The Power of The P

Rate this book
Allure Stevens learned early on that she had the power to control others with her sexuality. It took her no time at all to make the transition from virgin to Madame, becoming a force to be reckoned with in the blink of an eye. What she thought was a secret between her and her best friend turns out to cause her irreversible heartache and pain, and with no one to turn to, she leaves Dayton, Ohio in her rear-view to start a new life, one that turns out to be an upscale mirror-version of her past.
Sincerity Davis has seen it all. At age 16, she and her twin sister, Serenity, were thrust into the track life after their mother’s death leaves them in the custody of a pimp. A chance encounter matches Sincerity with a happily-ever-after that quickly turns into a death sentence. When Serenity meets Charity, her dreams of escaping the track life are short-lived as she finds herself at the mercy of a dangerous addiction that threatens to permanently silence her heart.
Harmony Farmer has one night stand with her best friend, Allure, and believes she’s found her fairy tale ending. There’s just one problem–the feeling isn’t mutual. How far will Harmony go to win Allure’s heart?
The Power of The P will take you on a ride of lies, sex, and betrayal. Secrets will be revealed, and hearts will be broken as each woman struggles to stay afloat in her own juices.

This is my first read by the author and I applaud her efforts. The storyline started off strong but as the story progressed, I became confused and found myself going back to re-read some sections. There are numerous characters in this story and they all are not well-developed.

The one character I did like was Allure as she had a rough life and wanted nothing more than a fresh start.

I think once readers gain clarity on each character’s purpose, this could easily be a five star read.

If you are smart and pay attention, you learn early in life the value of things. The key is knowing the worth and how to get the most bang for your buck.

Allure Stevens is a very interesting 18-year-old girl. She is beautiful girl with no lack of friends but like some, she has secrets. Once her secret is discovered by her father, Allure's life is set into fast forward! While being free to explore new adventures, some of those adventures were better left where they were. It doesn't take long to realize that everything that glitters ain't gold.

The Power of The P is a book about life's choices and how to deal with the decisions that you have made. It shows you that actions have consequences and you have to deal with them or they will continue to be there waiting for you. The cast of characters are interesting because of the fact that they all have the same desires but seem to lack the correct motivation to get the desires results. This book has adult situations in it and it is not for the light-hearted, not a bad book if you can handle it. Walker has taken everyday life situations and created a book to keep you reading with your mouth wide open. I look forward to reading more from Walker in the future.

It's All In The Punanny

This was a good read. There was a lot going on an I expected the loose ends to be tied up at the end. When they weren't I was surprised. All in all I enjoyed the roller coaster ride and look forward to a sequel.

Happy Reading,
