The Christmas spirit and me? We’re not friends. Ebenezer Scrooge had the right idea: bah fucking humbug.

I am a huge fan of the Tangled series. The reason for this is that Drew Evans is one of the funniest book boys out there. It’s the perfect kind of humor. Not over the top, just straight laugh out loud funny. Drew is pretty great in all aspects of life, but when it comes to Christmas, he’s a bit of a grinch. And he’s in the doghouse with his wife when he announces he’s working Christmas Eve instead of doing the family thing with Kate and their son, James.
“You’re an asshole!”
“A fact you were well aware of before you married me.” I shrug. “No take-backs.”

Christmas Eve doesn’t go quite as planned for Drew. He dozes off at his desk and gets visited by three Christmas spirits. Past, present and future. He has a choice to make… will he continue his Christmas eve plans of working to secure an important deal? Or will his family come fist?

This was a quick read (an hour or less) and fun to read for the Holidays. I always look for a few good Christmas reads in December, and what better than Drew Evans? Emma Chase excels at writing the male POV. I highly recommend for all fans of this series! 4.5 stars!

I rarely give short novellas 5 stars. But this one well deserves it. Perfect holiday read. It was good to be back in Drew's head. Not without reason he is still one of my favorites Book Boyfriend. Loved it!

Well, the title pretty much sums everything up..."A Christmas Carol" featuring our favorite former player, Drew Evans, who just needs a little nudge!

It was great catching up with Drew and Kate again...it had been too long. I actually loved all the sweet and romantic scenes the best, naturally. But as with all relationships, there's a bit of a hiccup and they are not seeing eye-to-eye. Luckily, Drew has some visitors that remind him of what is.

Drew catches on quickly and handles things like the man he is!

There's another excerpt that's been included called Indecent Proposal. It was sent out to people who had preordered Tied. If you missed it, it's another sweet and sexy moment between our two love birds!

One of the things I love about Christmas (well, besides everything that is a part of Christmas), is the little novellas that authors love to release on this time of the year.
Drew and Kate are one of my favorite couples of all time and their books some of my favorite. Not to mention Emma Chase is a genius writing male POV and Drew is the “living” prove of it.
As ever, it was impossible not to fall in love with the sometimes self-absorbed asshole that Drew can be, but as we all know he also has a giant heart, and once again we saw both side on this short story.
It was amazing to see more of him and Kate, especially now as a couple in a solid marriage and this story definitely made my day.

It's a Christmas miracle that I actually finished a book. OK, a novella. This was short but cute, and included an extra proposal scene that I never read as an added bonus!

Drew Evans never fails to make me laugh, I can't help but love this guy.

I love when an author gives you more of characters who embed in your heart. Emma Chase gave her readers a wonderful tidbit with this story. A perfect little Christmas gift to her readers.......It's a Wonderful Life starting Drew Evan!!!

It's sweet and perfect, it evokes all the best Christmas memories of that movie except it takes the twist of seeing thru Drew's eyes. The best guy's POV ever written, in my opinion of course!!

So I will say Thank you Emma. Thanks for making me smile, laugh, swoon and feel the spirit of the season with this wonderful Christmas story!!

Hands down Emma Chase is the Queen of writing in a guy's POV. And Drew Evans is the best guy POV written by a woman that I've read.

"Flu" Drew is baaaaaaaaaaaaack in full Drew fashion. He's as sexily arrogant as ever and everything we loved about him before is still there.

This is a cute Christmas story about how Drew needs a bit of a pinch every now and then to make him sit up and take notice of what's happening and to just ensure he's on the right path.

Once again Emma Chase (in 53 pages no less!) delivers a story about our beloved Drew and Kate that had me alternating between laughing and making me feel the feels.

I Loved it!!!

And as a bonus Emma Chase has also included the scene "Indecent Proposal" that takes place between the 2nd and 4th book. Enjoy! I know I really did. And even though I know it's greedy...I want more!

Welcome back, Drew! I’ve missed your sweet, arrogant ass.

Eight years into their relationship, and things between Drew and Kate are stronger and hotter than ever. Drew being Drew though, he manages to get himself in the doghouse—and this time on Christmas Eve.
“You’re an asshole!”

“A fact you were well aware of before you married me.” I shrug. “No take-backs.”
Once again, Emma Chase nails it by delivering Drew’s hilarious and distinctly male perspective on Christmas. This novella has all the humor and spice you’ve come to expect from the Tangled books. It’s a super fast read that’s sure to bring a smile to your face and get you into the holiday spirit.

I had no doubt that Drew Evans would entertain me. I had no doubt that Emma Chase would make me laugh. But could they help me out of my holiday slump?

Thankfully, both the author and her wonderfully foul-mouthed & dirty-minded character were able to pull off a giant Christmas miracle.
This story, with all its humour and perfectly placed sweet sentiment, brought true holiday joy to my life. I really do feel much more Christmassy than I did before reading this little gem.

Loved it!

This was such a great Christmas story, especially in Drew Evans style. Sometimes priorities get a little jumbled and Drew was no exception. So to fix this Drew was visited by three ghosts, Christmas past, present and future or I should say, Mackenzie, Alexandra and Dee. If you love Drew and all of his antics then you won't want to miss out on this read.

5 Stars Reviewed from the "Baby it's Cold Outside" Anthology

Emma Chase does it again with yet another fantastically funny tale in the Tangled Series starring one of my favorite characters... Drew Evans.

I will never get enough of Drew’s sarcasm, quick wit and devilishly sexy ways. I love being inside his head and seeing the world from his point of view. This time, poor Drew is having a nightmarish Christmas Eve. From being stuck on line last minute Christmas shopping for Kate’s gift, to focusing on business rather than family during the holiday, Drew has lost sight of what truly is important in life. As usual, trouble surrounds him at every turn. But tonight’s Christmas Eve, and Drew has help getting his act together as he is led on an amusing journey reminiscent of the stories “Scrooged” and “It’s a Wonderful life”.

The story fast-forwards five years into their marriage and son James is older and more adorable. Drew is as cynical and sexy as ever. What I love most about Drew is how he manages to overcome great obstacles to right his wrongs. Yes, he messes up BIG TIME, almost ruining Christmas for his family. But when paid visits by three ‘ghosts’, Drew manages to get his shit together, learns his lesson and saves the holiday.

“My arms wrap around her, holding her against me, her head resting against my chest. And in the light of the Christmas tree, we sway in time to the music.

Was it all just a dream?

Honestly? I don’t fucking know. But I’m grateful it happened. Because even someone as brilliant as me needs a refresher once in a while about what’s really important. The moments that matter. And the people we can’t and don’t want to imagine living without. As I dance with the love of my life on Christmas Eve, I swear I hear the soft ring of a bell. And if you believe what that legend says, then somewhere, an angel has gotten her wings.”

Through Emma Chase’s talents, these age-old stories were twisted, refreshed and retold in a way that was funny as well as heart-warming. I love her brilliant writing style that combines romance, comedy and love. “It's a Wonderful Tangled Christmas Carol” is a great little novella, perfect for the holiday season.

A modern version of Christmas Carol :)

Lovely story...

Drew...

"Life is a memory. Sure, we enjoy the moments as they come, but for many, time goes by too fast to truly appreciate those moments as they happen. It’s only later, when we remember them, that they become precious to us. A life well lived is one where the good memories outweigh the bad."

"Never pass up the opportunity to make a beautiful memory, Drew.”

*Sob*

I'm a sucker for holiday romances and Emma Chase delivers the goods here. A holiday short story featuring Drew Evans and his trademark sarcasm and humor? What's not to love? A play on the classic A Christmas Carol, this short story shows us what Drew's life would be like without his beloved Kate. And you can almost smell the evergreen in this funny, sexy and oh-so-sweet holiday tale. As an added bonus, there's a deleted scene between Drew and Kate and a sneak peek from Appealed , coming in January 2016.

So grab your favorite drink, put on some holiday music and enjoy this sweet, sexy story!

The truth is, soul mates are real: halves of the same coin. They can live without each-other, go on to have successful, content existences. But they'll never be as perfectly happy as they would've been and could be, if they find their other half.

Although it was an emotional and funny (always funny) read, I dare say that I would never want a bf (or husband) like Drew Evans. I liked his character in the beginning, but after that he lost his glow. When I first read Tangled, he impressed me. I'm not finding him that charming anymore, guess I grew up. :D

His constant mémoires of how many women he has screwed before Kate, get always on my nerves. His comparisons and constant narcissism fail to amuse me now.

I hope he will always remember the lessons he learned in this book.

I feel like at this point there is nothing more to be said about a story that involved Drew Evans. I mean, HELLO IT'S DREW EVANS, the story is going to be hilarious, sexy and sweet. In true Emma Chase fashion, she brings to life the male POV, as it pertains to the Christmas spirit this time, like no other author out there. You will swoon, you might even cry (I did, don't judge me) and you will absolutely laugh your ass off. Is it possible for us to get a new short story for every holiday for...well forever?

Awe, I've missed Drew!

This modern-day version of 'It's A Wonderful Life' and 'Christmas Carol' was funny and heart-warming at the same time, of course, I expected nothing less from Drew and Ms. Chase. I loved the cameo appearances that help bring meaning to this story.

UPDATE NOV 21TH 2015

 photo tangled novella_zpswzxvovpl.jpg

BOOK REVIEW: 5 STARS
Emma Chase always creates the most perfect male fictional ever - Why are they fictional? I need a Drew, or a Stanton, or a Jake, or a Brent in my life - Going back to the original men she wrote, Drew, made me so happy.

This novella tells the “dreams” Drew had during one christmas eve. He decided that his work was more important than spending this special holiday with his family, and when he was ready to prepare for his conference, he started having visions of the past - Can I say child Drew was the cutest? -, the present and the future, one horrific alternative future. All these dreams showed Drew what was really important: his family.
I’m grateful it happened. Because even someone as brilliant as me needs a refresher once in awhile about what’s really important. The moments that matter. And the people we can’t and don’t want to imagine living without.

I loved this funny-sexy modern version of Scrooge, a very sexy Scrooge hahaha and just like the old man, Drew learned, in time, what was really important. I loved his three green eyed ghosts: Mackenzie, Alexandra and Delores. And of course, Kate and James were perfect as always.

Read this awesome Tangled novella, it’s 100% recommended. And if you already did, because it’s part of the anthology Baby It’s Cold Outside , repeat it. You will get a bonus with it: Indecent Proposal . Read how and when Drew proposed to Kate.

BOOK REVIEW

Having the chance to read more about Drew is the best thing in the world – or like the best christmas present I could have asked for (Thank you Emma!!!) I think I will forever worship Emma Chase for writing the best book boyfriend ever! With every book or excerpt or anything I read about Drew and Kate, I fall more and more in love with him, their relationship and everything related to them. I simply can’t get enough of Drew Evans!

This is a christmas story, of course, and it has everything that I’ve come to love about Emma’s books: it’s funny, sexy, and it gives the urge to kick Drew in the balls. Yes, I wanted to kick him so hard that I had to write it in the review, but he is a wise man and he prevented a christmas disaster. I won’t say much about the story because it would be a huge spoiler – you will just have to find out for yourselves.

Drew and Kate are great for each other. Little James isn’t so little now and their family is as beautiful as always. They know how to balance their family time, their parental duties and of course, their sex life. Which is, as always, super hot and sexy.

I know I asked Emma for more and now I have more, but I want more and more and more because like I said, I can’t get enough of Drew Evans.

Audiobook review to come. Bring it baby. More Sebastian York means heaven for me! <3

Audiobook review: 5++ stars

Like i said in my book review, this novella was like a christmas present for me, i can’t thank Emma enough for Drew Evans. And this audiobook narrated by Sebastian York is perfect. Sebastian’s voice is so Drew, it has the perfect, smooth, soft, sexy, male tone that I imagine Drew Evans has. I have a friend who I discuss every detail about Sebastian’s narrations with, and we agree in this: SEBASTIAN IS PERFECT FOR DREW. I love to listen to him when Drew is being all playful with Kate (Love the “Bells Jingle” laughter), when he’s thinking about how perfect Kate is for him, when he’s thinking about his son James, and I even love when he’s being a bastard, yes, because he’s my favorite bastard of all time (Sorry Bennett Ryan, Drew is now my bastard #1).

Ah, Drew. You are an ass. But I love you!

Drew Evans. He's come a long way from that "flu" episode. One thing's the same, though: he's still a self-centered, arrogant, lovable asshole. It was such a nice treat to see that even eight years into his relationship with Kate, he still managed to get himself deep into trouble. Wow, eight years... Wow... Now, Drew, trouble, go!

Drew, ever the ambitious businessman and very close to getting a new important client made a bad call as a husband, father, and family man in general: he went to work on Christmas Eve. Kate was obviously furious and disappointed, but Drew, living in his Drew bubble didn't understand what the big deal was. He wasn't exactly in the holiday spirit. He thought Ebenezer Scrooge had the right idea. And after that night, he'd have a lot more in common with Scrooge.

To show him the error of his ways, Drew was visited by three spirits, each one bringing him closer to learning a lesson he'd never forget. The spirit of Christmas past took him to his childhood when he was only five and, if you'll believe Drew, "fucking adorable", and made a special Christmas wish. The spirit of Christmas present showed him what his five-year-old son was wishing for. The third spirit was not there to show him the future, but to make him appreciate his present by showing him an alternative one.

Of course, in the end, Drew came through, as he always does, and everything was right once again.

It's a Wonderful Tangled Christmas Carol is a great holiday story for the fans of the Tangled series. I am a fan, myself, so I am rather surprised I haven't enjoyed it more. Don't get me wrong, I did like it, but not as much as I thought I would. It could be because I was feeling tired while I read it, but I suspect it's mostly due to the fact I'm enjoying this new series by Emma Chase, The Legal Briefs, and that Sustained has become my favorite book by Ms. Chase, and Jake my favorite hero she's written about. Yes, reading this novella confirmed Drew was dethroned by Jake in my eyes.

I think I would have liked this more had I read it last year when it first came out. Alas, it was part of an anthology, and I decided to wait and see if it would be published separately. Luckily, it was. Unluckily, I had to wait a whole year.

Oh, there is a bonus story in this edition. Ever wonder how Drew proposed to Kate? Well, the answer can be found in Indecent Proposal .

Overall, it was a fun, sweet Drew Christmas story. Whoever liked reading about Drew Evans from his POV will not want to miss it.
