Welcome back to Rescue for Hire, where heroes go after who they want and keep them.
Boone Ryder and Flynn Wakefield meet at a gay nightclub and hook up, only to reluctantly part ways the next morning. When Boone is hired by Rescue for Hire, he is totally pumped to see Flynn working on a remodelling project for the company’s owner.
One laid-back older cowboy, with the jealous hired hand, meets a younger electronics and bomb specialist, who is an adrenaline junkie. Age knows no boundaries with the red hot attraction between these two. Do we have a happily ever after? Not until we deal with one of our favorite team members getting devastating health news. Then there’s the mall shooting, horrible flooding, bombs about to go off, and Flynn being attacked by a bull. Two men discover a whole new world when Boone meets his cowboy.
Bellann Summer lives in the middle of nowhere with her husband and children surrounded by lakes and woods. In the summer Bellann enjoys fishing, camping, gardening and growing flowers. Autumn is spent out in the woods exploring the beautiful colors and nature at its finest. In the winter there is ice fishing, snowmobiling and sitting in front of the wood fireplace. She has always loved to read and any free time is spent with a book in her hand. When major life changes occurred, she decided to try writing what she liked to read. And it worked.
I'm really enjoying the 'Rescue for Hire' series even more than I expected, and I would like to say a big thank you to Bellann Summer. This series began with five members of a company who are true heroes and have melded all the new additions into one great big family. These men risk their lives to rescue people and sometimes each other. There is nothing more beautiful than selfless acts of courage and heroism.
I really enjoyed the circuitous manner in which Boone came to be a part of the team at Rescue for Hire. He has spent the last eight years doing things for his country that no one should ever have to do. He needs to find a job that matches his qualifications and his adrenaline junkie attitude. Rescue for Hire just recently had a mass shooting in a mall that also involved a bomb, and Cade realizes they need someone on the team who knows about explosives. When Tony becomes sick they also need help in the electronics arena. Cade, meet Boone. Boone, meet the best thing that's ever going to happen to you, Rescue for Hire. Oh, and Flynn too.
Boone and Flynn's story isn't the only thing going on here. Tony has a severe medical risk, the kind people die from every day, and he's terrified. Shane is his rock but Shane is equally frightened. These are the times when the very best parts of Rescue for Hire come to the fore. These people are more than coworkers, they're family and they instantly gather around and hold up the fort in times of need.
Boone, Treble, and Gabriel have a lot in common and that told me everything I needed to know about Rescue for Hire's newest recruit. Boone and Flynn's romance was way hot but also sweet and I loved watching them fall in love. I hurt for Tony and Shane but I knew everything would be all right. It had to be. There was some drama in this installment and I enjoyed every moment.
An emotional addition that has me eagerly anticipating more.

This is a confused book. We have two couples – one established, going through a dramatic health situation, and one brand spanking new – and the brief story of a guy off his meds (which of course means he has to go on a murderous rampage). Viewpoints aplenty. Then there’s this underdeveloped and pointless Jealous Guy, and an almost bar fight and a severe accident (of course!) and… All of this might fit together in a much longer type of story, but here it just serves to bewilder me.
I mean, why do we spend so much time in that killer’s head? The new romance itself takes ages to get anywhere and the people involved do not seem in any hurry to reconnect either. (Although when they do, it’s head-over-heels into forever, as expected.) And the health problems are utterly depressing, which has become a theme now in this series. Make room for new players by taking the old ones out of the field via injury or grievous illness. It really sucks. I may not continue reading this series simply because I don’t want to see previous happy endings turn into agony later on – all for some intense suffering that merely serves to take words and time away from the romance that should be the focus of the current volume.
I dunno about everyone else, but my happy, escapist fluff reads tend to not include trips through the minds of psycho killers, dealing with , and protagonists who seem quite content to not be together.
And are you kidding me? Flynn had an older brother named Flyntt? Compared to that, the younger brother named Flyer seems like a wise choice. Jeez.
I don’t know anymore. This book’s just massively unbalanced.
I have to admit, this was one of the better ones of the series. I was surprised, to be honest. Even if Boone and Flynn were kind of "off" for the first half of the book. It was kind of weird, but I'll take it.
Another enjoyable installment to the series. Loved the insight into to Shane and Tony's continuing storyline. Boone and Flynn's love story was not all that compelling as the primary romance this go round. However, the story as whole was a good one.
Approx 81 pages of story. Boone and Flynn's stroy. Flynn is a 40 year old cowboy and Boone is 27 years old just been hired by Rescue for hire. Insta love. Crazy Angle Ranch, Rescue for Hire, Granite County and Rescue for Hire West are all connected.
Book 8) In this opening we have a murderous, action packed evil rampage at a mall. In the aftermath, Tony gets up the courage to tell Shane he has a breast lump, and that cancer has run in his family. Shane will be by his partner every step of the way.
The most exciting writing method from this author is the deeply thought-filled, passionate men she tells us about. In this series we don't get all the answers, but a book or two later we will see the secret revealed. This method weaves these wonderful stories together and it's amazing to discover and fun to read. So, I feel it IS important to read them in order to get all that rich storytelling at its best.
Here we have Flynn, cowboy and carpenter working on Cade's house. Boone, electronics/computer expert, ex-Navy, gets a call from Tony to help out while Tony receives his treatment regime. Flynn and Boone had a one-niter and neither has forgotten the other. Flynn's ranch hand Tim is jealous of Boone, and Tim brings trouble.
The team is called to a flood rescue for Boone's first rescue adventure, and while searching homes, he finds a booby-trapped room. Coming home to Flynn felt so good until he couldn't find him.
Flynn turns out to be severely injured in the pasture and the team rescues him. Tim is trouble, Shane and Tony find out he's finally cancer free, and the team is doing well.
You can't go wrong with this action packed, series of tremendous men, caring, accepting, and loving to their partners and team mates.
Well within the first 50% of the book the main characters had only spent one night together which was at the very beginning of the book. So the rest of the time a few different things happened with the team but basically we got tiny glimpses of Boone and Flynn leading their lives but they didn't see eachother again until after the hallway point in the book which was odd to me. They go on one date then once again they don't see eachother for days and days. .. then after their 2 dates that occurred months apart... they decide to move in together. I liked the couple but the book kind of took a weird direction this time. Not "bad" just kind of weird. Not the best in the series by far. ..I was expecting better from this one. ..especially when the couple had such a significant age difference. Books with characters that have such a large age difference are becoming more and more rare so I'm bummed this one didn't turn out like I'd hoped.
wish this author would take writing classes or stop putting out books that are not cohesive to the vague plot....random hook-up instalove danger jealous twat( this was the most annoying heard of the book for me I think was the character Tim... when Boone gets trampled by the Bull and tim just wait 45 minutes so he can prove that he's good at rescuing) the whole series is like this plug hole goes off on tangents lots of instalove what BDSM rescue rescue danger danger sex sexsex 3 finger prep because of BDS.. big dick syndrome.
