Nitya Chaitanya Yati (2 November 1924 – 14 May 1999) was an Indian philosopher, psychologist, author and poet, best known for his commentaries on Advaita Vedanta as well as his literary criticisms. He was a disciple of Nataraja Guru, the successor to Narayana Guru. Yati published over 140 books in English and Malayalam including a commentary on Darsana Mala of Narayana Guru, titled, Psychology of Darsana Mala. Kerala Sahitya Akademi honoured him with their annual award for literary criticism in 1977.

ഗുരു നിത്യചൈതന്യയതി റൂമി പറഞ്ഞ കഥകളുടെ രണ്ടുഭാഗം എഴുതി പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയശേഷം മൂന്നാം ഭാഗം അഷിതയോട് എഴുതാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. അങ്ങനെ ഗുരുകൃപയാൽ എഴുതിയതാണ് ഈ ഭാഗം എന്ന് അഷിത ആമുഖത്തിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. ഇതെഴുതുമ്പോൾ കിട്ടിയ ഊർജ്ജവും അനുഭവപ്പെട്ട ശാന്തതയെക്കുറിച്ചും അഷിത വാചാലയാകുന്നുമുണ്ട്.

റൂമിയെ വായിക്കാനുള്ള പക്വത ആയിട്ടില്ല എന്ന് തന്നെയാണ് ഇപ്പോഴും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നത് എന്നിരുന്നാലും റൂമി പറഞ്ഞ കഥകൾ അഷിതയുടെ ഭാഷയിൽ നമ്മോട് പങ്കു വെക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിനു സൗന്ദര്യം വർദ്ധിക്കുന്നു. ഒരു പരിധിവരെ അവർ നമുക്ക് സൗഹൃദപൂർവ്വം കഥകൾ മനസ്സിലാക്കിത്തരുന്നു. റൂമിയുടെ ചിന്തകൾ തന്നെയാണ് കഥകളിലൂടെ നമ്മളോട് സംവദിക്കുന്നത്.

"അറിവിന് മാത്രം രണ്ട് ചിറക് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നു അഭിപ്രായത്തിന് കേവലം ഒന്നും. ഈ വ്യത്യാസം നല്ലതുപോലെ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു കൊൾക"
എന്ന് റൂമി പറയുമ്പോൾ അത് അനാവശ്യ സംവാദങ്ങളുടെ ഇന്നത്തെ കാലത്ത് വളരെ അർത്ഥവത്തായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു.
