Meanwhile, Samuel Bodner, the only other person to survive the freezing hell at the Moose Creek Mine, relentlessly stalks the Moose Creek Cannibal. The pursuit has so dominated Miles’s every waking moment that he sometimes wonders if Bodner’s gruesome allegations might actually be true. As he comes to care deeply for Iona and Arch, Miles must decide if he is willing to sacrifice his freedom in order to save his friends from the evil visited on them.

Never have I been more annoyed by a book character before Arch.

Real good story about a man who had been running for yrs.after being accused of a heinous crime that happened in the gold fields,where many men died.
He finally found a little settlement & he thought he could finally stop running,but encountered a woman & her small son,who were worse off than he was.
They became friends of sorts & he strived to make things right for them,encouraging the town to listen to the real story of things that happened,that they had no control over.
A fast read & one that will surely hold your interest,as it did mine.
