got hooked because of the cliche romance of it all <3 i’m so happy i found the manhwa first and got impatient enough to read the novel lol
1. i love the passion for tennis the author expressed through hunter. i support all the love for sports.
2. i love the mother and daughter dynamics that jiyu and her mom had. their scenes made me cry as i reflected on my own relationship with my mom.
3. jt was sooo funny when the first introductions happened: hamilton and lafayette families lol i literally just bought tickets to see hamilton on theatre
4. even tho hunter’s and jiyu’s relationship started messy and volatile, i loved the tenderness and rawness of their interactions. i loved how hunter was great at everything except when it came to his emotions, and he worked hard to get it all under control. in someway, he’s a meathead who can’t converse well. thank god olivia is also a meathead who had to learn how to converse better. they’re freaking made for each other. hunter’s parents were right, if not olivia, who else can handle hunter? i also appreciate how hunter was also someone who olivia needed, her blue-eyed monster lol
5. the obsession hunter had for olivia was suffocating during the beginning tho. and olivia going with it pissed me off too. just ffffcking talk to each other. but i guess we wont have much story material if they both resolved their relationship from the beginning.
6. i dont like how this book represents the ugly side of skinny korean culture tho. really? olivia is super skinny and pale af? and her bf is super buff athletic build man like hunter? i can’t stand size kinks like this. proportion differences can be realistic without having the fmc be half the size of the mmc.

I would’ve rated this 5 stars - until before they went to College.
Love: Zero is as cliche as it can get BUT one thing that separated it from the rest is it made me feel things. Granted, I’ve read the early parts (which is my favorite in the book) from a “poorly” translated site.
Reading about Jiyu and Hunter’s story from childhood to pre-college was such a treat. Hunter maybe a redflag in today’s standards but I, as a reader who grew up reading redflag leads is fine with it.
My favorite scene was the taking the pulse bit. Gosh the butterflies that I thought were long gone in my system were revolting. I am such a fan of this genre. Although, I wish that the author could’ve expounded more on this part of their lives. Like you build characters living in an elite world, why not showcase more?
This leads me to why I decided on a 4 star rating. Them in college felt so rush, storytelling felt like just a summary that I felt disconnected with our leads. I want to read more about them, and not just the highlights. Honestly, I think this would’ve make more impact as a new adult book than what it aimed to be or rather do a proper build up before going to the adult stuff.
Anyway, there were parts at the end that brought back the earlier feels I had, for that I was glad.
Still, this is a good read. I thought initially that the plot is silly but the author transported me to New York with our leads.
p.s. Really surprised with the Hamilton connection. I love Hamilton!

I can tell the author looooved the characters in this book. The characters have so much depth in them and the author conveyed them properly and I wish! I wish I wish I read an official english translation of it. I haven't read a lot of korean webnovels yet but I'm glad this one has made me want to delve into more of it!!! Really enjoyed this one.

Like the other reviewers I got impatient waiting on the manhwa lol
The story, although cliche, is very cute! I was also impressed with the smut.

Nunca había leído una novela ligera y siento que empecé con muy buen pie. Preciosa historia. Creo que empezaré a leer más friends to lovers.
