Flesh: Part Ten

Rate this book
He's a monster. A beautiful, horrible monster.
Things heat up at the furniture store when Lucian decides to take what he wants from Amy. With her job at stake, there's no more dangerous place to get intimate though.

It seems like Amy's relationship with Lucian is driving a spike in all of her friendships. Tensions are high with Janice, and Derrick still refuses to forgive her. To make matters worse, Lucian appears to be reverting back to his old ways.

Will Amy ever see a happy ending, or is Lucian just stringing her along until his interior design project is over?

Only seven more to go 2.5 to 3 stars

This is the first book in which I've really not liked Lucian.
Amy has obviously returned the backbone she borrowed and she's back to her old 'he loves me, he loves me not'
Derrick is sulking, Janice was Janice and Amy is going to make a terrible mistake.
The length of these books is really getting to me it's crazy it's the last time I read a series like this.

The beginning scene was interesting. Amy is starting to grow a backbone, but Lucian is falling into old ways. I think we're only waiting for more secrets to be revealed.

Yay narrated in duet, narrators were good.

I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

There is only so much string that a series about a woman who believes 'her heart is between her legs'(she is constantly telling her best friend how hot Lucian is in bed in every chapter) can pull before it hangs itself out to dry & this particular one is reaching the edges of spectacular boredom.

There is little to zero growth in regards to the plot line, the characters remain strangely static while spinning on a revolving merry-go round of sexual misery.

This one woman narrative has reached it's peak in chapter 10 & it can only go downhill from this point. If Lucian speaks it may break the monotony of Amy's voice otherwise just read chapter 10 only because you will have missed nothing in the chapters that have proceeded it.

WHAT A WICKED WEB HE WEAVES !!!
Wowza! Flesh is a riveting new series by Sky Corgan and it is smokin hot! I love it! In Book One, Corgan expertly sets the stage for her story with an introduction to Flesh, an amazing experience for those who would like to safely test the waters in the world of BDSM with as much or as little as their heart desires. And oh my good glory, is it ever sexy! In Book Two, Corgan now delves into the development and personality of the characters. In Book Three, Corgan begins to build the heat to a slow sensual burn! In Book Four, Corgan begins to kick up the heat! In Book Five, as the heat blazes and attraction builds for our two main characters, we see more of their individual personalities, their fears and desires. In Book Six, Corgan begins to reveal the true nature of Dr Lucian Reddick and the darkness of the beast that lies within him. In Book Seven a surprising and totally unexpected connection is revealed that further complicates an already complex personal/work relationship between Lucian, Derrick and Amy. In Book Eight, Corgan finally reveals the dark secret and heart breaking guilt Lucian holds within his heart and soul. In Book Nine, we finally get to see a softer and more loving side of the sexy Dr. Rediick. Hmmm.... he did actually have one - but will it last??? Now in Book Ten, Lucian reverts to his wicked ways and Amy falls even deeper into the dark recesses of Lucian's seemingly immoral soul. No, no no! No spoilers from me! But I will say this... this book is hot, sexy and compelling! Oh my! Somebody call 911! Sky Corgan is a woman on fire and this story just gets better and better! I am now officially hooked - hook, line and sinker! The story is exciting, thrilling, enticing, riveting, erotic, sensual and steamy. And did I say hot? Yeah, I did but I'll say again... it's HOT! The dialogue is smart, seductive, arousing, very well written and flows effortlessly. The characters are fascinating, captivating, engaging, intriguing and sexy as sin. Corgan uses her amazing talent, incredible skill and unique style to expertly combine these elements into a wonderfully entertaining and superbly satisfying read. Amy Underwood is in a rut. Her life is boring and she hasn't had sex in seven years. She loves her job as an interior designer and decorator at Environ Design and Derrick, her gay, work boyfriend is great but none of that satisfies her sexual needs. God, so pathetic! Her roommate Janice finally convinces her to sign up for a session at Flesh but good lord, she's never even had sex unless she was in a relationship. How in the world is she supposed to be naked in front of some stranger much less participate in some kinky BDSM scene. Oh well, maybe she could just dip a toe to see if the water is warm. Just one time, that's all. Maybe then her roommate will stop bugging her about it. Yep, she'll try it once and never go back. Or will she? But her mysterious, sexy one night only Dom, only known as "Sir", just may have something else in mind. Oh my! Was their chance client meeting strictly a coincidence or was it "strictly" set up by none other than Mr Mystery Man himself, wealthy, well known plastic surgeon, Dr Lucian Reddick? Hmmm.......I wonder??? It seems the dominant Dr Reddick has plans for the lovely shy Amy Underwood. And what are those plans? Well, I don't like to give spoilers but I will say that we see much more of what he has planned for the lovely innocent Amy in this installment but I suspect the best is yet to come! And his plans include a lot more than working with her to redecorate his home. He definitely wants to sample her beauty and see how the creamy flesh of Amy's body looks draped across his bed! A perfect accent to the room decor - especially if she's tied up and waiting for him! It seems the irresistible Lucian Reddick is very involved in the BDSM lifestyle and wants Amy to be involved as well. He invites her to Fleshfest to try to initiate her into his world. Amy doesn't like what she finds at Fleshfest especially when she discovers another woman in Lucian's lap! What? But the innocent naive Amy struggles with the morality of the BDSM lifestyle and unlike her roommate, is not eager to become a willing participant. She would never become a submissive and participate in a staged scene in front of other people! Never say never! But just what will Amy do to keep her job! Or is her job just an excuse to continue to see the handsome Lucian? Me thinks Amy doth protest too much! Amy has already dipped a toe to test the water but she better know how to swim because she's definitely in deep water and apparently she can't decide if she wants to sink, or swim with Sir. But Amy has no idea that within the handsome Lucian Reddick lies a blackened tortured soul with dark desires - for her! Will those desires cost her everything - her job, her friendships, her sanity, her very soul? Which path will she choose? Or possibly, who will she choose? Will Amy succumb to her insecurities and return to Flesh? Will Amy risk her job and her future and finally end her unconventional, emotionally draining relationship with Lucien? Does Lucien love Amy, care about her at all??? Is this all just a game to Lucien? Is Amy nothing more than a passing fancy, a temporary distraction, a little fun??? Hmmm.......Yowza! And that little rascal Derrick, he is just a stinker but a lovable stinker and what will he do now? What about Amy's roommate, Janice? Does she harbor secret jealousies, hidden motives? Is Janice friend, foe or unsuspected woe? Hmm.... I wonder??? I guess we'll find out more in Book Eleven! I can hardly wait! Oh, Oh, Oh! It's just so exciting! I was turning the pages so fast, my IPad couldn't keep up! I can't get enough of this series! Yikes.....be forewarned, this is not a stand alone story but rather a serial with multiple installments and cliffhangers but if you have Kindle Unlimited as do I, it's all gold! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

I received this book for an honest review.
Lucian won't take no for an answer he wants what he wants when he wants it no matter where they are....but what about Amy's wants and needs? What is this between them? He told her she couldn't see her coworker anymore but is he exclusive to her? Unable to get her answers the old fashioned way, you know just asking, Amy wonders if Janice's hair-brained scheme to return to Flesh is her only option.
Ok so I liked the renewed tension in this episode as it was more intense and less whiny weak female it was nice to feel a charge back between the characters. However Lucian is starting to come across for me as more big bully then sexy alpha. I normally like the alpha bad boys but at this point even I'm ready to cut Lucian loose...Amy needs a nice guy with a controlling in the bedroom side imo. I will keep reading thought as I need to know if Amy find her HEA!!! This is not a standalone an must be read in order.

Will Amy ever see a happy ending, or is Lucian just stringing her along until his interior design project is over? This is the tenth installment of the Flesh Series and the questions just keep piling up as the story unfolds. Too many questions... but no answers. Although I love read Sky Corgan's books, I'm wishing that this series would come to an end soon. I'm starting to dislike the main female character, Amy in this series. She is constantly go back and forward about being with the main male character, Lucian. She needs to decide if it's worth all the drama of being with this man and that she can't change someone just because she doesn't like the life style he lives. Either accept him as he is or move on.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Part 10 in the Flesh series. Wow just when I think Amy has redeemed herself in growing back bone she falls right back in the same patterns. Oh just let the man walk all over me. Come on seriously Amy grow a pair. Lucian is going to take advantage of you every time He is pretty much a dog. He admits it. If you are looking for a sweet romantic relationship Lucian is not the man for you. Now if you are looking for the tie you up and whip you Dom, now he fits that criteria.

This series is well written but it is starting to get monotonous. One step forward and two steps back.

As usual, Sky Corgan leaves us hanging...Argh! I'm having a love/hate relationship right now. I need the next installment right now!

Lucian performs his magic on Amy and she's helpless to resist his charms even if it could potentially make het lose her job. Lucian throws his money around to appease the situation and rides off without any thought for Amy. She's devastated! But, what do you expect from an unavailable emotional man? Amy needs to take a good look in the mirror and really ask herself if he's worth all this heartache. She takes matters into her hands and makes another appointment at Flesh to flush out Lucian. Will she like what she finds? More to follow... Can't wait!

This relationship is up and down like a yo-yo. Just when I think Lucian and Amy have smoothed things out, he screws thing up. I do not know where this relationship is headed, but the house renovation is almost over. Could be that their relationship will be as well. The ending leaves me eagerly awaiting the next part.

I wanted to love this but after Lucien persistently ignoring her every time she says no to him, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to root for him. I love an alpha male as much as the next person, but what he's doing at this point is more like sexual harassment, bordering on rape at times and I can't fall for a romantic hero like that. I'm kinda Team Derrick at this point.

as much as i love this book. Lucian really needs to figure out what he wants. one minute hes all about Amy. the next hes distant. i understand hes had a hard past and maybe he doesn't want a repeat of it. or maybe something is preventing him from fulling committing to her. i guess we shall see what happens

I'm so p***ed off on Amy's behalf!!! The good Dr is gone back to being a complete jerk, derricks is still licking wounds, and Janice is so focused on finding her own Dom she is no help......wondering what's going to happen when Amy goes back to flesh
