The gospel singing group Living Praise has had a relatively successful career. They have sung a few gospel songs that have become standards. They had a song even hit the pop charts ten years ago. Today though, they are in a lull and are looking for the key to reviving their career.
BUT Minister Tommy Settles, one of the anchors of the group, is falling apart. He can no longer reach the notes on even their signature song that he used to hit and his voice cracks every time he sings. And on top of it all, he is becoming harder to work with.
Can Tommy and Living Praise get back to their glory days? Will They work through the issues that have stood in their way? Can God work a revival in and through this group?

"I Call Your Name" by Sherman Cox
My Rationalization:
I enjoyed this Christian fiction "I Call Your Name." This gospel group 'Living Praise' went through a lot and seeing how everything came out was really a good read. Just seeing how Minister Tommy Settles was finally able to surrender and submit to God's plan things started to turn around for him. It was wonderful seeing as Tommy became 'a blessing in the lives of others.' I liked many of the authentic characters that were in this story and in the end seeing how the whole group was really friends with even former members of this gospel group Living Praise was really quite an interesting good read.
This story is about the Gospel group, "Living Praise", and how God can work a revival in a group that is falling apart. I found this book standard Christian fair. Although I enjoyed the story, I felt a sort of disconnection from the characters. This story is great to pass the time and learn how God can revive our lives.
I love this story; The transformation of Tommy Settles was amazing and his surrender to live in God's plan will have you asking yourself if you are will to submit to live God's plan for your life. If I had one complaint it would be that I wanted to see more romance between Tommy and Linda.
