beginning explains that this book is set in a magical world without homophobia. While I do enjoy true representation in queer stories (because the world needs to learn to grow), I also completely understand the appeal of having a story where you can just take a break from reality and enjoy the romance without that added weight.

Viviana: Colombian heritage and speaks Spanish, often giving nicknames and flirting in her mother tongue. Loves gardening and nature.
The book is written with dual POV, and the romance starts almost immediately. There’s a fast friendship followed by Insta attraction on both sides, with the relationship/friendship being very tender and caring. There’s lots of kissing and gentle touching, which definitely gives the book a very cosy, sweetly romantic feeling.
My biggest issue was that the relationship felt far too rushed. They only knew each other a week or so before behaving like an established couple, so I struggled to really feel the development of their relationship. I also found that the characters themselves lacked a bit of depth, which made the romance feel somewhat flat. Perhaps a bit too cosy and simple for my preference.
The pacing was quite slow for me too. The plot didn’t really start to grab my attention until around the 65% mark, and that was when things finally became more interesting. Before that, I found myself waiting for something to really happen. Like it was establishing the relationship before the main plot lines.
Overall, this is a cosy sapphic romance with some plot, a little spice, plenty of magic and some lovely supernatural friendships. It's a quick and easy read, and I can definitely see fans of cosy paranormal romance enjoying it. Especially if you want a HEA.

The book alternates between two POVs: Gwen, a woman trying her best to make the most of a fresh start, even when she feels entirely in over her head, and Viviana, a ghost who's been stuck for too long, but she's unsure what she needs to get unstuck.
When the two of them meet in the greenhouse that used to belong to Vivi's mother—the same greenhouse Gwen is now fixing up into a butterfly house—they start to realize that maybe they both just needed someone to bring some sunshine into their lives.

I loved Gwen and Vivi so much. Gwen's struggle of wanting to do something with her life that will make her happy, but not knowing exactly how to get there (and still doing the damn thing anyway) felt very real and relatable. Vivi being stuck after her death and the tragedy of losing her whole family was just heartbreaking. Since she died fairly young, it was so nice seeing her get a second chance to find love and live the life she never had the chance to before the accident.
And of course the race to figure out why Vivi has started fading away before it's too late had me on the edge of my seat! These ladies have just found each other and realized how strong their feeling are for one another, and you're telling me one of them might disappear forever??? 😱

I had so much fun reading this book! When I hear “paranormal romance,” I always think it means ghost romance and am disappointed when it's anything else. This perfectly scratched my itch for a sapphic ghost protagonist!
The stakes of this romance felt real as well as fresh. The two protagonists are being pulled apart by circumstances more permanent than death in this universe, desperately searching for a way to hang on to each other. Gwen was a grounding force for Vivi, and Vivi provided Gwen the support she needed. I loved these two! I actually got so invested I teared up at the thought of Gwen losing Vivi, it's rare that a romance gets to me that way.
Vivi's connection to her Guatemalan culture and Gwen's efforts to learn about it were a sweet part of the story. I appreciate that Bair used sensitivity readers and Spanish speakers to help her writing. That and consulting a real entomologist for butterfly facts both added to the story and reflect how much Bair cares for her characters.
I wish we had a little bit more resolution around Vivi's family. Feels like there's room for more story there, and I definitely would not have minded if the book was longer to explore it. I found Gwen's familial issues to be lacking substance and because of that I wasn't really invested.
The spice was hot and vanilla. I've not read the earlier books in this series and it worked for me as a standalone, however, it seems the two other couples are a little less vanilla based on how they behave in this book ;) That piqued my interest and I might pick those up as well!

I wish we had a little bit more resolution around Vivi's family. Feels like there's room for more story there, and I definitely would not have minded if the book was longer to explore it. I found Gwen's familial issues to be lacking substance and because of that I wasn't really invested.
The spice was hot and vanilla. I've not read the earlier books in this series and it worked for me as a standalone, however, it seems the two other couples are a little less vanilla based on how they behave in this book ;) That piqued my interest and I might pick those up as well!

This book was such a fun read, but it also means a little more to me because I was part of the sensitivity reading team. Seeing the finished version after being involved earlier in the process was honestly so special.
Gwen purchases an abandoned property with plans to restore the greenhouse and turn it into a butterfly house. What she does not expect is to find Viviana there. Vivi is beautiful, very much present, and also very much a ghost. She has been tied to the property since the accident that killed her family, and Gwen is the first person who has been able to see her in years.
Of course, spending so much time together leads to feelings, but falling for someone who is technically dead comes with a few complications.
I loved the dynamic between Gwen and Vivi. They are both capable, independent women who have gotten used to relying only on themselves, so watching them slowly make room for each other was one of my favorite parts. I also really appreciated having a spicy Latina FMC and seeing her culture included in a way that felt natural to the story. The Spanish pet names definitely got me too.
The greenhouse setting was gorgeous, the side characters added so much personality, and I stayed invested in how they were possibly going to make this relationship work. Also, the spice was top tier.
Even though this is the third book in the Chaotic Paranormals series, I had no problem reading it as a standalone. Now I definitely want to go back and read the rest of the series.

Sadly though, unlike the first two books in this series, this just didn't work for me.
I do think this book does diversity quite well and I liked the Spanish used throughout, the way Vivi swapped between it and English adding nicely to her character.
The actual writing for this book was great to, it had the same cozy vibes as the first two books.
Beyond this however, I just really struggled to care for the characters or their romance. Personally I couldn't get a good lock on Gwens or Vivis personalities beyond one or two elements, such as Gwens hard working nature.
I also just didnt overly care about the actual background plot from Gwens perspective because I didnt understand the drive behind it, beyond wanting to prove she could do it? Why butterflies? Why this particular property? It just felt a bit to wishy washy for my tastes.
I also personally struggled to connect with the negative family aspects to Gwens PoV, not really seeing where her character was coming from, however I can also see the flip side of it and believe some readers may really connect with that portion of her story.
I do think this will be a good cozy fall read for those who like faster paced romances, especially Sapphic ones. There's also no third act breakup or anything negative like that so for those readers who hate that in books, worry not!!

I haven’t read the other 2 books in the series, but didn’t have a problem with diving right in. The story’s main focus is on Gwen and Viviana. Gwen, who bought a property with intentions of transforming a greenhouse into a butterfly house, until one day she stumbles upon a woman in said greenhouse. And the woman, Viv, who is very surprised that someone can actually see her.
Their days suddenly started to get more exciting then before, ever maybe and they start to develop an easy friendship, and much more emotions towards each other. If only everything would be that easy, right?
I had a great time reading this book. I didn’t feel lost despite starting the series with this book. The characters felt authentic. I loved their easy banter, and how natural their relationship felt from the beginning. They were truly adorable, but funny all the same.
The pacing was good. The side characters were also well introduced into the story. It was just enough to like them without them overshadowing the MCs.
I only wish that we could get a bit more explanation or information about the paranormal world, the creatures, and how it works. Otherwise I have nothing to complain about.
It was a great, quick, light read. I enjoyed every part of it. Definitely recommend it!

First of all I would like to thank the author for kindly sending me an ARC and trusting me with her book. This was the first ARC I’ve received directly from an author and not through a platform, which made it so special to me. I’ve only recently started posting and still have a small following, so I’m incredibly grateful that she gave me the opportunity to read and review her book. And I’m SO glad I requested it because this was an easy five star read, and I predicted it from the very start.
I loved everything about this book, literally everything. It has the perfect balance of humor, emotion, romance, a tiny bit of angst without ever becoming overwhelmingly heavy, even while dealing with some delicate themes such as grief and death. I also loved every single character, which is so rare for me. Maybe my favourite was Viv though. One of the things I appreciated the most was the way the story unfolded because it doesn’t follow the usual structure (for example there’s no third act breakup, one of the reasons I run to request this book because I’m so annoyed and tired of that trope.) I’m also so happy I read it at this time of year because it feels like such a perfect late-summer/early-September read, but at the same time I think it’s also perfect for spring (because of the butterflies and plants.)

Cozy sapphic insta love with the resident ghost. 3.5 stars
This book had a lot of things I usually look for in a book. Between ghosts, witches and queer rep it checked the boxes I needed to pick it up (download it) to read. Unfortunately, I found it falling flat for me in many ways. It seemed like she was only starting this butterfly house for her family’s sake and there was no initial desire to do it for herself. I also don’t think that the family conflict translated well on page. From what we read of the communication with her family, they just don’t ask enough follow up questions but I never actually got the sense that they didn’t care about how it was coming along or about her in general. There was nothing that showed they just wanted something from her other than for her to come home for dinner because they missed her. Of course I understand from a personal perspective that sometimes those things are just the final straw on top of every other thing you’ve experienced but I feel like if there was such little time discussing her family, it should have brought up bigger points of conflict.
But ultimately, if you’re looking for a story where the main characters fall in love fast and would do anything to see the other succeed, then you will enjoy this.
I found the real plot didn’t start picking up until about 50% in and the rest was the ground work of the story

Never Been Ghosted is book three in the interconnected “Chaotic Paranormals” series and can be read as a standalone. I read this book first, not realizing it is part of a series, and wish I had read them in order. Although we don’t start seeing characters from the previous books until about halfway through, so the interconnection doesn’t seem as relevant.
Gwen has recently purchased a home with a large greenhouse that she plans to turn into a butterfly garden attraction. The home was previously owned by a family whose members all tragically died in a car accident. All the family members except daughter Viviana seem to have “moved on,” while Vivi’s ghost has remained tethered to the greenhouse for the past five years. Gwen never realized she had the ability to see ghosts until she meets Vivi. The two decide to work on the greenhouse together to bring the butterfly garden to life, spending all their days together. Eventually they begin to develop feelings for each other. When Vivi begins to find herself fading from existence the two seek help from a psychic witch.
This is such a cute and cozy paranormal romance. I appreciated the sapphic love story and no third act breakup. I do wish I had read the books in order or that more emphasis on the world building and paranormal creatures was explained in this book. This book is perfect for fans of cozy paranormal romances.

This is the third book in this series of interconnected standalones and I had the best time reading this even without reading the first two! To sum this book up, Gwen buys a house with a greenhouse so she can turn it into a butterfly house and discovers a ghost, Viviana, is anchored to the greenhouse and can't leave! This is a sapphic paranormal romance, with a Latina FMC and forced proximity 🌸
This had the exact vibes I was looking for; that soft love that is rarely found outside sapphic romance (mixed with some spice of course!), a magical greenhouse setting, and a touch of witchy magic to bring it all to life 🩷 I loved everything about this! The instalove was instaloving, but it really worked well to aid the cosy vibes as the characters spent every day together and they learned about each other. And because they had to spend so much time together, the insta love didn't feel forced or unnatural and instead felt like a genuine relationship growing.

I really, really loved this book. It was so calm, chill, and deeply loving that I honestly just didn't want it to end, I was intentionally taking my sweet time because I was not ready to reach the last page!
Gwen was so relatable with her habit of talking to herself, and the way she tried translating romantic nicknames literally into Spanish had me laughing out loud. It made absolutely zero sense in Spanish, which made it even more hilarious! And Viviana was everything, I am totally obsessed with this Colombian ghost. She was sooo sweet, and my heart was just breaking for her and the loss of her family.
The plot kept me completely hooked, too. That first scene with the witch left both Gwen and me with so many unanswered questions at first, but I loved how beautifully everything came together in the end. The absolute GASP I let out when it finally clicked that the characters from Books 1 and 2 were all together was such an iconic full circle moment! Plus, CHAPTER 23 literally left me speechless with my mouth hanging wide open. To top it off, both of the rituals were so sweet, calm, emotional, and stunning. They were truly everything.

Corina manages to put so much life and joy into everything she writes. I fell in love with Vivi and Gwen instantly and found myself rooting for them through every part of their journey. The greenhouse was beautifully described and you can feel all the research and passion that went into making this story just right.
So many cute moments (button quails!!), emotional ones (getting to see these two find healing through each other, I MEAN-), and spicy vibes, too (that bench has seen some ACTION!). The pair go from strangers, to friends to far, far more, and their growing relationship was so beautiful to read. Unfortunately being a ghost does have its downsides, and they find themselves facing emotional challenges that they need to try to overcome if they want any hope of a happily ever after.
Thankfully chaotic paranormals have this fantastic habit of finding each other, and while this book could be read as a standalone, I strongly suggest reading them in order to fully appreciate this series. This story really pulled at my heart, and I was so invested in their story. I cannot recommend this series enough.

This story not only focuses on the physical attraction between these women, but the emotional connection and their sheer consideration for each other at every turn. While they have very human flaws and arguments, they show a maturity few of us possess when it comes to talking things out and being forgiving.
The imagery is beautiful. You start off in an overgrown and untidy greenhouse, where most of the story is set, and as the plot progresses the greenhouse is being tidied and organised and you get the chance the picture the scenes better and brighter in your mind’s eye. The book is paced extremely well.
I really enjoyed how well written this book is. No words were wasted here. Meaning is conveyed beautifully, with emotions and scenarios described so intricately you are completely immersed in the story. Gwen is a people pleaser, so when her family suggests she buy an abandoned house she does, hoping to convert the old greenhouse into a butterfly house. What she doesn’t anticipate is the ghost of one of the former tenants of the house, who is stuck in the greenhouse they spent much time in when they were alive. Vivi doesn’t remember the majority of the past 5 years in the greenhouse but the pink haired, bubbly new tenant is encroaching on her sanctuary, not only that but they can see and talk to each other. As the two grow closer and their work on the butterfly house is almost complete Vivi is starting to disappear, and Gwen can’t let that happen. With help from the supernatural community and new found family can they bring Vivi back or is their love doomed from the start?

This was a fun read because it was fast paced in my opinion. I needed something to keep me focused on the story so I appreciated that in this case. I really enjoyed the romance in this one, probably my favourite part. It was pretty effortless and very cute. I enjoyed the lack of a third act breakup here. (enjoyed the spice too)
I loved the Spanish in the book and feel like it was pretty well executed. It felt natural woven into some parts of the text. I just wish there was a bit more behind Vivi’s cultural background shown on page. It was the only thing missing for me and it felt like a huge part of why she relies on communicating bilingually.
I liked Gwen too though I didn’t quite see why she had such issues with her family. I think as a reader I just didn’t see them interact enough to truly understand her point of view. It’s not a huge issue for me just something I started noticing at the very end.
The only thing that I was a bit let down by was the resolution to the main problem in the plot. Though on the other hand maybe that’s part of the reason why I would call this book an “easygoing” one despite some stakes involved.

“Never Been Ghosted” has the most stunning cover with an even more beautiful story inside. Corina Bair does a flawless job of expressing the trauma and hurt Gwen and Vivi have endured while making you root for their love and happiness every step of the way. The romance is heartfelt and the spice is eloquently spicy. I loved everything about this book: the magic, the sapphic romance, the idea of starting fresh, and the gorgeous floral greenhouse turned butterfly house setting. There is something so enchanting about the entire atmosphere of this story.

It was beautiful, emotional, magical, and exactly the kind of romance I wanted. I couldn’t get enough and now want to go back and read the previous books!

This is a new author to me. And I absolutely freaking loved this book. I will be going back to read the previous books in the series asap.
I think this was the perfect mix of cozy, spooky, mysterious, sweet and just a bit spicy. This is perfect for anyone who loves a dash of paranormal with their rom com.
Gwen was sweet and endearing. Easy to connect with as a character. She was a bit chaotic but in the best ways. And her heart was always in the right place.
Vivi was understandably stand offish at first. I mean, she's literally a ghost. And it is definitely surprising when someone can finally see and hear you. Her past is heartbreaking but her future makes it all worth it.
The pacing was enjoyable. The progression of the main characters relationship made sense and gave you enough tension before the spice that it was the perfect blend. The side characters were fun and have made me want to read the two previous books for sure.
You should absolutely add this to your fall TBR!

I was expecting the ‘ghost’ part to be the whole book plot. And was really nicely surprised with the side plots that brought a lot of depth the the characters’ journey.
I really enjoyed the love story between the two main characters, it felt realistic even with the added magical element. Their story was so heartwarming, I would love to get more of their future journey explored, perhaps into a novella.

What a sweet, magical sapphic love story. I really enjoyed reading a character that shared the roots of my sisters that are Colombian. Vivi is the cutest, most selfless person and Gwen just compliments that side of her. I liked how Gwen wanted to learn more about her so she took the time to research her culture and learn Spanish so she can communicate with her in that way and even call her some cute nicknames in Spanish. I also like that it had a part where Gwen said some words of endearment that she would say in English but when translated in Spanish, it just sounded silly which made me chuckle. The whole concept of the greenhouse and special interest in butterflies was so adorable and I loved how that carried on throughout the book. It allowed Gwen to be more vocal on what she wants and how she wanted to be supported by her family. At the end, my heart was swooning and I was so in love with the characters and the story surrounding it.

This was an interesting and fun story to get lost in for a while. Although this is the third book in the Chaotic Paranormals series, it’s easily read as a standalone, and I enjoyed getting to know some of the secondary characters. I haven’t read very many paranormal romances, but this one was sweet and low angst and was a pleasure to read. Both Gwen and Vivi are strong, competent women who are used to being alone, until they find each other and love in the midst of turning a greenhouse into a butterfly house. The storyline is easy to follow, the lush greenery of the greenhouse easy to envision, and the rush to solve Gwen and Vivi’s predicament is palpable. Bonus for featuring a Latina MC! There was a surprising amount of spice for a ghost story 😂 but it worked really well for this story. Now I need to visit a butterfly house just to prolong the magic of this book!

I definitely think this one had a lot of pieces that I loved. I loved the button quails and picturing the greenhouse and definitely getting some crossover from previous books. However, I think I just connected the most with the first book. I also really want more Reverie! I love her little character!
I think I wished I got more information on the family conflict portion because I guess I struggled a bit to see where Gwen was coming from when she said she didn’t feel like they cared. From the snippet I saw I just wasn’t sure if I saw it the same way so I think more time with the family or discussing the family would have showed that conflict better.
Overall I loved the mixed in Spanish throughout and their relationship!

Anytime I pick up a romance where one of the main characters is technically…not alive, I always wonder how in the world a relationship is actually going to work. But I had a lot of fun with Gwen and Vivi and their magical little world, and the overall premise was cute. I actually didn’t realize this was part of a series when I started it, but some of my fave scenes were the ones involving the side characters, and I would absolutely go back and check out their stories. That said, I was able to jump into this one without having read the previous books. Do I still have a few unanswered questions? Sure. Did things move a little fast at times? Yeah. But honestly, I had enough fun that I was willing to just roll with it. I think the story overall had a fun paranormal vibe while still keeping the romance sweet.

I don’t typically read much paranormal type of stories, but this was done so well!! There were several different types of characters in that realm, that each played their part to make this world seamless. I enjoyed how Corina made me believe in soulmates and how well Vivi and Gwen suit each other. Gwen with her unwillingness to let go of what she wants after it took her so long to acknowledge and pursue her own dreams was perfection. Viviana’s journey of uneasiness and anger to hope and love is a joy to be a part of! I loved the cultural aspect with the familial pieces and language learning. I felt like the writer did her due diligence in research and making the reader able to understand the nuances that come with engaging in a paranormal universe. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and am excited to explore more of Corina’s catalog of works!
