Rate this book
Someone turned gravity into a weapon.

In Cascade City, dangerous anomalies are supposed to remain beyond the Perimeter. Millions of Towerborn—the residents of the protected zone—trust the city’s defenses to shield them from the deadly forces outside.

Then one day, a wealthy Towerborn man is found crushed by a gravitational force that should never have reached him inside the protected zone.

Detective Vic Harris is assigned to the case. What first appears to be an accident soon reveals signs of deliberate disabled security cameras, a brief artificial anomaly, and no physical evidence left behind.

Then another victim appears.

Someone has learned to control the forces the city was built to survive.

As Vic follows the evidence, the investigation draws him into a conspiracy involving forbidden technology, political power, and people with far more to protect than their reputations. In a city divided by wealth and access to safety, discovering how the victims died is only the beginning. He must find out who can wield this weapon—and what they intend to do with it.

Every new death is a demonstration of power. Every attack challenges the system that keeps Cascade City alive.

Vic must stop the killer before the next demonstration threatens the entire city.

Because the greatest threat is no longer hiding beyond the Perimeter.

It is already inside.

The Gravity Killer is a sci-fi mystery that brings the methodical pursuit of a police procedural together with the escalating danger of a dystopian thriller. Rain-soaked streets, forbidden technology, and a deeply divided society give this crime thriller its dark, atmospheric setting.

A semi-dystopian thriller with a sharp focus.

It's always raining and gravity can't be completely relied upon. Now someone is exploiting these circumstances to kill. Can detective Harris follow the clues to catch a killer? The author's interesting staccato writing style makes this an easy and enjoyable read. There's some romance to boot and a twist that will prep you for the sequel. Well done!

The book is full of one-single-word paragraphs. Some may think it's dark and quite descriptive, I find it as a lack of narrative. It way work if used sparsely, but this book uses it more than I'd like to read.

Not sure about the plot. As long as it didn't engaged me, I didn't get immersed enough on the book to allow the plot to captivate me.

It may be appealing fot other, but not for me. Sorry
