Catalina's in a new city and has just landed a new job. Life is looking up until a sexy man strolls into the bar. Bray is a temptation, but she can't help feeling threatened by him. She attributes the weird vibes to her overreacting senses. But when the full moon rises, her body begins to change and Bray is the one to help her when the unthinkable happens.
Bray is drawn to Catalina from the moment he sees her. She's been bitten, and he suspects she has no idea what is happening to her. As a werewolf he can sense her coming change and makes a vow to help her. HIs priority has always been to his family, but they are pack wolves and on the run. He fears she is hiding a secret. One that could put him and his family in danger.
I am happily married to my husband of almost nine years and have two wonderful children.
I have always loved reading and writing and am thrilled to have published my first novel.
Paranormal romance is my go to genre and the genre I prefer to write in. I love the unique feel of creating an entirely different world and implementing it into the human verse.
Bitten is book 3 in the Wayward Wolves series. At this time, I haven't read the other two books, but I had no trouble reading this one.
Catalina is on the run and now some really strange things are happening to her. She is finally able to settle in, she has a job and an apartment. Well, she did have.
Bray and his family are on the run too. Just in a different way the Catalina. He knows what is going on with Catalina and can't in all good conscious leave her alone to go through it by herself, but he doesn't want to risk his family trying to help Catalina.
Trust is a hard one for Catalina and when Bray asks her to trust him she finds herself wanting to. Maybe there is a chance at a future not spent alone.
I really enjoyed this short story, however, I am going to read the first two books. That is just me though.
I was given an ARC by the author for an honest review.
A nice short story about Catalina a human that got bitten and now she is going through the change without knowing it. Bray i a wolf and stubbles onto Catalina just about the time she is about to change.
Will Catalina trust him? Can Bray help her out?
A short story that was really nice and kept my interest.
Bitten, Book 3 of the Wayward Wolves Series by Bethany Shaw Review by Georgianna Simpson
Bitten is a short story about a few werewolves that are packless runaways. This is the story of Bray and Catrina. The story begins with Catrina working in a bar in Florida. She on the run from police in Tennessee where her father and brother robbed a bank, she left when the planned a second robbery. While running from them she was bitten by a werewolf, Mark, who apparently wanted her for his pack for breeding. She ran from them, not knowing what Mark was only that a wolf had bitten her. In the bar, she was feeling the effects of becoming a werewolf when she met Bray. Bray is a born werewolf but he and some friends are running from their pack due to not wanting their females to be used only for breeding. Bray knows that Catrina is a fledgling werewolf and that she hasn’t made her first change. Oddly protective of her, he decides to watch over her and help her through her first transition. Immediate attraction and a growing desire to be together lead the two on an exciting and quick journey of escape and love. The writing is good, the adventure exciting. The story is a short one, but full of attraction, excitement and love.
"When bites lead to new start" This is an amazing book with fantastic characters and an awesome story line!. Catalina was bitten by a wolf. She went to the Er. got rabies shots then takes on the run. She is a spunky gal with a past she is trying to run from. Only now it looks like her past is catching up to her. When she stops at a quite town she gets a job at a bar that does not require a lot of paper work. After starting working there sounds and smells start affecting her oddly they tend to make her dizzy and nauseous. She is afraid she will loose her job. While working there a real Hottie shows up. Bray notices Catalina's bandage on her arm she tries to play it down only Bray figures out she was bitten by a wolf. He senses she does not know she is about to turn into a wolf. Bray decides to watch her and help when the full moon hits. Bray helps her get out of the Bar in time and helps her through the transformation. Then the cops comes looking for her and she needs help again so she calls Bray. Yes it looks like her past has come looking for her. This book is awesome with its suspense, action and red hot romance!. You will love it!. I can not wait for the next book!
What a wonderful short story. I love a good shifter story. I also love short stories. This is book 3 of the Wayward Wolves series, but it can be read as a standalone. The series is a group of wolves who find their mates, so each book is it's own story that ends without a cliffhanger.
The pacing of this story was wonderful. Nothing felt rushed to fit it into just a few chapters. Catalina is on the run when she gets bitten by a wolf. After a rabies shot she gets a job where she meets a temptingly sexy man who helps her through her change. The characters were completely flushed out and I didn't feel there was anything lacking.
I had hoped for a little more suspense or action from the story based off the synopsis. I can't complain though because I really enjoyed the story, it was a good bubble bath type of read. It was relaxing and sweet.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for a review.
Catalina is on the run from a past she couldn't control and mistakes trusting the REALLY wrong person. She's hiding out in FL working at a bar when she meets Bray, she feels a strange connection to him but refuses to trust easily. Bray feels the connection too when she hands him a drink but he too is wary as he needs to protect his family. However, Bray knows something Catalina does not, she was bitten and will shift with the next full moon. He feels strangely protective of her so he follows her and helps her through her first change. She is still wary but fear of her past catching up prompts her to take him into her confidence and they grow close, REALLY close (nudge, nudge). Even though they both are running at least now they can run together not alone. Great short story with awesome characters! I would highly recommend it, in fact I'm going to get the first book in the series to read!!
Catalina is struggling with life...trying to make enough money just to live. And to make matters worse, she's been bitten by a wolf. She goes to work thinking everything will be ok but then she starts to feel odd: sights, sounds, and smells really bother her and she doesn't know why.
Bray goes into the bar for a drink and the first thing he notices is the really hot bartender who happens to be a werewolf. Oh yeah, the bite Catalina received? Not from a regular wolf. And now Catalina is starting to change and has no idea what's going on. Bray, a born wolf shifter, decides to hang around and help her...if he can get her to trust him and stop thinking he's crazy.
I really enjoyed this book. While it was short, it was still well-written and kept me interested. I plan on reading more of Ms. Shaw's books.
*Author gifted me a copy of this book for an honest review*
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Bethany Shaw. This is part 3 of the Wayward Wolves series by the author.
Catalina could feel something strange going on with her but she didn't know what but she was more concerned about running from the police then anything. When Bray first seen Catalina he knew she was different then any other woman he had knew she was hiding something from him.
This was a very well written story and had a smooth flowing story line from start to finish. I love the character of Catalina and her interaction with Bray.
This is for any paranormal romance book lover. This is part 3 and the stories should be read in order because where 1 stops the next part starts.
I was gifted this book by the author for an honest review. Loved it!! Catalina, a human, is on the run from the police and moves to Florida for a fresh start. Bray and his werewolf family are also on the run, but not from the police. Cat finds work at the Gator Bar as a waitress Her arm is still healing from the wolf bite she got back home but still itches like crazy. One night while working, she serves a gorgeous man named Bray.He ,dangerous as well, but for some reason she feels safe with him. Bray, a natural born werewolf, notices that Catalina has been bitten. Does she know what is going to happen to her? Why does he care? and why does Catalina feel drawn to this stranger. What a awesome story!!! Loved it. If you want a quick hot, sexy and fun read ,this book is for you.
I liked the storyline and the characters are well-developed. Catalina is on the run from her past when she is bitten by a wolf. She has no idea just how much that bite is going to change her life. Fortunately, Drew is in the bar where she works and and is a shifter and notices the changes. He helps her through it all and offers her a new life. She has to decide if she is willing to take the risk to trust again. If she does, she just might get the family she always wanted. I think they are a really good couple and bring out the best in each other. I look forward to reading more about them as she Catalina adjusts to all the changes in her life. I received a copy from the author in return for a honest review.
Bitten by Bethany Shaw Things weren’t going to great for Catalina and when she is bitten by a wolf, she thinks things can't get much worse. On the run and working as a bar maid there isn’t a lot of money but with tips she just might survive. When Bray stops in he can smell her new wolf. He knows it won’t be long this new wolf will change and he knows no other wolves are around. That is when he decides to watch out for her. He has to make sure that the wolf shifters are kept secret. Trying to tell her wasn‘t easy and trying to work this out well that is going to make one heck of a shifter story. You have got to pick this one up and read it. Bethany Shaw has created a great new shifter’s story that will entertain you and leave you wanting more.
Bitten (Wayward Wolves, Vol 3 by Bethany Shaw Catalina was bitten by what she thought was a big wolf. While working at the bar her body began to hurt too much. Bray, a werewolf, was there and saw what was happening to Catalina. Against his best reason he helped her during her change because he had something to hide and was taking a risk. Bray and Catalina story was about trust, feeling wanted and safe. There was steamy sex, suspense and some action. Liked how the author dealt with their attraction and the development of their feelings in so a short tie. It’s a complete story without a cliffhanger so, don’t have to wait for a HEA so enjoyed it a lot. Received the ARC for an honest Review
What a great little book by Bethany Shaw. After Declan and Marcia's story, we get Bray and Catalina. Just adored how Bray felt the need to help and protect Catalina and how quickly and efficiently he stepped up to the mark. As he rightly tells her, they take care of their own and then some. Hot, loyal and totally committed to her. For anyone that thought Bray would exist in his brother's shadow... Well I bet you did not see that coming. Lovely characters and so much for the author to keep building on. I am very curious and excited to know what comes next. I was gifted this book in return for an honest review.
Catalina has gotten a new job, after she was bitten by a wild animal. Why she is working at her job at a bar she meets Bray. She does not understand the instead attraction she is feeling towards him. When Bray realize that Catalina is going through the change he know that he must get her away quickly. Catalina past life is coming back to bite her and see runs to the only person she can Bray. Will Bray help Catalina and take her in to meet his family? OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE BOOK This is an awesome story it has some quick hot, sexy and a funny read ,then book is for you * I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review *
This is the third book in the series Wayward Wolves and is a stand alone book. Full of unexpected twists and turns this short book kept my attention from the beginning. Catalina was unknowingly bitten by a werewolf while on the run, so its a good thing she runs into Bray just before the first full moon. Bray's over protective nature takes over while sitting at the bar and he realizes a new werewolf is working there. He can't leave her on her own to discover what she is. That's a danger to them all. Can the two overcome their trust issues enough to help her learn about the shifter world and yet keep her under the police radar. It's a perfect book for a rainy night.
Loved this book 3 of the Wayward Wolves, short, but sweet.
Catalina is on the run after being bitten by a rogue wolf, but the full moon is only days away and she has no idea why her body is acting the way it is and she trusts no one.
Bray goes in Gator bar to get a beer and has no idea what he is about to walk into. Will he be able to win Catalina's trust in time and will Catalina take a chance and trust again?
Loved it! Distrust, hope, longing, passion and trust all rolled up in one.
VERY ENJOYABLE READ!!!!! Catalina has been bitten by a wolf and has no idea what that means. She's on the run from the police and has taken a job at a bar. Bray walks in and realizes she a new werewolf that has no idea what is going to happen to her. He decides to help her and maybe keep her. You'll have to read this book to find out what happens. I love the short complete stories with no cliffhangers. I really enjoyed this read. I received this book as a gift for an honest review. Patsy Sacco
Received ARC for honest review. Catalina was on the run. Luckily she found a job at the bar with no paperwork needed. She had been biting by a wolf. Bray is at the bar and asks for his order and he senses that she is a bitten wolf. Bray follows her because he doesn't want anyone to get hurt and he doesn't want werewolves exposed. She has secrets and he has secrets. Can they come clean to each other and find happiness.
Fast enjoyable read. Loved Bray you can feel how protective and loyal he is. Catalina is on the run and living a miserable life, but that all changes with a wolf bite. Bray who is also on the run is drawn to Catalina even though he doesn't want to be. He knows Catalina is going to all the help she can to get through what's coming in her life. Can she handle the new her or will she spiral out of control.
I love this series of short stories. I really liked Bray and Catalina, and I liked that the characters from the previous books are also in this one. Bray discovers that Catalina has been bitten and he wants to be there for her but will she let him and will he be putting his family in danger? I was hook from the start and read this very fast. Can't wait for the next one in this series.
From the first book to the very last I've read from the amazing Bethany Shaw I was hooked on the stories she tells, the characters that so easily slip past my detection and make their way to my heart. So amazing that I got the chance to read her book again.
