This book was amazing. I really loved Hunter and Ellie together. They were so adorable. I am literally at a loss for words to describe this book. I laughed out loud at some parts of the book and in others I had tears in my eyes.
Hunter was such an amazing character. The way he loves and takes care of both Ellie and ‘sweetpea’ was so cute. He was literally such a green flag. I literally shed tears in the hot tub scene where he talks to ‘sweetpea’. The way he encourages Ellie to keep on sewing and repairs the sewing machine her ex had broken was literally so touching.
Ellie was also such a loveable character. The way she always saw the good in others and took care of them. She was also funny and quirky. I also loved the way they both communicated with each other and did not have many misunderstandings between them.
I also loved the extended family. The way they were always there for each other and how they practically adopted both Ellie and ‘sweetpea’ into their family was so heartwarming. I also loved the bit of suspense in this book. The ending was also just perfect. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

I received a ARC copy of this book from the author and though a review wasn’t required, I wanted to offer my honest, voluntary impression upon finishing it.
This was a warm human feeling book which deals with an abusive ex husband and a friend Ellie has known since childhood who during that time saw his friendship change to love for her but could do nothing about it as she announced her engagement to her then to be husband.
Later her husband’s abusive behavior escalates as she tells him she is pregnant and she leaves him but he refuses to leave her alone. One evening her friend is asked to drop a plate of dinner his mother has made for Ellie and he sees her for the first time since her announcement of her upcoming marriage and he sees the fear she has for her ex in her eyes. After having her come with him he decides to marry her to protect her from her ex and she agrees for the sake of her safety and that of the baby she is carrying but doesn’t understand that he really loves her.
Through the months leading up to the baby’s birth Ellie and Hunter navigate a fake marriage to her but a real one to him as her ex still looms in the picture. With a friend he knew in the military Hunter and his friend work to expose her ex and during this time since she married Hunter she wishes their marriage was real and not fake.
This was a moving story of love disguised as protection and how it took Ellie to finally realize Hunter’s feelings were real when he finally told her after showing her how he felt through her pregnancy and birth of the baby.
I enjoyed this story and how an abused woman finally sees she is loved for real by a man she always only thought of as a friend! I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend this book to all and especially to those who may find themselves in an abusive relationship that they need to find a way to end it. It may not end up as a happily ever after like Ellie here but it will be infinity better than staying and continuing to suffer as you are now.
It’s just sad that this type of behavior exists in marriages but it doesn’t mean you have to endure that abuse forever!

Hunter and Ellie may start off as a fake couple, but they always felt real to me. Their sweetness turned truly swoony when Ellie’s friendly affections began to shift toward something more. I have always been a fan of marriages of convenience and the friends-to-lovers trope, but this story’s execution of both tropes was utter perfection. Hunter is such a steady and supportive presence in Ellie’s life yet he never pushes her beyond what she is comfortable with. He is the embodiment of green flags.
I really enjoyed all of the flashbacks the authors included throughout the book that showcased Hunter and Ellie’s long friendship. With that shared history, they wouldn’t have to work hard to sell the idea that they are together to the community of Starlight Valley. I simply adored how quickly Ellie became a full-fledged part of the Dawson family. The family’s love for her and for her unborn child was genuinely heartwarming. It was hard not to fall in love with the whole Dawson clan and the charming mountain town of Starlight Valley.

Hunter is a soon-to-be ex-marine that is returning to civilian life. Unmarried and very much in love with Ellie, whom he has watched over since they were children on the playground. He thought his chances with Ellie were completely dashed...that is until she returned to their hometown.
We watch as Ellie and Hunter rekindle their bond and feelings start to flourish between the two when Hunter steps in to support Ellie in a way that her ex-husband could never do.

Oh my goodness, this story! To be honest, I haven't read too many books with the 'pregnant, but not his baby' trope in the past, but let me tell you, this one has me fully convinced that it is one I would like to see more of. Pregnancy can be such a vulnerable time so blending that with a touch of danger and a protective military MMC, who is genuinely so in love with not only her but this baby that's not biologically his... it just added another level of tenderness that couldn't get enough of. Seriously, Hunter was a walking green flag, and I just loved the way he was with Ellie. We were given little glimpses of their history together, which only made me root for their happily ever after that much more. There was pining and tenderness... and just the right amount of danger to keep things interesting... and I truly loved it all. This one has me very much looking forward to what will happen next in this series... I can't wait.

Things moved rather quickly in the beginning, but once the story settled in, I was completely invested in Ellie and Hunter’s journey. The FMC (Ellie’s) strength as she rebuilt her life after an abusive marriage was handled with care, and the MMC (Hunter) was the kind of hero who was impossible not to root for.
A sweet, clean romance with just a touch of suspense and emotional depth to keep the pages turning. Starlight Valley is definitely a place I’d love to visit.

What a delightful read! This is my first book by Tiffany or Lindsey I’ve ever read, and I will definitely be revisiting these characters in future books.
Ellie and Hunter were SO sweet. Hunter was just so down bad in the best way, and his protectiveness & endless care for Ellie and her child made him so lovable. You really rooted for them as they fell in love.
Although Ellie had been through so much, she radiated strength and positivity, even when stressed. I understood the pregnancy cravings and mood swings and high and lows all too well. Hunter took them in stride, which we loved to see.
They had wonderful chemistry, and I loved their devotion to one another. The love was strong and adding a baby into the mix only brought them closer together. Such a great thing!!

When Hunter returns home from the Marines, Ellie is pregnant and recently divorced from her abusive ex. After he sees how terrified Ellie is of her ex, Hunter suggests they get married so she can get on his insurance and not have to work in another city. Like I said, Hunter is already in love with Ellie but it takes her longer to figure out what exactly her feelings for him mean.
Hunter is such a green flag - loving, protective, and excited about being a daddy to a baby that isn't biologically his. Ellie is kind and loving, too, and more than ready to meet her baby. She's just trying to figure out what to do with the feelings she has for her hot new husband while dealing with pregnancy hormones and a creepy ex.

I love the flashbacks in the book when they were little all the way to the high school dance . It shows how much he cares for her .
Ellie is pregnant and Hunter steps in with his insurance to take care of her so she doesn’t have to work anymore and so she can make her clothes her passion.
He fixes her sewing machine that her ex husband broke .
Hunter is the ultimate green flag in every way . He protects her and “sweet pea” before she’s born and treats the baby like she’s his own .
I can’t wait for a sequel to this book and I know it will be as good as this one .

This is book 1 in the Love in Starlight Valley series and Hunter has come home after leaving town a decade ago to serve his country.

Ellie had been through a lot, especially with her abusive ex, so I really liked seeing her have someone like Hunter in her corner. He made her feel safe when she needed it most.

When you have tropes like small town, its always been you, marriage of convinience, suspense what do you do? You signed up immediately!!! This books was so good i couldn't get enough. Ellie was trying to make a life after leaving her ex, plus being pregnant did not make it all easy. Hunter has comes into her life again and wanted to make sure she was going to be okay. When I tell you this story gets better and better as the book goes on, this one has romance, suspense, an story much more. Their story is one I will not forget, I had such a good time reading this story i did not wanted to finish. Lindsay and Tiffany always write stories that your heart will love and this one was no exception.

4.5 stars: This is a sweet contemporary romance with a marriage of convenience: the main couple, Hunter and Ellie, grew up together, and he's always had a thing for her but she always thought he saw her as his little sister. Ellie is both pregnant and newly divorced from her abusive ex - and Hunter swoops in to offer her protection and insurance through marriage. I loved getting to see their relationship grow, especially through taking care of their daughter. The small town characters, both the extended family and circle of friends, were very welcoming and accepting, which meant there wasn't much tension; I expected it to be more awkward for them to have a quick marriage. This was really well-written, a romance to root for!

I received a digital ARC of this book. This is the first book of a hopefully long series. Hunter and Ellie have known each other since they were kids. Hunter always knew Ellie was the one for him, but unfortunately she married someone else. Now Hunter is home after 8 years in the Marines and Ellie is no longer married. Could this be their chance? When he finds out she needs protection from her ex, Hunter goes all in. There are trigger warnings for abuse (past tense) so if that is a trigger for you, then you should avoid reading. But just know there is a HEA in there and good wins over evil. I read most of this book in one sitting. I’m already looking forward to book two. With such a big family, I’m hoping this series is a long one.

What a wonderful story! Ellie always treated Hunter like a brother in school. After school Hunter joined the Marines, and tried to get over his feelings for Ellie. Ellie ends up in an abusive relationship with a man that doesn't want a baby, Dylan is abusive but controlling. When Hunters mom sends food home with Hunter to drop off to Ellie, he helps her get out of there and hides her. After the divorce, Dylan is still being a pain in Ellie's side- using the baby as a reason to try to talk to her in spite of the restraining order she has. Hunter is determined to protect ellie and her baby, Hunter offers to marry Ellie in name only but then the lines get blurred. It takes them way too long to make it real.

Let me just tell you about Hunter real quick. He might be the greenest flag I have ever read. This man was so attentive, caring, giving. When I say giving I’m talking acts of service for days y’all. Not only does he know how to treat a woman but he knows how to treat a pregnant woman right. What blew me away the most: she never even needed to ask, he just, DID. This was a really sweet second chance romance, no spice, not his baby, sprinkles of suspense, marriage of convenience story. I can’t wait to read more books in the Starlight Valley world and get to hear more of the characters stories! Thank you so much for allowing me an arc ladies!

I finished this books in under 24 hours. It was that good!!!
I loved promise you the moon. It had just the right balance of hilarious relatable pregnancy humor, suspense from the plot line with the jilted ex, and a swoony marine man whose pining and protective instincts are just *chef’s kiss*
The pacing was fast, but I think it lent itself well to the suspense of the storyline. I loved how they fell in love and how protective our MC was. A beautiful redemptive story!

I received an ARC for this book and I really liked it. The relationship between the MMC and FMC was so sweet and everything I want in a rom-com. I don't want to give any spoilers but I feel in love with Hunter. I could relate to Ellie & found myself nodding along as I was reading. Just be ware that domestic abuse guides the story but it's not the focus of the story. I felt these parts was well written and I wasn't uncomfortable reading it. I highly recommend this book of you want a sweet romance with just a little suspense added to the mix.

What an emotional and beautiful story! I loved Ellie for her bravery and sunshine attitude. Hunter was an amazing person who had obviously loved Ellie since childhood. His unending patience and support was obviously heartfelt. The addition of friends and the warm and loving family enriched their developing relationship as well as helping to protect Ellie from her abusive ex-husband. I loved the book and am looking forward to reading the next one in the series!

This was my first Tiffany Noelle Chacon and Lindsay Rochester book and it was stunning! Hunter may be in my top 10 favorite MMC's! There was something so sweet and pure about his love for Ellie and I loved watching their story unfold.
I also loved the suspense of the book, as well as the very real pregnancy/birth story. I kept flashing back to my own stories for my kiddos and remembering all the things as Ellie was going through them. Seriously, this was such a good book!!

This is a brilliant story! The characters are well developed, and their emotions feel real. The world-building is incredible, and the banter and meddling are hilarious. It blends lots of laugh-out-loud moments with emotional scenes. It is a clean romance with some suspense.

So thankful for the opportunity to be an ARC reader for this book. The characters are so engaging! It feels so real, like my sister and brother-in-law are telling me their story. I read an early version of the book from the authors. I found this to be a very sweet, fun read! Watching both main characters grow, love and support each other was fun, and seeing Hunter step into the role of protective daddy was super sweet!
