I'm an ex-navy wife who has travled around a lot. For years I studied my craft before jumping into the publishing pool. I love suspense and comedy.

I look forward to interacting with my readers.

Sigh...I'm baffled by all the five stars for this book & the series as a whole. I just thought this was rushed and choppy. I am not a fan of abrupt endings and I felt every one of the books in this series had one. Also I found a ton of editing mistakes in this last book which was very distracting.

Overall, these books were an ok read with enough entertainment factor that I read all five because I wanted to know how everything got resolved. Virgil was a great male lead while Cora's flipflopping emotional decision making was irritating. The minor characters were all very interesting and well developed.

Women of series

This book series was one of the best I have ever read and I've read hundreds of books in my life time! The story was continuously moving which kept you wanting to read and move on to the next book. The mystery, intrigue, and a slight touch of romance was perfect....Geri Foster, you're an outstanding author....these books should be made into a movie.....

'I was given a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review'

Virgil is getting tired of Cora's excuses to not marry him, the guards, the warden and the judge that sent her to Prison are trying to take her back. Now Virgil and everyone who cares about her along with some new friends have to help prove what really happened.

I did LOVE this book just like the others. There were a lot of questions answered. However a lot are still unanswered. I would have loved to have found out all of the things that did happen to Cora in prison. I guess a word you can use for it is anti-climactic. You just expected more. Every book has talked about all of the things that happened to Cora while she was in prison but you still don't get enough. With that being said, It was an amazing ending to such a great series. There was so much going on with such a small time frame. I first started out reading the authors Falcon Securities series and became addicted to the authors books. Then there was her Accidental Pleasures Series, which again I loved. Now there is this one. A series that I highly recommend reading. Out of all of the books of hers that I have read I honestly think that this series is my favorite. They are more heartfelt. I think the author probably went a little out of her comfort zone with this one but in my opinion it was well worth the risk and paid off. When you find an author that can write such amazing books no matter the price, they are well worth it. In my opinion this series is definitely a must read. You do have to start with book 1 and the first four do have cliff hangers but, again, in my opinion, well worth it.

I really, really enjoyed this series. So much so that I broke one of my own rules (loose rules, more of a guideline actually) to not buy books in a series that are not full length books. I consider a full length book to be at least 300 pages, preferably 400-00 pages. These are not. But...I got so engrossed in the story and it was so engaging and well written I just couldn't stand to not find out what happened to the characters.
Nevertheless, rules or no rules, I consider it money well spent. Set in the 1940's, the author created an amazing look back at how things were. I was born in the 50's so some of it wasn't hard to remember, but some things were before my time - like ice boxes and a dry cleaner/laundry that didn't have dryers and had to hang out clothes. I used to hang out clothes all the time when I was growing up and as a young wife, but never saw a business that did. Fascinating. I actually got the first book just because it was free and didn't really think I would like it - I thought it might be depressing since it was set in a time right after WWII but it was a very pleasant surprise.

I enjoyed the series it is definitely a page turner. HOWEVER, the author has split them up into mini books and I am tired of having to pay to read each additional book as of course the first one was free. She could have combined many of the books to be larger novels but she's the one being paid to write novels not me :)
Just pay attention to how many extra books are in the series because you will get hooked.

I love these books and realized I've almost finished the series. I hate to think of that because these books have been amazing. The mystery and intrigue are building. I highly recommend Geri Foster's series.

This is where I had to stop. This book was like a Danielle Steele novel in which the heroine had so much trouble and so little happiness that I couldn't keep with the series. When the couple finally abruptly married and seemed happy, I called it quits.
