Unfortunately, their romantic getaway takes a deadly turn when an evening at an absinthe speakeasy owned by a charismatic fairy ends with a patron dead on the floor. Before the newlyweds can enjoy the haunted courtyards, jazz-filled streets, and magical charm of Bayou Veil, PADA assigns them to investigate the murder. With suspects around every corner, Kara and Zane must untangle a web of lies before the honeymoon is over. Because in Bayou Veil, some spirits are served in a glass...and others are out for blood.

Good
Good series.
When Kara, Zane, Savage, and Nyxie travel to a supernatural town in New Orleans for the newlyweds' honeymoon, everything starts out as Zane had planned. Staying at a beautiful hotel known for their food and their famous taproom. Kara and Zane went sightseeing and a did a little bit of shopping. The couple and their cats were having a wonderful time, together and separately.
But it wouldn't be an adventure if a murder didn't land in their lap.
A must read!

Imagine passing thru a magic veil that takes you to a hidden Bourbon Street in New Orleans! The town itself is magical but that magic intensifies in the supernatural side. Kara and Zane are not alone on their honeymoon, they have brought Savage and Nyxie along for the trip. To say Kara is excited doesn't begin to describe how she feels. The couple is glad to have no PADA cases and are looking forward to going to the famous absinthe bar. Orders are placed and the complex creation takes ten minutes and the tale says if you drink too many you meet the Green Fairy. The first meal there they step in to settle a charge of theft. The waitress has a ring on a chain and a regular guest claims it is her ring. Turns out, she was misinformed, her family ring was not the only one. Now a question as the reader, are they related? That night they go to the Absinthe bar attached to the hotel. In true Kara karma she notices little things that have her taking notice of them. The woman who thought her ring was stolen falls dead after drinking her absinthe. Now, PADA steps in. Our newly weds are on the job. Don't feel too badly because all in all I think they are used to this and they manage to have fun. Jenna St. James never ceases to amaze me with her bottomless well of an imagination!

Death of the Green Fairy is Book 21 in the Kara Hilder Mystery series.
Zane and Kara are on their honeymoon and of to supernatural New Orleans.
They pass through a portal on Bourbon Street and sip into the supernatural New Orleans.
That was so neat!
They have brought along Savage and Nyxie, which I absolutely loved. They were so funny.
They are staying at the Green Fairy Inn, which is so fun. There is an absinthe bar, and it was really neat learning about how absinthe is made. The author did her research!
Unfortunately, there is a murder and Zane and Kara have a murder to solve.
Such a great mystery and wonderful characters. The cats added so much to the story. I loved the setting.
Can't wait for more books in this fantastic series.

Poor Kara and Zane just can't catch a break. They go on their honeymoon and not only does nasty Savage and his lady cat friend tag along, but there is another murder that our favorite PADA couple must work to solve. The location for the honeymoon sounds lovely, a hidden supernatural town near New Orleans. Good mystery kept me hooked. Lots of suspects and even though I guessed the killer, the story kept my interest. Looking forward to their next adventure.

Honeymoon with a Complex Crime
A murder happens while they are on their honeymoon. No rest for this team, interesting suspects, super fun location and food descriptions to make you drool. Good ending and the honeymooners are quite perfect.

A consistently fun series with a good group of characters. A short easy read with a good murder mystery to solve. Even though they are on their honeymoon, Kira and Zane find time to explore a great paranormal town connected to New Orleans. Lots of food and locale descriptions.

Honeymoon in Bayou Bay. Such an exciting place. The Green Fairy Inn and the Oldest Absinthe Bar sound awesome and I'd love to go. A twisted little story that was fun to read!!
