I highly recommend you go to this author's website and download this one for free. The author does a brilliant job of taking Nix and Kadence's meeting and relationship and doing a do over by giving us a glimpse of the possible "what if" things had happened just a little differently. The story centers on Nix and Kadence but the beginning of their story is totally different and even though Nix remains a good guy, some of the other characters we loved weren't so nice. This was a very interesting read to me and I highly encourage those of you who follow this author to read this one. Truthfully I prefer the story line in Incandescent but I really enjoyed this paradoxical view of the same story.

Let's just say that I didn't like it and I'm SO fucking happy that this was just an 'what if'.
I'm still glad I read it though, because this just makes the original story that much more awesome. :D

5 #NixFix Stars for Paradox!
I was completely and utterly captivated by Nix Knight when I first met him in Incandescent...he was everything I could ever want in an mc bbf so I was very nervous going into this story, I didn't want to hate him!
What If...what if Nix hadn't made the choices he did for the Knights Rebels? What if...he had gone down a different path? What if...?
Paradox takes everything you read about in Incadescent and turns your world upside down. Even though I knew it was "what if" and it wouldn't change the real story, I was still anxious and on edge as I was reading...WTF have you done River?!?
What a difference a few words and descriptions can make in how you perceive someone...
Nix is still the dirty-talking biker I fell in love with, with just a harder and grittier edge. But I can't say the same for a few others in this story...I may have a hard time at looking at a couple of the Rebels the same way after this!

I didn't like it. I know it was a "what if?" but it was just messed up. Nix is still hot, but I so didn't like him bad and mean.

March 25, 2017Paradox is part of the Knights Rebels MC by River Savage. It's an interesting perspective focusing on Nix and Kadence from Incandescent, book one.
I'm choosing not to rate it because It's well written and shows Savage's creative mind - to which I applaud her. However, I hate the storyline. It's a what if - and I get it, but I'd rather not think about it.
I choose Incandescent every time. It's a quick read, so I don't want to discourage anyone from reading it, just understand it's an alternative viewpoint and don't take it too seriously. In the end, we get to the same place but by a much different path.

When I finished this story, I didn't know what to think of it, but I did know that I didn't like it! It is a very short "What If...?" scenario story that illustrates what would have happened if Nix hadn't taken over and cleaned up the club. It very much had a Sons of Anarchy vibe, from the stand point of The Mayans more so than Sam Cro. Most of the Knight's Rebels were A-holes, even Nix when he was trying to be protective. Kadence became a bit of a shrew, as did Holly. I wasn't that impressed with the characterization in this story, however, the ending did have a surprising twist before Nix "woke up"! All in all, I'm a bit sorry I read it, and while I likely will wind up re-reading the series from time to time, I have a feeling that I'll wind up skipping over this one in my re-reads!

FIVE 'WHAT IF...' STARS!!
What if… one key element of someone’s history was altered? What would the outcome of that alteration look like? How would it affect the choices, decisions and realities of that person’s life? What would the consequences of that change be? How far reaching would those consequences go? How instrumental is that one changed element in the grand scheme of what that person is and what they become? Finally, what affect would that change have on other people, willingly or unwittingly, in that person’s life?
River, in her uniquely talented way, examines just that in this book. I cannot and will not spoil any part of this story in this review. This book is something that must be experienced without any prior knowledge of the “what if” for the story to have the full effect on the reader.
Just know that this was a well-written, interesting River Savage story. She gives us what we have come to expect and appreciate in her writing – a strong alpha male and a sassy heroine. But she took something from the original story and flipped it giving her readers a unique and different take on a beloved, fan favorite relationship, and she did it well. But I’m not at all surprised by that because this is, after all, River Savage. I’ve always thought you’ve been an amazing talented and gifted writer, River, but now I know you’re also a brave and exceptionally creative one. #ProudRebel #NixFix

I was lucky to receive an ARC of 'Paradox' from River Savage for an honest review... I was excited & a bit anxious to start reading this.
Just finished reading 'Paradox' & I'm speechless at what River has written.... It's the Knights Rebels but with such a plot twist that it left me scared from the start. I'm a massive FAN of Nix & Kadence, so when River said she was doing this novella for Nix & Kadence, I was super excited. I loved that we got more N & K, it was darker, more dangerous, I got to the ending & I nearly had a panic attack... Thank goodness for the light at the end of the tunnel. River did such an amazing job changing her original story, twisting the details just enough to keep me devouring the novella to find out what happens next.

Wow this was a quick read that packed a huge punch
Gotta say I think this is the second novella I've read with these 2 characters and they both have been phenomenal..
This is an eye opening revelation to that pesky question "What If?"
I know I've wondered on so many occasions how my life would have been different IF I hadn't moved, if I had married someone else, what if I had left just a few minutes sooner..
This read took Nix on alternate road that just had me floored.
A must read for fans of Nix & Kadence..

What started out as a story with potential about a biker and a teacher became irksome towards the end. A M.C. Vice President with a conscience tries to hide the fact he is attracted to his son's teacher knowing a secret could ruin his chances for love. The characterization was good and the plot though short lived was promising but the conclusion was a cop out. Using a dream to excuse what was previously read was a poor decision and seemed an easy way to explain away the muddle that felt unfinished. I wasted my time.......

Where to start i love the first story but River has done such an amazing job with this, I love the whole idea that with just a few changes this can be so very different and with this one it really has. I still love Nix and Kadence there was still part's of them from the first story, And the ending holy shit i didn't see that coming. River i loved this and it was a pleasure to read.

I was afraid to read this story, I even went so far as to say I wan't going to read it, but River assured her fans that we would be okay. I mean I LOVED KADENCE and NIX just the way they were, why mess with a good thing? I won the ARC and its a good thing because it was AWESOME, I was sucked in from the beginning. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire ride.

Hmmm 3 stars is probably generous for this. I actually read the 4 books in this series well over a year ago and it was very hit and miss. I liked book 1 'Incandescent' and book 4 'Infatuation', enough to give them a 3 star rating, because they were enjoyable, even if they weren't great and had problems with the writing. But I found the stories in books 2 & 3 very boring.
This very short story is just alright. It's really just Nix, the MC president from book 1, having a nightmare about 'what if', what if he hadn't changed the club and made them legit, what if he and Kandence's relationship had been destroyed just as it got started as a result of him not sorting out the club etc.
I wouldn't be happy to pay for this, not even 0.99p because there's nothing really to this. I do wonder what the point of it is. That's the feeling I got while reading it, like umm kay.. why write this? So 3 stars is probably generous but it's on kindle unlimited so...

Holy mother of Batman!
This series was my very first Audio book download. Instantly fell in serious love with River Savage, and like a true junkie, I plowed through as many of them as I found. When I read Paradox, holy cheeseballs! I've never been a huge fan of these flip story books, but I am now a changed thinker. Heart racing excitement, soul shattering emotions,and a ton of twists I never expected.

When I started this book, I couldn't help but think what the hell? Then I couldn't put it down.
This is alternative story to Kadence and Nix, and it just gripped me once I got into it.

I didn't realize this was a "What If" book. I thought it was an add on to the first book about Kadence and Nix that I read previously. Found myself skipping a lot of the parts in the book and didn't really like the What If factor. Wouldn't be a re-read for me.
