The first of four serials, this story certainly doesn't waste any time! I listened to the Audible version this morning and within the first few minutes our heroine, Hannah, is having kinky sex with a stranger. That was the first time that her identity was mistaken for her twin sister's. Despite feeling guilty for having sex with her sister's unwitting boyfriend, she can't deny that it was the best sex of her life.
When her sister, Harley, is killed, Hannah's life is turned upside down. Forced to go on the run from the killers, she hides out with her aunt. Day to day, she works to try and save her aunt's home.
Unfortunately, the second time that her identity is mistaken for her sister it doesn't work out so well for Hannah. Desperate to earn enough money, she agrees to be a wealthy man's escort for a month. Only, she's met this man before and he's only interested in revenge.
Jackson plans to punish Harley for her deceit. She ruined his life six years earlier and he's still stinging from the betrayal. He has waited years to exact his revenge and he has no intention of falling prey to this femme fatale again.
Overall, this was a nice, quick read. It was fast-paced and entertaining. In some ways it was a little too fast-paced for me. I would have liked to see more character development, but I realize that isn't something that I'm going to get with a serial. I do like it enough to continue the series and will start the second serial immediately. I'm looking forward to seeing where this story will take me.

A Review of Dark Domination (Bought By The Billionaire, Book 1) by Lili Valente
Holy Hotness Jackson!! 5+++++ stars
Lili has come up with an awesomely amazing new series. Twins Hannah and Harley were dramatically different from each other, with Hannah being the softer, kinder of the two. I am looking forward to learning more about the family they were born into and flesh out some of the hints that were provided in this first book.
Jackson is an ex-Marine that has turned to arms dealing who ruined his life six years ago and he believes that Hannah is Harley. I don't want to give any spoilers at this point, but evidently Jackson and Harley were an item, then Jackson had a brief encounter with Hannah, thinking she was Harley. Hannah has not been able to forget him during the six years that has passed.
I can see there are going to be some major bumps along the way, but I am so excited to see where Lili takes this story in the upcoming books. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone that likes the bad boy and pushing limits. Great job so far!

Just read the synopsis then looked at all the five star reviews, now I've been completely reeled in!!
It starts off with Harley, Hannah's twin warning Hannah not to leave the apartment under any circumstances, no one must know that she is there..Still after reading that it's still unclear why the need for her to stay hidden..
Then the unthinkable happens, an intruder comes in through the apartment window..
Hannah is suddenly wrenched awake by the feeling of a heavy body settling on top of her in the darkness and a huge hand covering her mouth..
MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Relax, princess. It's just me, I came in through the window. I thought I'd make that fantasy you were telling me about a reality..

This book was full of surprises, even though it's a short read it did pack alot of punch within those pages, not so much a unique story as I've read similar before but it was still enough to keep me zooming through those pages to get to the end..I'm intrigued to know what's going to happen in the next book, the only gripe I do have with this is that big beginning and the climax of OMG how is she going to explain this to her sister only to turn the page and it's 6 years later but then the story sort of caught us up towards the end..

Kind of strange...
Dark Domination was a pretty erotica kind of book - yet it was also a little confusing. It's about Hannah, who had a twin sister named Harley, and how she was bought by a stranger. He just happens to be a billionaire and such and out for revenge. Jackson has been hurt by Harley and when he finds Hannah, thinking she's actually Harley, well he wants to teach her a lesson.
Of course things start to heat up between the two. I have a feeling that he actually called her Hannah once or twice.. but he still kept thinking she was actually her dead twin sister Harley. Now Harley doesn't seem like the kind of person who will always have your back. Nope - she mostly just seems to care about herself and only that. So when she suddenly dies well it definitely turns Hannah's world upside down. Now she's dealing with all of the her consequences which I think is completely unfair. Yet, she does sort of start to fall in love with Jackson.
Now the smut was amazing. I loved them together... but it was still really weird to me when he kept thinking and calling her Harley. I would probably freak out if someone called someone else's name out while you're doing it - but hey, she played the weird ass part too.
Overall, my twin (aka FELICIA) already told me that the second weird is sort of already like the first book SO I have no idea if I want to dive into that right now. Maybe it will be better or stranger.. again, I have no idea what will be in that book. I just really want him to acknowledge her as Hannah though..

I have never read anything like this before. It was dark and quite emotional.
Hannah has a twin sister, Harley. When Harley dies, she is left alone with her aunt. They move to Tahiti and start a new life but money's not easy to come by.
When an offer from an elusive billionaire comes Hannah's way, she realizes that she has to do anything in order to survive. So, she agreeds to be the man's intimate company for a month.
But the wealthy man is not what Hannah had in mind. Jackson has one purpose only; to get his vengeance on the woman who betrayed him; Harley. But there is a catch; he has the wrong sister in his hands. How will Hannah get out of his grasp alive?
The book was sensual and gritty! There is a very clever twist in this book and I loooooove twists! I loved this first novella and I cannot wait for the second part!

Oh man. This quick read, ending in a cliffy is the WORST case of mistaken identity. Hannah is confused with her conniving sister, Harley, and ends us having a night of exquisite passion with Harley's boy-toy of the moment, Jackson. Hannah offers token protests to Jackson's sensual assault but totally gives into his mastery of her body. That one night changes Hannah forever, in more ways than one. She finds out things about her family from her aunt Sybil that cause them to go on the run, changing their identities. Unfortunately for us readers, we don't discover the family secrets in this book but we know they involve her father, who is also a schemer.
Fast forward a few years and Jackson finds out that Harley is still alive. Only it's not Harley, it's Hannah, the woman he remembers the night of explosive passion with, thinking it was Harley. Doesn't that just make your brain hurt?!? But the Jackson we meet now is no longer the considerate but dominating lover who played her body masterfully. This Jackson is bent on revenge because Harley duped him, crushed his heart, and landed him in jail. Again, we don't know the exact how (although rape is mentioned) or why (Harley's motives are a mystery) of the jail stint but Jackson is serious about payback. He intends to use Harley (really Hannah) for his sexual demands for one month. He buys her submission with the offer of a million dollars because Hannah and her aunt desperately need the money.
And man...when it's revealed who Jackson is, Hannah's reaction isn't as expected. Far, far, from expected.

A superb, dark and sexy escape.
If you like your men dominant and want a sexy take with a good twist, look no further, be prepared for an interesting plot mixed in with super hot detailed sexy encounters.
I grabbed this on KU as I like about of dark romance. I'd not read this author before but absolutely will again, starting with the next in this saga. This was pure fiction escapism.
If you dream of a man like this but are middle aged with a man who would rather watch sport then escape into some book fantasy for a while.
Not for the prudes, graphic yet real, I'm keen to see how the twist plays out. Great dark romance and a quick, enjoyable read too. 5 stars from me.

There's no way this book was 145 pages(GR or 158 Amazon). I read it in less than an hour... I don't normally read serials until after they have all been published because they usually get bundled together anyway.
All that being said i really enjoyed this short read. It had sex and some mystery which i enjoy very much. Hopefully the rest of the installments will be out soon so that i can finish it!

A spin on the evil twin--I don't think I've ever read one where the evil twin was a girl ;)
This was an interesting concept and I loved Jackson's character. He was such an asshole. At least, he was at the end. I do wish we would have gotten to see more of what Hannah's sister actually did to him to mess him all up in the head, but maybe that's in the next book?? I'm still deciding if I liked it enough to invest the $9 to finish out the series.

Wow! This book was full of twists and surprises that I did not see coming.
After one night of crazy passion with her twin sister's unknowing boyfriend, Hannah's life takes a drastic turn for the worst. Forced to abandon her life and identity she is struggling to make ends meet when she is offered an interesting proposition.
Little does she know that by accepting the offer she will be placing herself in the hands of a man hell bent on getting his revenge on her. When Hannah realizes this man has mistaken her for her dead twin will she be able to convince him that she's not the sister he's after.

This was short, sometimes filthy, and definitely intriguing enough to make me want to continue with the series. The cliffy at the end was quite the tease! I’m thinking I might buy the ebook with the entire series included so I can read it all at once. Each book seems short enough and I’m sure I’ll be happy I did in the end.
I really want to know Jackson better. A lot better. I need to know more about him and watch as his anger and and revenge and lust combine into torturing / using / pleasuring his … uh…purchase.
I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrators made this enjoyable.

Though I hate "serials", I really liked the start of this one. Good story set up made from mistaken identity. He (Jackson) hates her (Hannah) because he thinks she is someone she's not.....her twin sister. It may sound little outlandish, but the way that the story is told, it's believable.
This is a dark read with a dominance/submissive tone.
Will definitely read book 2 next.

I read this a few years ago and didn’t review it. I vaguely remember… it’s a twin swap which I hate. Jackson has sex with Hannah thinking she’s Harley who he’s in love with.. Meanwhile sadistic Evil twin Harley pulls a fast one on Jackson setting him up for raping her. Later Harley dies. 6 years later Jackson sets up Hannah who he thinks is Harley to be his sex toy for a month of D/s games with the goal to break her and make her pay for setting him up. He blindfolds her and takes her to an island to begin his torment … next book..

I read this a few years back but I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I enjoyed Harley’s story even more. There is intrigue and these books are hot. I enjoy this author. She writes strong-minded and pragmatic heroines and her heroes are alpha and intelligent. The pacing of this book was fast, which I enjoyed. This book ends on a cliffhanger but it’s a great series. I always look for more from this author.

Well in the hoped for and expected fashion from Lili Valente, Dark Domination was sexy and blazing hot hot hot! The passionate connection between these characters, albeit some stemming from hurt and mistrust from the past as well as unexpectedly arousing and exciting, it is absolutely unsurpassed in other erotic romance novels I have previously read, except possibly from Ms. Valente’s first series. So be ready for the increase in your own heart rate as you turn page after page in this amazing new series.
Jackson’s life was left ruined by a manipulative and uncaring woman. So when the opportunity presents itself to make her atone for the destruction she caused, Jackson is determined to make her pay, no matter what it takes.
Hannah couldn’t be more opposite than her devious and conniving twin sister. So with her unexpected and sudden death six years ago as well as the family tragedies which have continued to occur, Hannah is left with only one option to save what’s left of her family’s home: to sell herself to a wealthy billionaire in exchange for living under his complete control for an entire month. Harley and her twin, Hannah could not be any different. Harley is the protector, and will do whatever it takes to make sure Hannah is okay. An unexpected visitor shows up to Harley’s apartment thinking that Hannah is her. He has his way with Hannah. She can't find the words to tell him who she really is... and by the sounds of her moans, she doesn't want to.
Circumstances has made Hannah flee to Tahiti years later, after burying Harley too early in life. Hannah will have to make a choice in order to help her and her aunt survive. Will it be the right choice? Or will her past come back to haunt her?
Let me start off by saying holy cliffhanger!! Just when we are getting ready to see how Hannah deals with her new master’s identity, it ends and forces you to wait for the next book. I cannot wait to see what happens between Hannah and Jackson. The chemistry between the two is undeniable; even if Hannah has never seen his face. To have that passion, and desire for a person by just their touch is intense.
While this is a novella, it is packed with goodness. When it came time for it to end, I literally screamed! I can't prepare you enough for that cliffhanger, you will be so anxious to get your hands on the next story. I can only imagine what is in store for Hannah and Jackson!

I read this book solely for the cover...and that's what I get for being estupid.
Did I laugh? Heck yeah!!! The entire thing was soooo dumb I couldn't help bust out laughing. I almost added it to my "made me cry shelf" because it was that bad!!!
I'd like to brag that I narrarated this book to my bestie and she wanted to give it 4 stars for my stellar performance, but Nay, I wouldn't let her. The only reason it's getting 2 stars were for the nonstop laughs and fits of giggles it brought out.
Please understand this book wasn't MEANT to be funny. I think the author was seriously trying to write a serious and steamy book but...oh well.
And yet, Tanya wants to check out book 2 because we got such a kick out of this one so it might just be bad enough to bring you back for more.

Quite intriguing, I mean the author didn't hold back on the good stuff. Which I appreciate. The thing is... if Jackson had hired a P.I., wouldn't he know that Hannah is his ex's twin? There should be a record of that, right? I don't know... that part bothers me, but that's just me. I also wish the novel could have been a tad bit longer so there's more room for character and story development. Everything was quite fast-paced.
Overall, it was an entertaining read and I will be continuing the series.

4.5 "Pleasure/Pain" Stars!!!
This was one of the hottest things I've read in a while. I'm talking off the charts H.O.T.!!! The set-up reminded me of Debt Inheritance series which I loved! I loved that it ended in a cliffhanger that normally would have killed me. However, I have the whole set so that ending just made me love it more. My only problem. Way too short. Give me More!!!
