worth the wait…

Master Loki is the fourth Masters of Midguard book and was definitely the one I’d been waiting for since Master Thor came out.

While the story was interesting and the two love interests worked well together I found there were a few points that the content repeated itself within the same or two adjacent paragraphs. This was a bit annoying and why I bought the review down to 4 stars.

I would recommend the book for a strong plot and kept me interested but I’ve reread the other three books a few times each and I’m not sure I’d do that with this one. A strong 4stars but no more

It's always such a treat when we get a book for a character we've seen in previous stories and have grown to love. Master Loki has always hidden something behind the facade he presents to the rest of the world. When he meets Polina that wall begins to crumble. They both have issues and try to tell themselves they are only together because of their needs, totally forgetting that those include finding that one person who is perfect for them. Of course nothing every runs smoothly and issues from the past rear and threaten, but these two are both strong enough to weather the storm and get their HEA.

It took me a while to fall into this story, but when I did everything else was pushed to the side. I had to know the ending. There are plenty of different elements in this well written story including some hot erotic sexy scenes and violence. All the characters are real and rounded. I wanted to hug strong and real Polina from page one, Jared took me a little while but in the end he came through. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am leaving an honest review. This is an entertaining and enjoyable story.

4.7. When two Midgard kink club stories didn’t wow me I gave up on the series. I’m SO glad I went back and gave Master Loki a try.

Master Loki is a playboy shibari master, sadist, and kink club owner. His work is shady but even he has misgivings when he is told to take advantage of a mobster’s daughter’s isolation and loneliness in order to gain entrance to her heavily fortified house.

Loki (the club alias of Interpol agent Jared Kane) expects her to be sheltered and mousy. He’s unprepared for a lioness who needs exactly the bondage and pain he can offer.

This was a great fourth book in the series that I absolutely recommend reading. I really enjoyed this story about Polina and Jared, or Master Loki as everyone at the club knows one of the owners as. Their relationship was fraught with secrets and danger. I just loved how Jared was able to push Polina through her kinks and eventually they were able to make their relationship work out for their happily ever after.

Loved this! Here we get to really know Master Loki! We have been introduced to him in the other books of the series, but there was always something he was hiding. When his job forces the beautiful Polina into his atmosphere he cant help but fall for the woman who is his perfect match. The both are holding back, not willing to fall for anything but the heat, passion and escape that they can offer the other. Now I cant wait for Declan and Marissa's story!!

Jared (Loki) and Polina story was intense, with danger and adrenaline, secrets, trust that needs to be earned and kept, love, and a hard earned happiness.
Their chemistry was explosive, and they slowly learned how to crumble their walls, and being truthful about themselves.
I liked seeing old characters, their shenanigans, and Polina was accepted into their group.
I also liked seeing the changes in them and how happiness made them shine.

Master Loki was quite the page turner. The focus of the story was on Jared's task to infiltrate Polina's father's computer to gather information about his illegal dealings. Jared walks the fine line between using Polina as an asset and falling for her. The book was well written. The writng was brisk and to the point. The characters were strong and focused. Nicely done.

Amazing plot.
Fantastic characters!

Jared is a one night guy. Never the same lady twice in a row.
And Polina is a means to an end!

Emotional.
Intense.
Satisfying!

The Midgard series just keeps getting better and better!
