ARC ……

Usually when I finish a book I do a review and move on. I wasn’t able to do this with Shared Obsession. I had such a bad book hangover I needed to step away. It’s been a few days now and I still miss this book and wonder what the characters are doing. To me that is the sign of a good book. I read it like a woman possessed as I needed to know what was happening but I never wanted it to end. The story is fast paced and intense. The character build up makes you intensely love some, and hate others. You are left in a ‘why choose’ situation because you can’t love one of the MMC more than the other two. The relationship dynamics are brilliantly done, you feel the chemistry in all dynamics. The spice is hot whether it’s MF or MM. I am not a cryer when it comes to reading but I can tell you now, if you are, I know where you’ll cry! Olivia you bought it with Shared Obsession. This ticked a lot of boxes for me and I can’t wait to get my mitts on Tortured Obsession!

A brutal storm leaves four survivors stranded in a tiny cabin at the edge of nowhere – but the real danger isn’t the weather outside. It’s the secrets, hurts and loyalties they’re carrying inside.

Ayla has spent her whole life running from things that want to hurt her. Now she’s stuck with three men who’d burn everything down to keep her safe… even if that means turning into the very kind of monsters she’s always feared.

As lies unravel and threats close in, trust crumbles and every rule gets thrown out. There’s no room for kindness here – vengeance is all that feels like survival. But Ayla isn’t the scared girl who ran anymore. She’s found people worth fighting for, and this time she’s the one who gets to choose who makes it out alive.

Told through four raw, compelling perspectives, this is a dark, gripping story about what we carry, what we’ll do for the people we love, and how even the most broken things can learn to bite back.

Some monsters destroy. Some save. They’re forged in fire.

I honestly don't even know how to put into words how I feel about Shared Obsession.

This book gave me SO many emotions. I laughed, I swooned, I stressed, my heart hurt, I got attached, and there were so many moments where I just sat there thinking WHAT AM I EVEN SUPPOSED TO FEEL RIGHT NOW?! 😫😪

3 MMCs and an FMC, and somehow I fell completely in love with every single one of them. They each have such different personalities and such different relationships with her, and I loved seeing how differently they cared for and treated her. Even the little things, like each of them having their own nickname for her, made their relationships feel so much more personal.

And I have to mention the MMC/MMC relationships because… 👀🔥

I'm saying NOTHING because I refuse to spoil anything, but I absolutely loved that there was more than just the relationships between Alex, Dean, Zayn and Ayla. Their relationships with each other added something I wasn't expecting, and I became just as invested in those dynamics too.

I think that's what made this book hit me so hard. It wasn't just the romance or the spice or the obsession (although YES to all of that 😂). It was the emotional connection between these characters. I cared about them. I felt their happiness, their hurt, their jealousy, their fears and everything in between.

Every single one of them found a little place in my heart, and somehow I can't even pick a favourite because they all bring something completely different to the story. Maybe Dean 🙈

There were moments I wanted to hug them, moments I wanted to shake them, moments I wanted to scream at my Kindle and moments where I was just sat there with smiles and tears.

I came out feeling like I had been emotionally attached to these characters for so much longer.

And now I've finished it and I'm left with that horrible what am I supposed to read now? because I genuinely don't want to leave them behind. 😭

Thank you so much to Olivia Cooper for trusting me with this ARC. 🖤

5 ⭐️ isn't enough. I'm genuinely obsessed.

Do you want a hot trauma ridden roller coaster ride? Enjoy indie authors that actually talk to there readers ? Do you want to keep thinking why am I still reading this as you alternate laughing gasping and bawling your eyes out then screaming at the wall and scaring the crap out of your husband only to get to the end wrecked and still rating it five stars? Then this is the book for you.

I truly underestimated this Read. I don't easily get attached to people in general, this life, my life, so why the f-*k would i even fathom it happening from reading a book right? Ha! But then, i met Ayla, she met Alexander, they met me. Then, Alexander and me protected her, she didn't even notice, so we worked on ourselves. One day we finally seen her again, excited like a little boy with a crush, but a desire to make sure she stayed ours. Then chaos hit. We did what we had to do. The family grew, they were just as caring and respectful as Alex and me, man those dudes are savage though. The intensity grew but one thing was certain, we all loved her, we all would lay down our lives for her, she deserved that, devotion, security , to know no matter what she was safe. It didn't matter who was in our path. The nights we had throughout all of the chaos was best spent by bonfires! Mmmm, just to loose it all. However a fu-@k*n Boss, in which i could only smile when reading her name...Ayla. There you have it, that is how this read ended up for me. I read sentences that make my blood flow with rage AND pleasure, I jumped out of my chair at 1:30 am screaming "THAT'S WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT" my heart raced, i was pissed, had plenty of Maaan WTF moments. I do know this, i felt like i was apart of this story and that family. That's how deep the story grabbed my emotions. The way Olivia wrote this story. It's like she lived it and invited you to ride front seat as she brought it to life, giving a fist bump saying "you ready" as she smashes the pedal racing up the ramp to take off into the flames of hell for the fight of your life and emotional suffering you weren't ready to face. Shiiiit, I'm Obsessed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Shared Obsession was an intense, fast-paced read that kept me completely engaged.

There were some unexpected twists that genuinely caught me by surprise, which is saying something because not many books manage to do that! I really enjoyed not being able to predict where the story was going.

There are a lot of trigger warnings with this one, and although the darker elements were written really well, they didn't quite drag me under in the same way some other dark romances have. That didn't take away from the story though, and the darker themes definitely added to the intensity.

The storyline was gripping, the pacing was spot on and I never found myself wanting to put it down.

And the spice... 👀🔥 It was SO well written. The MM elements actually made me uncomfortable, but purely because MM isn't my thing. It definitely wasn't the writing — quite the opposite! If anything, the fact that it made me uncomfortable shows how well those scenes were written.

And Alya... what a character! She is the kind of FMC who makes you feel like you genuinely want to be her friend. I loved getting to know her throughout the story and watching her navigate everything thrown at her.

The ending definitely left me wanting more, which is both brilliant and slightly cruel 😂. I'm now very impatiently waiting for the next book because I NEED to know what happens next.

Overall, I really enjoyed Shared Obsession. The twists, the dark elements, the characters, the relationship dynamics and the spice all came together to make this a seriously gripping read.

Olivia, you've got me hooked. Now hurry up with the next book! 🖤🔥

★★★★ 4/5 - Emotional damage in the best possible way

The book starts off with Ayla clearly having a bad day. So of course some random guy decides to stop her for a chat in a gas station parking lot in the middle of the night. Any sane person would run back to their car and peel out. But Ayla is emotionally exhausted and not thinking straight, and that one moment changes everything.

From the very first line, the author's writing style grabs you and doesn't let go. It's so easy to escape into. The best way I can describe it is honest sarcasm dripping with real world trauma. It just hits.

Without spoilers — THAT CONTRACT?!?! IYKYK 🤬🤬🤬

Please check the trigger warning list before going in. Even being prepared, parts of this book gave me such a visceral reaction. It was devastating, disturbing, deranged and every emotion in between. But that's what I love about dark romance. It pulls out feelings I don't normally let myself feel.

My only complaint is the insta-love from Dane and Zayn towards Ayla. There was no real lead up, they see her in the apartment right after something traumatic happens and suddenly that's it for them. And apparently for her too.
BUT the tension and chemistry between all four of them? Absolutely feral. 🔥🔥🔥

There are so many devastating chapters I lost count. I want to spoil everything so you can cry with me, but I won't. Just know those epilogues absolutely wrecked me. 😭❤️

If you want a dark, emotional, why-choose that is determined to hurt your heart, read this.

Thank you, Olivia Cooper for allowing me the opportunity to read the e-ARC of Shared Obsession. It was truly a pleasure.

This is an amazing journey of obsession, love, found family, and sacrifice .

Ayla wasn't looking for Alex, but they found each other by chance and Trom that moment, Alex became ner protector, He didn't just watch out for her, he changed the trajectory of his life and his best friends' lives, but most importantly Ayla's.
Alex's best friends Dean and Zaynye were pulled into a fight for their lives and they all made it their mission to protect Ayla and stand by her no matter what.

The aspect that I respected the most was that none of the protectors were trying to "fix" Ayla. They merely stood around her and provided the space she needed to begin to feel safe again.

This journey is not a polite one and it doesn't shove the truth about how vile people can really be and how the depravity of/human beings seems to Mhetendless.
OLIVIA COOPER
Even with all of these things Olivia has managed to create a loving and supportive poly relationship. There is enough spice to keep you obsessed with the characters and enough care to make you love them all.

There is an extensive TW and I suggest you read it before proceeding into this story. This particular book deals with some very dark subjects that are not just implied, but described in detail. Your mental health matters and even though the subjects are written with care, they are still shocking.

I would recommend this to any lover of pitch black, trauma based SessIve characters, found family, dual MF and MM relationships, and enough ve exquisitely written spice to keep you entertained through the entire book.

I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to move on from this book.

I’ve read a LOT of dark romance, and somehow Shared Obsession became the first one to ever have me in absolute tears by the end. Not just a couple watery eyes—I was CRYING.

This book had me completely enthralled. I was invested in the story, the characters, the relationships, all of it. It gave me exactly the kind of chaos and obsession I love in dark romance, but underneath all of that was so much emotion that I was absolutely not prepared for.

And that ending? Seriously…

It’s rare for a dark romance to give me everything I love about the darker side of the genre while also making me feel THIS much. I finished it emotional, completely attached to these characters, and honestly a little pissed that it was over.

And knowing Olivia is already writing a second one?! I’m just as excited for that one as I was for this. Because after Shared Obsession, there is absolutely no way Olivia Cooper is suddenly turning off this perfect mixture of chaos, obsession, darkness, and emotion—and I NEED MORE OF IT.

Five stars doesn’t even feel like enough.

My first dark romance to ever make me cry, and somehow I’m already dying to let Olivia emotionally destroy me again. 🖤

This book is a great read! Heart wrenching at times Olivia Cooper does a great job bringing into the emotional devastation that the characters feel. You follow Ayla as she works on making it out on her own away from her Fathers grasp. You meet Alexander 🥵 tall, dark, and immediately obsessed.

Ayla text Alex after work one night and gets ghosted or so she thought. Ayla moves on and meets Derek. Derek is a well known high profile lawyer that decides he wants to take care of Ayla, as long as she signs a contract. This contract had me seething 😡, but Ayla doesn’t read the contract because he loves her and she is so happy to start their life together. A life that turns into a nightmare.

Just when Ayla resigns herself to just trying to survive each day Alex reappears and handles that sh**! You then get quickly acquainted with Dean and Zayn, who I absolutely adored! Together they these 3 very beautiful men help Ayla reclaim her life, and become each other’s family.

If don’t want to give much more away but this book had me cheering, yelling, crying and feeling hopeful. Do yourself a favor and read this book!

ARC read for honest review.🖤
I rated this book 3.5⭐️

“We have a mission, and tonight, I am a fucking woman on fire.”

Looking for a book to fill all of your spicy, why choose?, ‘burn the world for her’ needs? This is it!

Shared Obsession is a ‘why choose?’ dark thriller romance that is HEAVY. These men would do just about anything to save Ayla and protect her from the abuse she has endured for years, including putting their lives on the line.

As a reader, I tend to struggle getting into ‘why choose?’ books, but I really enjoyed this one. The first 30-40% had me quite “bored,” but I’m really glad I stuck it out. This book is heavy and touches on topics of human trafficking, sexual assault, and various forms of abuse, so please check your triggers before reading.

Personally, the main thing that I didn’t necessarily love about this book is how none of these men really had ties to the main character, but were so willing to do anything for her almost immediately. I loveeee obsession and possession in books, but this one just felt a little too unnatural and forced in that aspect in my opinion.

🖤📖 SHARED OBSESSION — OLIVIA COOPER
⭐️ 4/5 stars
🌶️ 3/5 spice
Some books are a story.
Some books are an experience.
And then there are books that leave you staring at the final page thinking… “WHAT did I just read?” 🖤
Shared Obsession pulled me into a dark, complicated world where obsession, loyalty and blurred boundaries collide. The atmosphere is intense, the chemistry keeps the pages turning, and there’s enough tension to make putting the book down surprisingly difficult.
What really worked for me was the feeling that nothing was ever completely straightforward. Just when I thought I had figured out where things were heading, the story had another card to play.
🖤 THE VIBE: Dark • obsessive • intense • twisted
🌹 THE AESTHETIC: Roses, rain, secrets & questionable decisions
🔥 THE TENSION: Definitely there
📖 THE PAGE-TURNER FACTOR: High
⭐️ MY VERDICT: A dark read that kept me hooked and absolutely earned its 4 stars.
Would I recommend it?
If you enjoy dark, intense romance with complicated relationships and plenty of tension, this one is worth adding to your TBR. 🖤🌹

Voluntary ARC read and WOW! Olivia Cooper did not waste any time pulling me straight into the story!

Ayla is a 19-year-old dancer who leaves home trying to make ends meet, and that’s when she meets Alex—the dark, mysterious, blue-eyed MMC. I LOVE that we jump right into meeting Ayla and Alex, and I love it even more that they meet in Chapter 1. Cue the obsession!

Then comes Derek…the contract…the abuse. I screamed, held my breath, cheered, and absolutely clapped when Alex handled business. YES!!! 👏🏻

And then Zayn and Dean showed up, and I didn’t even know I needed them until I read this book! The emotions literally jumped off the pages and were completely palpable.

There were moments I wanted to jump through the pages, moments I was holding my breath, and moments I was cheering these characters on. This book had me FEELING everything!

And now I’m sitting here thinking…

“All I can do is watch her flinch at shadows and hope she’ll let me stand beside her in the dark.”

Yeah…I’m obsessed. Such a great read and very well written! 🔥

🔥🔥🔥🔥 [4/5]

First things first, please check your trigger warnings. This book touches on multiple heavy themes.

I devoured this book in less than 1 day. It kept me engaged from start to finish and took me through every emotion, from giddiness to heartbreak.

The FMC has a significant history of childhood trauma, which plays a part in how her story unfolds. She wears her insecurities and apprehension on her sleeve.

The 3 MMCs are friends whose love runs deeper than they ever realized. Each MMC felt different, but not so much to the point where you would prefer one over the other.

The plot is intense and takes you on one hell of a ride. The book is medium paced.

The spice is spicy and frequent, including group scenes and MM encounters.

Overall, this ARC was an unexpected good time.

Read if you enjoy:
SA survivor rep
Why Choose
Possessive/Obsessive MMCs
Stalker MMC
Touch Her & Die
Group/MM Spicy Encounters

Wow. I was not prepared for that book. At All…it was dark, demented and daunting. Don’t get me wrong, it was an incredible book, but woah! That was one of the darkest book I’ve read in a while. Olivia Cooper is a new to me author, but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more of her books!!

This was truly an outstanding book. Deep plot, unforgettable characters, heart wrenching pain, savage revenge, this book had it all. Ayla was a magnificent FMC. The depth of strength in that woman astounds me! Alex, Dean and Zayn were phenomenal MMCs. I loved how each of them brought their own spark of unwavering love to Ayla.

The emotions in this book were next level. I’m talking a roller coaster of joy, pain, anger, disbelief, anguish, passion, happiness, grief, devotion and anxiety. It will take me a long time to recover from this book. It’s going to cause one heck of a book hangover!!

Shared Obsession is dark, messy, emotional, and somehow still packed with so much love.

With eight pages of trigger warnings, you know going in that this story isn’t going to shy away from difficult subjects. There is a lot of trauma and darkness here, but underneath all of it is a story about healing, finding your people, and creating a family in unexpected places.

I really enjoyed the found-family aspect and watching the relationships between these characters grow. They are complicated, damaged people who find connection and safety with each other, and that gave the darker parts of the story a lot of heart.

If you enjoy dark romance, found family, healing, complicated characters, and plenty of emotional wreckage along the way, Shared Obsession is worth picking up.

Definitely check the trigger warnings before diving into this one!

First and foremost please read TRIGGER WARNINGS!!! This is a heavy book but it was absolutely amazing!! It is written beautifully.
Stars:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This book consumed me. It had me hooked in the very beginning. I didn’t go in completely blind but it was more than I was imagining.

There is Multi-POVs and you will feel everything, at one point I wanted to reach into the book and hold Ayla you will feel it all. It will hurt in the worst way but also the best. This is a pitch black book but soooo amazing that you won’t put it down.

There is motorcycles, stalking, kidnapping, and so much more that you will have to read to find out 😈

So if you don’t have any triggers and you think you can handle it, sit back and enjoy the ride that Shared Obsession is. Be prepared for anything because I doubt you will see it coming I know I didn’t.

This book was fantastic in all the right ways. It’s a dark romance packed with all the elements we love plus some. 😮‍💨 I mean sheesh. It is definitely a why choose. No one is off limits in this one as far as why and who we are choosing. I mean I didn’t know I was into that until I read it in this book. 🤣 It is Spicy in all the right places.😏 It also has a great plot with some emotional damage sprinkled on top. I don’t know about you, but I am a sucker for some good emotional damage. It also is great because it’s not repetitive like other why choose books tend to be. Every character has their own traits as well as relationships within the why choose. It’s great. Highly recommend. There are also motorcycles involved.😉 How could it get any better?🥵

Obsessed with Shared Obsession

I went into this book completely blind except for the knowledge that it was a dark romance. I loved this book and can't wait for the the second book in the trilogy to be released. The author not only introduced me to the characters, she made me fall fast and hard. The main female character was forged by trauma and saved by love. She was a force of nature and the strongest mfc I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Oh my goodness the mmc's, yes ladies that is plural, are phenomenal. The 3 mmc's are best friends but more like brothers and they all share a deep love and devotion to the mfc. This book is all of the things, trauma and tragedy, revenge and redemption, dark and dirty, heartbreaking and hopeful. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So let me just start by saying this. I am so disappointed that I have to wait for book two. I went through so many emotions with this book. I lost sleep just thinking about what would happen next and boy was I wrong at every twist and turn. I am a dark romance girlie through and through and this book hit me in all the right places. I love how fast paced it was and how when you thought you knew what was going to happen next, the joke was on you because no it didn’t lol. But when I say I will be purchasing a physical copy of this book soon. I need to make it feel real because this book had me in a chokehold I didn’t know I needed. I will not be spoiling anything. You have to read it for yourself. And on that note pick up the book.

This book took me on a heart break roller coaster. My heart broke over and over for Ayla. Dean, Alex, and Zayn are a power house, they all brought their own strengths to the book. This is a dark book so please please check the trigger warnings. I didn't see where this was going because Ms. Cooper kept us on our dam toes every chapter. The suspense was insane!!!! I cried and cried so please buy multiple boxes of tissues. The ending was so bitter sweet, it hurt so good. We see how Ayla unsuspectingly grows stronger with the help of the guys. From a horrible childhoof and young adulthood she goes through some horrible situations. The plot the twists and the ending all wrapped this book in a perfect bow. I'm a first time reader and will definitely be reading more from this author!

I think it’s going to take me a while to recover from this one 😅

This book was so fast paced, hilarious & heartbreaking all at the same time.

Instant possessive, she’s mine vibes? Yes
Boyfriends who are boyfriends? Hell yes
Enough twists and turns to get you guessing? ABSOLUTELY.

Watching the relationship between Ayla, Alex, Dean & Zayn unfold was such a beautiful story. They all learned how to be together, and they just all seemed to fit perfectlt.

The twists & turns, the drama, the back stories of each character and the plot twists had me struggling to put this book down.

I giggled, I swooned, I sobbed, and I finished the story with so many emotions, but in the best possible way!♥️

Wow! It was not what I expected! Make sure to read your trigger warnings! With that being said, I loved this book. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go. Every time I thought I knew where the story was going, it changed and I was left on the edge of my seat wanting more! I love the characters (hating some) getting more in depth as the story progressed. The bonds built, the love, joy, tension, the pain, trauma, tears. It’s all there. I am not ashamed to say that I cried, so be prepared. The book is well written and very moving, touching on topics that evoke all kinds of emotions. It is fast paced and hard to put down. Spice-🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

Multi-Pov

Shared Obsession by Olivia Cooper is one of my absolute favorite reads this year.

There is, not only, the perfect amount of spice, there is plot twists, love, and obsession. My heart was destroyed, but through the pain, we healed and the end is perfect. It is DARK!!

I was easily able to put myself in this book-Those tend to be my favorites.

This book captured my attention immediately, and kept me through every twist and turn. I could not put it down. If you like pitch-black romance... this is the one for you.

There are time jumps, but not excessive.

I am so excited for book 2!

Shared Obsession
⭐️ 3.5/5

*ARC read for honest review*

At first, I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about this book. But I’m SO glad I kept going! Once I got about 30% in, I became completely engaged with everything that was happening.

I really enjoyed the storyline and where the book took me. One thing I didn’t particularly care for was how the characters seemed to simply look at the MFC and immediately become obsessed with her. It felt a little too instant for me.

But that ending… 😭

ABSOLUTELY RIPPED MY HEART OUT!!! 💔

I was NOT prepared for that ending, and now I’m left needing to know what happens next!

Well... Damn... That's pretty much how you sum this book up. There's suspense, there's spice, there's trauma that tears at your heart strings, there's passion, there's violence, but it's all well crafted into a novel that will blow your mind. Olivia Cooper sucks you in, the temptress and her sexy saviours, their story of obsession, love, vengeance and family. This novel will have you laughing, crying, ultimately blow your mind and wanting more.

Alex, Dean and Zayn are the protectors of Ayla... But what on earth is she needing protection from... Or from who?

Want to know .. definitely grab this for your TBR... You will not regret it!

I couldn't put this book down. I went through a roller coaster of emotions, mostly anger, it even pulled at my heart strings. Poor Ayla I just wanted to hug her after everything she went through. My heart hurts for her.
All I have to say is Fuck You Derek I fucking hate your ass!! Add Charles and Nathan to the fucking list too!
Dean might be my favorite cause damn gotta love hand necklaces. 🫣🫦
I cant wait for book number 2! I'm excited for it but also a little worried what awaits these characters.

Favorite quotes:

"I don’t even think she believes she deserves to be saved. I’d rather be the monster who saves her than the coward who walks away.”

"saving someone isn’t just about violence or vengeance. It’s about being brave enough to stay, even when you’re not sure you’re enough to help them heal."

OMG! This story broke me in so many ways. I’m still recovering.
It made me write in my notes things like: « I hope they die a horrible slow death. »
« I want to be the one to gauge N’s eyes while he’s still alive and screaming. ». And I’m usually a pacifist.
I loved the slow slope to Why Choose, it was perfect. And I loved the MM scenes. So much love.
5 stars of course. I feel so lucky to have read Shared Obsession.
