I was going write review for each book , but I guess I too pissed cuz of stages I had to through to complete this series , kinda of turn me off towards writing a full review of 8 short stories…. But if you are looking for:
This series offers up Action, intrigue, a kidnapping, a forever love, some bloodshed, a heroic rescuing of damsels in distress, romance & more. What it doesn’t offer is whole book… 1-4 could’ve been Published as one full novel, but no the author decide to give us few pages at time…

I received a free audible copy of books 1-4 of this romance serial in exchange for my honest review.
This is my first A.C. James book and I very much enjoyed it. It was also the first book I've ever read that involved pucas (or a horse shifter of any sort). I really enjoyed all of the particularities surrounding pucas and puca mating. I particularly enjoyed that the mate must be able to ride the stallion to be eligible as a mate (a.k.a. able to bear puca offspring). That added caveat of determining a true mate was also very interesting. Felicity is a strong, independent woman who, while self-conscious and with somewhat low self-esteem, she is comfortable in her own skin (she just doesn't think it possible for any man to find her truly attractive being a BBW). Cyn is her best friend, a plus size model, and her companion on her assignment to investigate the puca hauntings in the Aran Islands for her blog, Everyday Supernatural. Cyn is just along for the ride for a birthday get-away. Niall is a puca male who has never wanted a mate and only agrees to take one to keep his twin sister, Mariosa, out of a promised mating to another puca male who is, quite frankly, a complete jerk. He is sent across the veil to investigate why it is open before Sowen (and to find a human mate) along with his friend Thomas. The instant Felicity and Niall spot each other, they are enchanted, particularly Niall's stallion. This book covers Felicity and Niall's adventure as she shelves her blog assignment to help him investigate why the veil has been opened when it shouldn't have been (along with their budding romance). This book is intriguing with a story line that will pull you in. While this book is a culmination of the various parts of the Ride series, it also puts me in a good position to highly recommend these parts be read all together. Each individual part will leave you with only part of the story and a huge cliffhanger. While this culmination of parts has a HEA ending for Felicity and Niall, there is still a cliffhanger and I am incredibly interested to know what happens next!

Felicity is still looking for answer on why the people on the small island. They believe the puca are sabotaging the construction site. Felicity finds there is more than she bargain for when she starts digging deeper in the past of the puca. Niall's is runing out of time and he needs to convince his mate that she is the only one for him. A problem arises and now he has to find a way to save the only people that matters most to him?

Getting to the truth
Niall and Felicity are starting to work together and her to start to trust him again. The attraction between the two is explosive. There is more going on then what meets the eye. Lots of stuff happening and discoveries are found out. And a kidnapping happens as well. Well written and very entertaining to read. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

If you haven't read the other books in this series, STOP, go back and read them. This book begins where the last one left off.
In the last book, they go to Niall's cottage where Niall introduces her to his twin sister Maelíosa through the portal mirror. Then she announces she needs to see his stallion.
As this book opens, Niall asks if she's sure she want to see his stallion. They also need to go investigate where the man says he was charged by the púca.
After an eventful ride to the construction site, they discover that the man was indeed lying about how he was injured. Niall walks her back to the Pier House after agreeing to meet the next day. Felicity enjoys a relaxing bath before somewhat updating her boss. Cyn joins her and regales her with her evening out with Tomas. Apparently, they did a photo shoot that Cyn very much enjoyed doing.
Back at his cottage, Niall once again calls his sister. Maelíosa is thrilled he's found Felicity and wants to meet her face to face. While she wants to come to Niall, he emphasizes that it's too dangerous for that right now with the veil the way it is.
The next day after updating her blog, Felicity continues her investigation by revisiting Father Cleary. She wants more history on the legend and more information on who sold property for the resort. He also directs her to the bartender at Tí Joe Watty’s. That's convenient since she was meeting Niall there.
From there both the investigation and their relationship heat up further.
I am reading the final book of Felicity and Niall, I have to know where this leads.

Ride: Out Cold by A.C James is book three in the Puca Mates Series. Oh my after reading the other books in this series of course I had to read this installment. I’m really enjoying everything about this world. I’m flying through these books because I need to know what happens next. Gosh, I’m loving Niall and Felicity all of their tension is just addictive. I’m also digging him trying to get her to accept that they’re mates. I’m such a fan of Niall! This is just full of mystery and suspense and I’m eating this storyline up. It just keeps getting better and better with every book. Just when I think I have an idea I’m surprised with something else. The writing is great and I’m really enjoying the plot and pace of the book. I need to know more so off to the next book I go. Definitely recommend checking out this series.

Ride is a BBW Paranormal series by A.C. James. This author does the series a little different than what I am used to. There are 12 of what they call episodes (novellas) and each set of 4 episodes is a season (separate story) that combines into the 1 series. I would suggest getting them in either one large bundle of 12 or by seasons because each episode ends in a cliffhanger. Now, with that info.out of the way here are my thoughts on the first season. The series is about Puca (horse) shapeshifters, something I have never heard of but was really pretty interesting. The author did a great job at giving the reader a whole new world to read about and I really liked this new world of shifters. There is action, suspense, twists and of course love, all the things a good book needs. All of the characters are written well and I am curious to see where she goes with this series.

It's like watching a novella a one hour show that you have to keep up with. What's going to happen to Felicity next time and is Niall going to rescue in time. Tune in next section to find out. I think it's just starting to get good.

2.5 stars...Well this is unfortunate, as everything was going so good. In this installment Felicity is trying to come to terms with Niall being a Puca and her mate, and we are given the reveal of who is really causing the incidents on the island and why. All of this is great for the plot, but unfortunately not executed well on the part of Felicity. This is painful to say as, up until this episode, I was incredibly pleased with not only the storyline, but the exceptional writing. Things immediately started going downhill with Felicity's wishy washy excuses as to why she couldn't trust Niall. The beginning dialogue and her inner issues were a complete turn off. All of a sudden she becomes a very whiney and annoying heroine. Her complaint that Niall should have told her he was shifter sooner is completely ridiculous. Not to mention that she continues to question whether he was the one who injured the worker even though she was with Niall during the entire time the so called incident happened. This nonsensical thought process continues throughout the story with increasingly more eye-rolling indecision until, by the end of this episode, I just wanted to slap her and say "Snap out of it!" One of my biggest pet peaves with writers is when they have the heroine make utterly stupid decisions that we all know (even the heroine knows) is going to bite her in the butt, just to further the plot. No one with a hint of common sense or self preservation would make the choices Felicity makes at the end of this episode. There were other much more believable ways the author could have chosen to get Felicity into the final situation. I was beyond annoyed that all of a sudden Felicity becomes a complete idiot at making a sensible decision. Not to mention that she openly goes against her gut AND everything she has learned as an investigative jounalist. I almost felt like this episode was written by a different author. I was frustrated from the beginning to the end.
On the positive side, I did not expect the twist in the plot. I thought that was an excellent turn of events. In this instance, the author most definitely did not take the easy way out. I also continue to love the understanding and sexy Niall. His character maintains all the characteristics that have made him outstanding thus far.
We did not see much of Cyn or Tomas in this episode, so hopefully there will be some elaboration of them in the next story. Overall, the plot continued at a nice pace, with a surprising twist. Except for the unfortunate personallity changes and decision making in Felicity the writing and editing is very good. On the opposite side of that, the majority of the writing in this episode was devoted to Felicity's veer off into idiocy. However, I still want to read the rest of this series. There is too much promise from the first two episodes to count it out yet. I only hope that in the next release the author will give Felicity her pills so that she can return to her original mental apptitude ;)

He was a horse. A seriously hot horse!
Are you sure you want to see my stallion? I am surprised he did not just say “Hey Pretty Lady, wanna see my stallion?” Definitely a unique pick-up line and it brings a whole new meaning to the expression ‘horsing around.' AC JAMES!?!? WTF ARE YOU DOING TO ME?!?! This third part is so…WOW! So AWESOME! So FANGASMIC!!! SO…BEYOND WORDS! Well, I could say but I do NOT want to ruin any little piece of it for you!!!! This is a tremendous story!!! Pucas are a shifter that I have never heard of until this serial, so right away that piqued my interest. Then I started reading and have been enthralled through every part, every page, every scene! I love how 'real' it is in that Felicity has her doubts, isn't sure if she should believe or how much to believe, what to do with everything she is finding out, or what to do with her feelings for Niall. The way that AC shares the history of the Island as well as the Pucas and the legends is done quite ingeniously! I also love AC's naughty brand of humor, as well as the naughty, or is that 'neighty', tones that she has brought to this story! The way that all of these qualities, and more, are woven together into a captivating storyline creates so many layers to the story, which only adds to the richness, the depth and the overall awesomeness of this tail! Of course, this story wouldn't be half as awesome as it is if it weren't for AC's phenomenal talent! I am blown away with each book of hers I read and I cannot wait to read them ALL!! Now, as I said, this is such a tremendous story, but the waiting in between releases will be the death of me! I'm not a patient reader at the best of times, so these serials are not usually my first choice to read...until they are all released that is! But the wait is almost over! The last part will be out soon! Then I will hole myself up to read all of the parts as one big AMAZING story! And then re-read it again & again!!!

hilarious you haven't read a shifter series like this one. A.C. you have done it again. What an awesome story. I am so loving this series. There are Hot and Steamy I mean scorching Hot. Ms James writing is creative imaginative and she knows how to make us laugh that's what I most love about this series the humor.
Felicity is a blog writer on a supernatural paper. She decided to bring her friend with making this a working but partying vacation. Felicity has been investigating the Puca she hopes she meets one not knowing that Niall is one and she make bet she get laid before her friend not knowing she is Naill mate.
Niall and Felicity are moving full steam ahead and finally he has revealed to Felicity that he is a Puca. Now Felicity understand the reason she feels so close to Niall.
Niall continues to investigate the rip in the veil and who is causing it and to find out who is responsible for the destruction on the new resort being built and the attack of a construction worker and who is going around town spreading rumors that there is a Puca haunting and who saying the Puca are responsible for it. Niall and Felicity are trying to discover who is behind all of the rumors and who will gain the most by spreading rumors. Unfortunately Niall twin sister wants to meet her twin mate and will try anything to meet her and she wants to help and fells no one takes her seriously about being able to help find the reason for the veil destruction. Maeliosa turns up missing and Niall has no ideal what he will do about his twin or his mate.

Ride: Out Cold is episode 3 of the Ride series. So far, Felicity, who is a journalist working for a supernatural blog, was sent to an island between Britain and Ireland to investigate a possible puca (horse shifter) sighting. There, she finds that there is a resort being constructed on the island, a construction worker who claims that he has been attacked by puca, and some superstitious islanders who are claiming that the puca are "haunting" the construction site for revenge. Meanwhile, Prince Niall of the puca has been sent by his father to investigate the thinning of the veil between their world and ours, and also to find himself a mate.
Felicity and Niall meet on their first night on the island, and Niall realizes that she is his true mate, and Felicity, while not realizing what he is, feels drawn to Niall. Niall has now revealed his true self to her twice now. Even though Felicity did not accept him for what and who he is the first time, she seems to be coming to terms with him the second time around.
Niall's father contacts him as they are having sex and tells niall that his sister, Maeliosa is missing. when Felicity goes back to the inn, she finds a note telling her to meet at one of the forts on the island if she wants proof of the puca. A.C. you have done it again. What an awesome story. I am so loving this series.
Felicity does a blog on the supernatural. Though before she started investigating the Puca she wasn’t certain how much she truly believed in the supernatural. Boy was she wrong.
Things are starting to really heat up between Niall and Felicity. He has revealed his secret to Felicity that he is a Puca. Wow talking about giving new meaning to horsing around…lol Question is will Felicity except him for what he is and keep his secret?
There is someone around town that is spreading rumors that there is a Puca haunting and that the Puca are responsible for the destruction on the new resort being built and the attack of a construction worker. Will Felicity and Niall be able to discover who is behind this rumors? Who will have the most to gain by these rumors?
Maeliosa (Niall twin sister) is wanting to help in the investigation and wanting to meet her brothers future mate. Though being told it is not safe she crosses the veil and goes missing. What has happen to Maeliosa? What happens if Niall looses both his mate and his sister?
There are some steamy parts and some funny parts. I love A.C.’s writing she truly has a creative imagination and a true sense of humor..LOL Thank you A.C. for such an awesome read.

Felicity is determined to find out if the story is true and Niall is determined that she knows him and his stallion want her for a mate a true mate but Felicity doesn't want to be hurt again so she is keeping her feelings to herself as much as she can but when she is riding Niall as the stallion he can feel what she is feeling even more that as a man but he wants to get answers as much as she does about the Puca legend being true and who is putting this information out to the public so that he can take her home with him. Niall and his sister Maeliosa discussed her not coming on this side of the veil because it could be dangerous for her but she doesn't listen and her father Fallon who calls through the communication portal and lets Niall know that she's gone and he and Tomas need to look for her and bring her right back home while they are out searching at the construction site they find blood and he knows the smell of his sister and he goes to tell his father while Tomas is still searching Niall comes back to find that Felicity has gone to meet Dillon the man that was hit over the head at the construction site even though he sees the note he is very upset that she would not listen to him again about safety first what Felicity finds scares her like never before. This romantic suspense is a very interesting read. Cliff hanger.

Felicity tells Niall that she needs to see him as a stallion again in order to completely believe what he has been telling her now that she knows that it was not a dream, that it really happened. Niall sifts into his puca stallion and they go to investigate the resort site where the construction worker claimed that he was attacked by a puca. They find nothing to substantiate his story and they go back to Niall's family cottage. Then Fallon; Niall's father; contacts Niall through the portal mirror and tells Niall that his sister has crossed the veil onto the island and is missing. Felicity goes to the pub and speaks to Caitlin the niece of the bartender, who is the keeper of the legend of the pucas and her family serves them. Caitlin is being groomed to take her aunt's place, but she does not want to do so. She is crazy and manages to get hold of Niall's sister and she and Dillon, the construction worker, send Felicity a false message luring her to the ring fort. When she gets there she sees Maeliosa, Niall's sister has been badly injured by Caitlin and Dillon, but when Felicity tries to help she is knocked out. Both Felicity and Maeliosa have acted foolishly and now they are in big trouble. Now wait for Part 4 to find out what happens next. I received this as an ARC copy for an honest review.

Felicity, her memories of Niall previously erased, again knows the truth about him – that he is a Puca horse shifter. Because he asks for her help in finding the reason for the veil to have opened prematurely, her insecurities again made her think that was why he chose her as a mate and not that he truly wanted her. But Niall does need to solve this mystery before a human inadvertently crosses the veil and is trapped in his realm forever. Time is running out.
One of the construction workers had come into the pub claiming a Puca attacked him. So Felicity and Niall went to the site at night to find the bloody rock the worker said he had fallen on. But there was no evidence at all of what he had claimed. Worse yet, Niall’s sister wanted to come look for evidence with them. And though she was forcefully told not to risk it, she came on her own and Niall found large quantities of her blood at the site. Felicity is also investigating on her own and moving into terrible danger. Things were looking very bad.
This wonderful story keeps things moving at a breakneck speed at times! It’s hard to guess what will happen next! I can’t wait for the next installment of this serial adventure! Excellent pace and well written! Highly recommended!

Kinda of stupid and stubborn h's who honestly do not have good sense...
I'm honestly tired of stupid and stubborn h's who don't have good sense good,common or otherwise.... Felicity is a stubborn jerk one minute and just plain stupid the next.... Sure,of course all that Niall has told her is a lot to take in but being angry he didn't tell her sooner ?!?!? What the heck ? Come on you can't just go around telling ppl your a shifter in a non shifter world, Hello!!! As someone who supposedly likes to investigate the supernatural etc. she's not the most open minded or even intelligent at times...
Running off alone to confront ppl she knows not to trust at night in a place that's not even safe to be in w/ or w/out these dangerous ppl ? Ok ,sure for 5 seconds she was smart and ran to Niall for help but if she were really smart she'd have waited... Gah..... I'm off to read book 4 but at the moment ,shortage of horse shifter books or not,I'm not planning to keep this series,as one continuous story it might have been frustrating but ok but all this chopping and changing isn't helping this story or its characters at All !!!

I was given this book in exchange for a honest review.
I have reviewed the other two books, and this being the third of four, I still feel this could have been done as one large novel, though I see the reason why she did them all as Novellas now that I am 75% done with the series. This series is quite good, and the drama that is added in this book just adds to the need to read more. The first book explains what is going on, the second book gets more in detail about the characters, and the third book helps explain how the characters work together. I cannot give much more than that without spoilers, but I do like the romance between Niall and Felicity. I like a book about bigger women getting some with hot, muscular men. I am hoping two people hook up that haven't even met, and I rarely get this excited over a book.

This novella is part 3 of a series and must be read in order. In this part we see the h, Felicity, deciding if she could trust the H, Niall, again after he lied, by omission, and she got angry and hurt. Niall showed her his stallion and she finally knew what he was saying was true, but could she trust him with her heart. Was she ready for another relationship after her last ended disastrously? Niall still needs to find out what caused the veil to open early, but he needs for her not to write her story b/c it would hurt his clan greatly. The further they both delved into the mystery of the veil, the more deception & outright lies seemed to find them. What could possibly be the reason that someone on the island would want to expose the legend of the Puca? Could Felicity trust that Niall truly loved a BBW like her? What happens when Niall's sister crosses over the veil to meet Felicity, but runs into danger instead? Find out the answers to these questions in this episode and you will not regret reading it. I loved it!

This is the 3rd novella in the Ride series by A.C. James. As the series unfolds, Niall and Felicity's relationship continues to grow. Niall asks her to go with him across the Veil and become his mate but Felicity is not ready. Felicity is introduced to Neill's sister, Maeliosa, through the communication "mirror" and she expresses a desire to help with the investigation into the thinning of the Veil. Even though Neill warns his sister that it is too dangerous to cross through the Veil, she does it anyway. The following day, Niell's intensely worried father notifies him that Maeliosa is missing and he and Tomas search the island for her. Felicity then receives an urgent message from Dillon and follows the directions to a remote location. The situation escalates for both Felicity and Maeliosa and this leads to the next installment in the series. Each novella draws the reader in with an intriguing, fast paced plot, and likable well-developed characters. I received an ARC for an honest review.

This is a super amazing story!. The story line is Thrilling!. And oh my the Characters will charm you!. Felicity is a spunky supernatural investigator. Felicity finds something she was not planning on finding "Love"!. Felicity can not believe she is falling in love with ab Puca. Only how can she help it as Niall maybe a shape shifting Stallion called a puca, but he is sweet and sexy as heck! Niall knows Felicity is fated to be his mate he just has to convince her to be his plus they both have to find out why the veil is thinning. Niall's sister wants to meet Felicity and help find answers so she sneaks through the veil. Only she is attacked and kidnapped. Now it is up to Felicity to rescue Niall's sister. Then Felicity is kidnapped right along with Niall's sister. Can Niall save his fated mate and his sister in time? Wow this is such an amazing and unique shifter Romance!. This is a cleverly written collection of paranormal stories, volumes 1 thru 4 of the Ride Series. These stories are about the life and love of the of the Puca Mates (shape shifters). Felicity Forrest and Niall O'Leary are the main characters in these stories and while neither one of them is looking for love, they end up finding it. These four stories introduce us to the characters, tell us how they met and why. Then we learn more about them. There is even a very suspenseful part (I won't say what).
The author did a good job writing these stories. I was very pleased to see 4 book turned into one audio book as I won't buy short audio books. The stories are very cleverly written. I LOVE how this author refers to his stallion (brilliant). Great plots too! The narrator, Erin Mallon, delivered a flawless read to us with many different voices and accents.

She is torn because she finds him so attractive and alluring, but she doesn’t believe he can really be attracted to her. As they spend more time together, Niall reveals his feelings are real and that he would like her to come back with him to his clan because he wants her for his mate. That really puts her in a tailspin. As they delve further into the mystery of the veil, they both start to realize secrets are being kept from them and Felicity senses they are being led astray, but they don’t know why. When Niall’s sister goes missing, time seems to be of great importance. They have to find her and bring her back to safety.
