Big fan of this series! I enjoy mysteries, but most tend to get too repetitive when done in a series, but not these books. Each one offers a unique, well developed and truly intriguing setting that draws you into the story as the mystery unfolds. Plus, the fantasy world and supernatural elements sprinkled in make it so original for a mystery/thriller, I get sucked in every time. These books are a perfect blend of mystery, fantasy and thriller. Also, unlike most mystery books where the characters are very basic and add little to the story other than the mystery itself, the main character in this series is very well-developed and I found I was reading to find out how his story played out as much as I was to find out the how the mystery was solved. Overall, a fantastic read!

This series is so fun to read. Each book has such a unique and different mystery, keeping me on my toes the whole time. Of course it's also great to see the overall character arch throughout the series. I highly recommend getting the full set and give them all a read, cause you're in for a treat.

Fascinating mystery that will keep you guessing throughout the story. The culture clash between the knights/townspeople and witches is well done and really elevates the book above what you would expect from a mystery. an imaginative series with immense world building and characters!
