When Belle fled for the woods in a desperate attempt at saving her virtue and her father, she never imagined the dark castle where she would be held captive, would ever hold any curiosities for her. But it did. Nothing there was as is seemed. The shadows danced and the people hid great secrets. Where she thought she would just find a tyrant, she found a man with another side to him—a monstrous side. And through the key holes and cracks in the doors, she saw things—things she couldn't resist watching. But somewhere along the way the captive became the curious and the master became less of a monster.

Sophie Starr is the naughty side no one likes to talk about, but everyone likes to read.

Can I book be forever long?? I never wanted this book to end, because...Beast. Do I need to say more??
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Sophie Starr/ Tara Brown's naight take on Beauty and the Beast!!! I hated Gaston, morethan I hate him in the Disney movie! He is a real jerk in this book!! I loved the Beast though...wait, I may already have said that! LOL
Beauty and the Beast with a splash of erotica. For me, this was just okay. Unfortunately, I felt that the most hated character was the best written one--Gaston. I could clearly picture him in my head in all his smarmy-ness. He was vile, misogynistic, and power hungry to the core... and he wanted Belle. I could feel this. What I could not feel was anything from the Beast, and I so wanted to. He had great potential to be this dominating force in Belle's life--to not only come in and save the day, but to also be her true Master in every way... and he fell short. There is a pretty hot sex scene . Later Belle and the Beast's lovemaking is ruined with stilted dialogue which completely threw me out of the moment. All in all, it was a quick read that definitely had some triggers (so heed the warnings), but I felt like it didn't live up to its potential.
I really liked this :) I thought it was a brilliant version, I was expecting more smut and filth in this (not sure if that's a good or a bad thing???) It could have been longer and I was a bit sad when it ended! However, I will never be able to sit and watch Beauty and the Beast without thinking of this version!!!! :D
Also, Gaston really is a douche! Story might need to come with a trigger/rape warning??
•••NOT for the homophobic, transphobic, closedminded or faint of heart!•••
This series does not have to be read in order. The first book is "Sinderella". This is the second book. I can't wait to read "The Club"!
Belle and her father have moved to a town because of a Mender job offered by Gaston. Her father was a great inventor until her mother became sick and died. Afterwards he never invented anything new that worked. Belle has made friends with the bookstore owner and borrows his books and shares her love of stories with him. Gaston has plans for her she would not enjoy. Will her father's new invention actually work and bring them new fortune? Can she escape marrying Gaston? Or worse? Will she have to run for her life?
This was a free download from Amazon. It is basically an erotic version of Beauty and the Beast. I found it hard to stay connected to the story, as there were things that some may find uncomfortable or offensive. Strong sexual situations, but lacking depth with the characters. It felt rushed and a weird ending. It just wasn't for me.
Oh my, this book has some serious ups and downs. Gaston is a true villain in this one, completely attrocious. This is no disney fairytale, and the bad guy (Gaston) has no redeeming qualities. Belle is interesting, but I didn't like how she was so passive in defending herself from Gaston.
The story itself is tantalizing and the dynamic between the beast and Belle is intriguing. It's definitely a great twist on the classic fairy tale story.
It was a dark, twisted, yet hot version and take of a fairytale. Erotic. Gripping. I was pulled in, right from the beginning. Of course, it was shocking when the storyline took a 180 on me, making my jaw drop but wow!
Ah, Beast, there was one scene I wanted to smack you for but you sort of redeemed yourself. All right, you most likely redeemed yourself.
I really liked Belle. She was strong and fearless. The story is not set in modern times, so her behavior was the norm.
I have a feeling I'm going to reread this book a few times and also read more by Ms. Tara Brown.
Three stars because I love Tara Brown but this story was lacking. It felt rushed and would have been enhanced with a lower speed. As a reader I was unable to get I into the story as I had a hard time imagining the scenes. I hate overdone imagery and as this book shows, I hate the lack thereof. Because the story is so well known, I think the author left out much of the premise behind the original fairytale and this was a mistake. Beast was the most disappointing part. Belle never felt real to me. I'm not sorry I purchased the book and do not regret the read. Perhaps my expectations were for a longer adventure with more character development and this was intended for quick reading and women's fantasies.
My favorite story retooled with the missing element
I have read so many story's of beauty and the beast. It is one of my favorite fairy tales. Love overcoming visual barriers and learning to love the person instead of what I see. I have always been mesmerized by the story as a whole and find any novel and devour it. This one was amazing. While others a written for kids or young adults, this story found an adult audience with sex rape and kamasutra. Disney meets 50 shades of gray. I loved it and read it in a few hours. I could not put it down. Definately will be picking up more fairy fantasies from this author
I really enjoyed this naughty novella of a book, it's a cute twist on the Disney tale but an adult version with a little light kink, the author kept the element of enchantment and magic with in the story, but the twist was who was the villain besides the evil Gaston.
This was a nice quick read, that made me intrigued enough to read the other book in this naughty tales series Sinderella. I hope I am as satisfied with the next book as I was with this one.
I would have to say this wasn't my favorite book. It just felt a bit awkward and lacked character and plot development. Maybe she wanted us to carry our knowledge of these character's over from previous tellings to fill in some of the gaps but it just made it fall a bit flat. I would really have liked more depth between Belle and the Beast. I liked his role the best and despised Gaston. He was absolutely horrid. So this one just ended up being ok for me.
So today I randomly had a hankering for a naughty re-telling of Beauty and the Beast. No clue where that came from, but whatever.
I came across this one and it fit the bill for the most part. It does have some rapey things to it (not by the Beast but by Gaston) so if that’s a trigger for you then stay away.
Overall I liked the story alright. The writing style was a little disjointed though and it was boring in places. But not too bad for an erotic retelling. Just okay.

This book is what it is - an adult erotica version of Beauty and the Beast. If you don't really care about the story and just want a bit of smut you might find this okay. There were a few awkward sexual encounters and some not so romantic sex scenes. I should warn you there are scenes of rape and sexual abuse.
I love Ms. Brown's writing. And who doesn't love fairy tales? Although a short read of Ms. Brown's version of Beauty and The Beast, it was a rather nice naughty story. Who's to say that didn't happen anyways as fairytales only show the pretty side of things. If you want a quick, naughty, romance story, this one will work just fine!
This retelling of Beauty and the Beast is very interesting. I can see the resemblance to Disney and its a nice adult version. I wish it was a little longer but I suppose a good story leaves you wanting a little more. Well written and I look forward to Ms Starr's future tales.
This is an amazing read and my first book by Sophie Starr and it wont be my last. It's very well written and the characters are very well developed. It's fast past read, I felt connected to the characters. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone
Tara does an amazing job at taking a beloved childhood tale and turning it into a sizzling hot erotic story!! If this is the first of her books you read trust me...pick up her others!!
Wasn't expecting this at all but at the end I was really pleased! Another rewrite but not the usual ones and to be honest, one of my favourites! Sexy, sensual, totally overwhelming, this Isobel of the best erotica novels I've ever read!!!! Can't wait to discover more of this author
Loved this naughty adult fairy tale of a book, This was a nice quick read, that made me intrigued enough to read Sinderella. I hope I enjoy that as much as i enjoyed this one
Definitely not the story we loved as kids but so much fun. I laughed at several parts that I'm sure some people found offensive, but I couldn't help it.
Beauty and the best was my favorite fairy tale growing up. I loved the library. I enjoyed this book. Everything flowed nicely together. I was so happy with the ending
I love an adult twist to my fav fairy tales. I believe they are so much better than the orginal version. The author captures the romance and passion the characters may feel. You will be intertained.
