ARC!
⚔️ Book Review ⚔️

The second book in this series picks up exactly where book one left off—and somehow it’s even better!

Rosalie is now aboard the Deceit with Captain Reis and his crew, and she’s finally starting to feel like she belongs.

From there, the adventure takes off. We get epic battles, action, treachery, lies, and long-buried secrets coming to light. The romance between Rosalie and Reis continues to blossom, although it’s definitely not all plain sailing… (see what I did there? 😆)

The world expands beautifully as we explore new places and meet several intriguing new characters. The world-building just keeps getting richer with every chapter.

One of my favourite parts was watching Rosalie grow. She finally begins to let go of the self-doubt that’s been holding her back and truly steps into her strength. She becomes the warrior she was always meant to be. 💪🏻

This second instalment absolutely delivers. At one point, I was convinced almost everyone was a treacherous dawg! 😂 But nothing prepared me for that ending… what an absolute humdinger! Be prepared to pick your jaw up off the floor.

Cruel, Jillian… 😂 Or should I say brilliantly done? 🙌🏻

Now comes the hardest part… patiently waiting for book three.

Get typing, Jillian! 😘

I was given this book for free in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I appreciate that we open with a quick flashback to when a Durane loved a Weller because this series really lies within how love shapes our lives whether it’s romantic, familial or friendship:
"They were standing together, looking down the barrell of the gun."

"Rosalie nodded before taking one more look behind her to see the
orange glow the wrecked ship cast across the dusky bay"

Rosalie and Silence's friendship suffers the brunt of war and it becomes harder for Rosalie to trust anyone when the have a betrayer in their midst. What starts as a tale of love quickly turns into a fear for what the future holds and how to shape it. With Rosalie's responsibilities catching up to her she must resume her duties as Lady Yorke and enact a plan to save the people of her lands.

I know a traitor when I see one so I wasn't surprised as to who it turned out to be as there were warning signs, but I was overjoyed about the solution to this.

Chapter 50 was the best! Finally, Lady Yorke is stepping into who she is meant to be- a leader! Okay, I take that back, chapter 51 unveiled an unbelievable revelation that I genuinely hadn't considered. Eagan is a lover of a plot twist because I'm genuinely shocked...I'm going to take a moment to reflect on what I've just read.

Moment over, and just like that so is the book. What happens next? There better be another book because there's no way you are leaving me on a cliffhanger!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Let the storm come, she was ready.”
That line gave me chills, and it perfectly captures the spirit of this book.

First, a huge thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review. As always, these thoughts are entirely my own.

The Silence of Vengeance was everything I hoped for after book one and somehow managed to match all of my expectations. I couldn’t put it down. Every chapter had me wondering what was going to happen next, and every time I thought I had things figured out, the story took another turn that kept me completely invested.

One of my favorite parts was the incredible character development. Watching the characters grow through everything they faced made the journey even more rewarding, and I loved seeing their strength, determination, and resilience shine through.

The pacing kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. There was never a dull moment, and the tension had me flying through the pages because I needed to know what happened next.

Now excuse me while I impatiently wait for book three, because I absolutely need to know where this story goes from here!

First off - thanks for the ARC of this book

I read the first book in preparation for this and boy am I glad I did. This is a deeper book - the character flaws becoming more pronounced, and reality clawing at them changing their relationships. It’s so good.

The war is far from over - the Duranes are still out there - and Silence is learning what it takes to be a Lady.

A lot of this book is navigating the PTSD of the characters from the fall out of the last book, and it is so well written. It’s evenly paced, but a little slower, as you would expect as they work out what comes next.

We explore beyond the borders of Seity and meet characters mentioned in the last book.

But, this book does end with a cliffhanger, unlike the first book - so now I’m desperate for the sequel!

Oh my gosh!! The ending? Are you kidding me?! Youre just gonna leave it like that?!

Ok book two jumps straight in to where book one finished. And the most amazing story continues.

We are introduced to more world discoveries, more action and some great new faces!

Book one was my first ever pirate themed book, and this book has definitely sealed the deal for me. I need all the pirates!

The characters are unique in their own ways, the plot is continuous and there are a few twists i absolutely did not see coming!

An absolutely amazing read!

Beware the cliffy at the end though!

Seriously, where is the next book?!!
