Bellarose Fontaine has always been on the outside. People think she’s too different or silly because she likes to have a little whimsy in her life. So what if she wears cat ears to the company retreat? She works for a freaking online pet shop. When she has one bad moment after another and accidentally finds herself in a tree, she’s rescued by a gorgeous man with the kindest eyes she’s ever seen. It’s not until things heat up that she discovers he’s the owner of the company she works for.
West Hayes is looking for a moment to himself, one where he can reflect on the direction his life is going. He might be the leader of the company and on a work retreat, but out here in the woods, he’s searching for answers. Finding a woman stuck in a tree wasn’t part of the weekend’s activities, but after one look into her eyes, falling in love is all he wants to do.

La protagonista me cayó malísimo, aquí se tiene un fetiche raro con los gatos, no tengo dudas, una mujer adulta comportándose como una adolescente y hablando de diarrea y cosas así, la verdad bien meh
This was a super cute read. Bellarose was adorable, almost too adorable. I guess I could liken it to a Madonna/Whore situation.
I liked how West was contimplating his life before he met Bellarose rather than have a major transformation because of her.
The novella was quite low spice and very slow paced for such a short read.
While I don't normally like OW drama I had no issues with Sheryl but I think that's because there was equal OM drama. All the drama, OW or OM, was all one sided with both the FMC and MMC being clueless to the others interested. I LOVED West constantly getting Sheryl's name wrong.
I liked this one and how Bellarose didn’t really care about her quirks and did what she wanted. I also liked West, besides when he was all “I can’t be seen with you”
