This is the fifth book in a science fiction romance series.
I wish I could make this part more interesting for you. I would love to say that I am a highly decorated author with loads of accolades to my name. I wish it were so...but unfortunately, it is not true...Yet. I am holding out hope that this will change soon.
In reality, I am just a regular person. I have been working at one job or another since I was sixteen. I am not ashamed to say that is thirty years of 9 to 5 and sometimes 6 to 6. Whatever it took to get the job done. Then about a year ago, I was teaching technology at the grade school level when my teenage daughter self-published a book. I was fascinated with the process. Empowered by seeing her dream come true, I decided to give it a try. I am a huge fan of Romance novels and had even tried writing in the past but had no idea where to go with my ideas. With my daughter's encouragement, I finally got my first book ready and self-published.
Did the whole process change me? Not really. I still get up and put my pants on one leg at a time. I still work hard and take what life hands me. The only difference now is that I have a deeper appreciation for all the hard work self-publishing takes. Being in front of the computer, writing my stories, is still my escape. I hope in some small way, that my stories are entertaining and an escape for the reader as well.

Marcael, book five in the Terraneu series gave me a new favorite: Marcael.
Marcael has lived for thousands of years with one thing in mind, to kill the mad king, the fifth brother of the Royal family, help the Princess and avenge his king. His story was so sweet and sad but showed me a compassionate and loving man behind the armor. In book three he has helped the Terraneu people and has paid for his actions. He was killed and cloned again and kept aware of his failure by Knuan the mad king. On one of his scouting trips to Terraneu, Marcael has found Brennae. For months he stayed hidden and admired Brennae.
Brennae, was the first girl born on Terraneu and had two overprotecting brothers and being the daughter of Kniam and Amber a whole army of uncles watching over her. She grew up wanting to find the one mate that would fulfill her heart's desires. When Marcael revealed himself she knew she found him and a whole set of adventures started.
When Brennae was kidnapped on her uncle's ship I thought a fight was about to unfold. I was hoping for that. I was disappointed to see that Marcael didn't have to do anything heroic to save Brennae but some pissed off AI with newly found consciousness solved everybody's problem. I so wished to see some fight, some skills, some conflict after so many years of preparations and waiting.
In a truly Stormy McKnight style the story slowed down again and focused on Marcael and Brennae love story to have them apart for 6 months. But I enjoyed the love story and the chemistry between Marcael and Brennae. My favorite couple from the series. The end came fast though and during the Epilogue I really thought that this is the end of the series which was sad.
I am happy to say, the story will continue with the new generation on Terraneu and their efforts to help the damaged Earth and the survivors. I am excited to read more because Stormy McKnight took all the ancient aliens and Earth mysteries and put them in an incredible and believable story. Her stories, books are so different from all the books on the market that I am a Fan!
I thought this was the best book of the series so far. It had more 'action' and less boring minutiae in the settlement. Still, the conversations seem stilted. The books still need editing/proof-reading, but they improve each time.
There is a lot more to the plot than what is in the summary. It was entertaining but so much happens that if feels like more of a glossing over of events. All of the previous characters get to say their piece which was overwhelming as a reader but showed how much the heroine was cared about.
The romance is super adorable(for insta-love) with a HEA.
Books in the series are getting better and better. I love the characters in this one. There's a lot of interesting points in the plot . I would recommend this as a good read.
I am glad they didn't have to fight their crazy brother. I wonder what happened to the ship with the pleasure bots. So glad how it all ended and wow two set of twins.
