He demands his submissive’s body and soul…but can he accept his sub’s heart?

Roddy Green never planned to fall in love and certainly not with his Dom, but every time he goes into Darkness, a fetish club, he falls for Vegas all over again. Being in love isn’t the same as being loved in return. Vegas is there to do a job—not to build a romance. But what if the main constant in Roddy’s life is also the one person he can’t live without?

Andrew Vegas knows his job. He’s a Dom. But there is more than one side to him and he’s tired of keeping the other parts of him hidden. One man makes him feel safe and comfortable enough to open up—his pet, Roddy. But will Roddy, the producer of a local news broadcast, want to be with a man with secrets?

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Roddy Green lives a stressful life. His job working for a local television station is taking over his life. Roddy finds himself stressed to the point of breaking. He calls Darkness, his fetish club, asking for an appointment. Something about Master Vegas has always pulled at Roddy, not just as his Dom but as a man.

Andrew Vegas is living a double life, his life inside Darkness as a Master and his life outside the club working for a .... After two years of having a D/s play relationship with Roddy he wants more, inside and outside of the club.

Roddy has longed for the day he could be with Master Vegas but are either of them men ready for the impact it could have on their lives?

BDSM blurbs always have me jumping to read, especially an m/m. I enjoyed this one, there is of a sorta/kinda insta-love with the explanation of being play partners for two years, without much back story, so it comes off as insta-love. It was more of an all in relationship. I wish there was more intense sex scenes within the club. I think with this kind of setting you need to make those scenes, hot, sexy and intense anything less feels off. Overall, I liked the read and would look for more from this author.

Short and sexy from Megan Slayer and a story that I enjoyed.

Roddy Green spends most of his time in charge at his high pressure job. His relaxation takes on a completely different aspect as a submissive. He is a regular at a BDSM club called Fetish where he always books in with the same Dom known as Master Vegas. There is no sex involved and in reality there should be no feelings involved outside of the scene but Roddy has fallen for his Dom even though he knows the feelings are not returned and it has left him feeling anxious and confused.

Andrew Vegas or Master Vegas as his subs know him works at Fetish as a Dom and has a few subs that he sees regularly but only one that has left a lasting impression. There are many different parts to Andrew and he makes sure he keeps them all completely separate. Ideally he would like to have it all but that just seems like the impossible dream.

After not seeing each other for a couple of weeks something changes between them when they are immersed in a scene at the club and suddenly the dream doesn’t seem that impossible anymore.

This was a quick enjoyable read with a touch of light BDSM thrown in.

Roddy is a TV producer and to ease his stresses at work he has been frequenting a BDSM club called Fetish. As a submissive he finds his heaven with his assigned Dom, Master Vegas. In the two years they have been acting out scenes together there has never been any sex, that is, until on that night when Master Vegas adds it to the shock of Roddy. He has secretly been crushing on his Dom and wanting more from their relationship, one he wants to move to a fully-fledged romance partnership outside of the club. Little does he realise that has been Andrew’s (Master Vegas’) dream too.

I really liked the storyline and although the romance aspect was a little rushed, especially as it took two years to build up to, I still enjoyed seeing how the pairing moved from professional to personal. There was also lots of love and passion thrown in to the story to give the reader an all engrossing short sexy read. Four stars

3.5 Heart Review by Cindy

BDSM is a particular favorite genre of mine and so I was happy to pick up this book for review.

Roddy is a man who lives a high stress life and finds relief in his visits to Darkness, the club his Dom, Andrew, works at. At least that’s how it started out. But something about Andrew calls to Roddy’s heart and mind and his reasons for going aren’t so clear any more.

Andrew hasn’t had a lot of relationships in his life, beyond the sub/Dom ones at the club. But there isn’t anything about Roddy that doesn’t appeal to him and he can’t help but yearn for more with him.

I liked this story. Roddy and Andrew are men who are easy to connect with and it wasn’t hard to cheer them on to their eventual happy ending.

Roddy’s whole life seems to revolve around his job and his need for something more is easy to understand. Andrew has a big heart that he tries to keep hidden until the control is taken from him.

There’s nothing really surprising about this story but it’s an easy ready, that had a good pace. I didn’t get bored half way through and while it didn’t light me on fire, it was a pretty good story.

If I have one complaint it’s more about the genre in general and I’m tired of women being the villains in so many m/m stories, especially as so many are written by women themselves. I’d love to see a good, supportive woman in the role of a friend more often.

The sex in this story is hot and I love the feeling of playfulness in some of them, because I truly believe that laughter should be a part of your sex life.

Like I said, there’s nothing particularly outstanding about this story, but if you’re looking for something that has interesting characters, a decent storyline that doesn’t feel rushed and a good, old-fashioned happy ending, this is the kind of book that you can read curled up on a rainy afternoon and it will leave you with a smile.

This book has both good and bad about it.

What I did like was that they were both men that have been hurt by others before. They finally have a shot with each other to have the best of both worlds. They each want a lover and to be able to have a D/s relationship...all with the same person.

They each have someone who understands and will meet their needs, all of them. And the sex between them was decently hot and sexy, but I really expected a little more BDSM element than it had.

This book starts in what feels like almost the middle of the story. When it begins Andrew and Roddy have actually been seeing each other regularly for two years as Dom and sub. There has never been actually sexual intercourse between them.

However after Roddy is seriously feeling the tension from his job as a news producer for the local news he goes to see his Dom, Master Vegas after several weeks. Once there they finally break past their boundaries and have sex. After that things move in at rollercoaster pace.

There is no back story to really explain how the two of them have started to fall for each other. Nothing to explain why Andrew was suddenly willing to change the rules after two years. It just jumped to let’s do this and have a relationship. I felt like I completely missed something.

Plus there are a few other things that I questioned happening. It all left me a little underwhelmed when it was all said and done. However I did still manage to enjoy the story since the two men did work well together.

So not a perfect book, and if you look past certain things, both Andrew and Roddy are nice guys who manage to find someone to spend their lives with.

I really enjoyed Roddy and Andrew's character. Each had their own unique twist which really helped their relationship blossom. I hated that they each felt that they needed to hide themselves from their friends. It made me so sad that people's prejudices prevented them each from finding their place for so long.
While this book's relationship status went from part-time lover to full blown boyfriend material in a very short time, I did not feel that they were truly boyfriends throughout. It felt almost as if only after they figured out their own situation did they really feel like a couple. I would have liked them to lean on each other more. However, I did like that Andrew was not all domineering and overpowering in the story. I liked that you got to witness his self-doubt and worry. Too often the Doms in books have no worries, which in turn, for me, makes them feel too fake.

The chemistry between Roddy and Andrew was off the charts and I loved the power exchanges that developed in to their tender relationship.

I really enjoyed this story.

This book really didn't hold any surprises or suspense. It was kind of dull in my opinion. We get dropped into the middle of a BDSM relationship without any backstory and the couple is both suddenly wanting more even though they've been playing together for two years and neither had wanted anything more before then.

There was only a tiny amount of BDSM in the book, which I didn't particularly understand since they were supposed to be in a BDSM relationship and needing that to be part of any relationship that would work long term.

However, the book was well written and I didn't have a problem reading it, just felt like there was a lot left to be explained between the two characters.

A Joyfully Jay review.

I will preface this review by stating this book is a novella. As with most novellas, readers don’t get a whole lot of “extra” in terms of storyline. This is one of those books where I would have liked the book to have been a bit longer.

This book starts two years after these two men have been in a D/s relationship that didn’t include sex. Now, two years later, they all of a sudden decide to incorporate sex into their play sessions. For a couple who takes two years to get to the point where they are ready for sex, to move to declaring their love for each other after only two days in a relationship seemed a bit rushed. As a reader, it felt as if I was missing the backstory between these two characters. Why was Roddy falling in love with his Dom? Why did Andrew feel as if he could risk a relationship with Roddy after all this time?

The sex scenes between these two were off the charts. Imagine… Master Vegas, this hulking man, with Roddy, who self describes himself as a dork. Yet, I was disappointed that there wasn’t a whole lot of BDSM action besides a bit of spanking and minor knife play going on.

Overall, this book was a quick, sexy read with a decent story line for a novella.

Constant is by one of my favorite authors Megan Slayer. I love her edgy BDSM and deep romantic connection it brings to her characters. There is light knife play, now usually that would make me shiver and not in the good way, but in this book it is light and no blood so I am totally okay with it.
Okay let’s get to the characters. Roderick Green or Roddy he is a producer at channel 25 for the last eight years. It is a fledgling channel and all new and inexperienced people are under him. He has a lot of pressures to make this channel work. He takes a lot of things on to himself. He needs the submission he seeks with Master Vegas. He has to learn to let go and just be for a while otherwise he would just break.
Master Vegas – Andrew is his real name. But he loves Roddy. He drops everything when he calls asking for a scene. He is a tough but fair dom who is falling hard for the sweet needy submissive.
I would describe Constant as a beautiful powerful read. I love when BDSM brings another layer and deeper connection to characters. Ms. Slayer makes me love her character and want much more of them. I also have read Permanent but you do not have to understand this story. I would suggest reading it anyways it is a wonderfully written story with unforgettable characters.
When you want some edge to you man love this is the book to pick up.
