The Winslow Brothers #3

Crazy about Cameron

Rate this book
Crazy about Cameron is the third of four books about the Philadelphia-based, wildly-handsome Winslow brothers who are all on the look-out for love.

(Say what? Not so much...Brooks and Pres are OFF. THE. MARKET, and Chris is so distracted with his campaign, he can't see what - or who - is right under his nose.)

With her stiff posture, black-rimmed glasses and chestnut waves in a tight bun, Cameron Winslow’s downstairs neighbor, Margaret Story, has long been the unaware star of his filthiest dirty-librarian fantasies. But with a floundering business eating up all his time, Cam doesn’t have the open road he’d need to date a lady like Margaret.

Margaret, who grew up down the road from Cameron, has always thought of him as a cross between a bully and a tease, as likely to pull her braids as pull her leg. But he’s grown up to be a smokin’ hot businessman, and Margaret can't help daydreaming about what it would feel like to be under, um, with someone like him.

When hot-headed Cameron and buttoned-up Margaret start using the same shady contractor for apartment renovations, Margaret may find herself in some unexpected trouble, which forces long-hidden feelings to come out of hiding...and might just make way for two unlikely fantasies to finally come true.

Return to the world created in the English Brothers books with this fresh foursome of scorching hot Winslow Brothers!

Reading this book reminds me how far I come in my romance reading journey. Over time, I think I had become a shallow, jaded bitch. I found myself needing instant gratification! I don't like suffering through half the book with sexual tension only to have them do the deed so late in the book. Yeah, I totally sound like a loose woman.

This book is a fun and endearing read. Cameron Winslow and Margaret Story are the upper echelon of Philly. He was the boy who used to pull her pigtails and annoyed her to no ends. Until this day, when they end up living in the same apartment building, he's still giving her the cold shoulder. What non of them realize is they are the star of each other dirty fantasy.

A chance to use the same contractor to fix a bathroom that doesn't need to be fix, Cameron decided to engage with Margaret to co-share a contractor, in order to just see her more. Ain't he cute. Anyway, it seems like nothing get done in the renovation part.

Margaret is the girl who is trying so hard to win her daddy affection. But all that man can think of is why he end up with five girls instead of a son. Misogynist, much? When Margaret finally had enough and decided to work on her dream of having her own vineyard, she found a special kind of closeness with Cameron.

Oh, Cameron. He's such a perfect gentleman. Can I just say the sexual tension here is driving me loco and Cameron need to do something about it stat! His love for his sister, Jessica was bound to melt your heart. But honestly, Jessica gets on my nerve with her whining. Who cares for big wedding, well apparently the upper echelon does. And Cameron is moving heaven and earth to make it come true for her.

There is a hint of danger and suspense towards the end in regards to Margaret's vineyard got broken into. I like the extra layer of mystery we have here, but it was quite easily resolve.

So far, I'm enjoying this Winslow Brothers series, is the kind of perfect afternoon read that doesn't hurt your head, guarantee you a sweet ending and whole lot of swoon.

Book three in the Winslow brothers series has been my favourite so far! Usually I'm too impatient for slow burning romances; but Katy Regnery did a wonderful job of simmering the couples passion! When they finally did give into it, they had major fireworks and I couldn't look away!

Next up is Christopher and his campaign that is about to be underway!!!

Miss Regnery is one of my favorite author. Breaking Up with Barret had peak my interest to continue this series. Crazy about Cameron is... disappointment.

The characters are 1 dimensional. No significant character development/ plot/ twist that makes this story interesting. I even fall asleep listening to the audiobook.

A heartwarming, sweet, and sexy read that will have you Crazy About Cameron!!! So sit back, grab a glass of wine, and prepare to fall head over heels with the sweet and charming Cameron Winslow. Crazy About Cameron is a story of two childhood friends who are crazy about each other but never had the right timing in expressing their feelings about one another. Well, when they finally were at a place in their life, they finally couldn't just sit back any longer and watch their chance at love to slip away. So can Cameron and Margaret make their relationship work even though they have family expectations to live up to? Is their crazy love for each other enough?

#CrazyAboutCameron1

Crazy About Cameron is definitely your feel good love story that had a case of minor drama inserted into the story line. The story was well-written that flowed at a great pace. What I enjoy about this book was that this book could be read as a standalone since the author wrote it in a way that the story solely focused on Cameron and Margaret. So if you are looking for a book that reminds us all to take a chance on life and love then Crazy About Cameron is the book for you.

And we have another happy sigh read from Ms. Regnery.

Crazy for Cameron was just as sweet, fun and engaging as Proposing to Preston, my very first book by this author, but with much less angst and instead of sniffling, I found myself chuckling more often than not as Cameron and Margaret navigated their way towards their happily ever after.

It was very difficult to not like both Cameron and Margaret. They are both genuinely nice and good people who live relatively normal lives and are both dealing with the knowledge that their lives aren’t exactly what they want them to be but attempting to stick it in order to appease others, at least until they find themselves using the same contractor for a project, then things start to get interesting.

Cameron and Margaret have an interesting relationship. They grew up together on Blueberry Lane, but they aren’t friends, nor are they exactly enemies. They occupy that weird middle ground where they’re attracted to each other but because neither can figure out just how to approach the other about it they keep a polite distance from each other. Well, Margaret does. Cameron becomes surly and picks on Margaret, but when they finally decide to act on their feelings it was a fun ride. It really was fun and sweet to watch as they stumbled through, and past, their preconceived notions of the other to find that their attraction was mutual, and burned quite hot, as well as the fact that they genuinely like who the other is.

While this one had much less angst than the previous book in the series, but it did have something of a mystery/suspense storyline to it and though I understood it’s purpose in the story, it didn’t really interest me all that much because everything else that was going on in the story overshadowed it for me. Outside of their budding romance, both Cameron’s and Margaret’s families add their own special brand of fun and issues to the table, especially Margaret’s father who I want to throttle. And then there is the winery and being a huge fan of the nectar of the Gods I really enjoyed how that played into the story. So there is a lot going on, but it all works to give depth to the story and show why Cam and Meggie are meant to be together

The Bottom Line: This was another fun, sweet and quick read and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with Christopher, the last Winslow brother standing.

I was pretty touched by this story. It was good to see the intermingling of families on Blueberry Lane, and loved the direction Margaret's life started to take when she was free of her father's shackles. I liked how Cameron wanted Margaret, even as a child. The romance was sweet, and the story was a quick and easy read. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

I just want to let go with tears of happiness and joy. I loved Cam and Meggie's story immensely. My full review to follow.

5++ Stars – Another Outstanding Success for Katy Regnery

As I tapped my finger on my iPad and absorbed the final words of Crazy About Cameron, all I could do is exhale a huge sigh, my eyes glistening and my heart filled with happiness and joy for the beautiful love story once again given to us by Katy Regnery in her latest installment to the Winslow Brothers series. To be honest, I am beginning to feel a little fickle and indecisive because with every addition to The Blueberry Lane tales of love, I fall head over heels for the new leading man and Cameron Winslow in no exception.

Cameron and Margaret have known each other since they were children. Cameron has forever felt an attraction to Margaret although has always chosen to keep his feelings hidden behind his incessant teasing both when they were children as well as now that they are adults. Margaret grew up feeling a draw to Cameron as well but never understood why he always teased her and seemed to dislike her so much. Now 20 years later, they find themselves living in the same building continuing in the same vein. Although Cameron’s ever present attraction is becoming more difficult for him to ignore, with his time absorbed with the running of his father’s overwhelming business, he knows Margaret deserves more than only part of his time. But when his sister’s wedding venue is suddenly unavailable, he beseeches Margaret’s help which leads to spending more time together. As they both start to open their lives, dreams and hearts to one another, they begin to divulge their attraction to each other as well and unveil the possibility of a path and a future filled with an everlasting love that they could share together.

Cam and Meggie’s chemistry throughout this entire story absolutely drips from the pages. Despite his intensive attraction to her, Cam’s unrelenting concern for doing the right thing for Meggie and never taking advantage makes him noble, honorable and just positively wonderful. Cam is one of the dreamiest and most amazing characters, and let’s face it, it doesn’t hurt that he is sexy and hot as well. The unrelenting love that develops between Cam and Meggie has pushed Crazy About Cameron to the top of my favorites, well that is for the moment.

Because I have come to the realization upon finishing Crazy About Cameron, that there is absolutely no way for me to pick a favorite book or “hero” from this series. From its inception, beginning with The English Brothers and now moving through the Winslow family, I must conclude that they are ALL my favorites. Each couple filling my heart with bliss and even now as I sit here writing my review I cannot help but smile thinking back on each of these sweet and infectious love stories which brings forth a new insight into all of these wonderful characters, one amazing novel after the other.

Katy Regnery has continued to touch my heart and my life through all of her outstanding novels and unrelentingly continues with each and every addition to her repertoire of amazing love stories.

Meet Cameron Winslow. He’s the hothead Winslow brother, the impulsive one. He’s that boy you knew who only knew how to let girls know he liked them by teasing them mercilessly. He’s all grown up now, but he still struggles with how to manage the decades-old crush he’s had on staid, buttoned-down upstairs neighbor and childhood friend, Margaret (Meggie) Story.

Meggie has always been completely confounded by why Cameron doesn’t like her. Despite the fact that he has treated her rather rudely over the years, she’s never been able to train her heart to follow her brain’s instruction. Thus, Meggie has nursed a crush of her own (on Cameron, of course), for years.

When the two hire the same shady contractor to work on their homes, it gives them an opportunity to glimpse behind the curtains and let each other in—tentatively, at first, though things escalate quickly from there.

Despite all the reasons it shouldn’t work, the two find a deep, powerful connection with each other. There is an intense physical attraction (they have each long been the source of the others hottest fantasies, after all), but it goes far deeper than that. They are tender, protective, and sweet. They are also…naughty. Surprisingly naughty! Delightfully naughty! Deliciously naughty! I spent a good portion of the book with my eyebrows raised, giggling breathily, because oh my—this Winslow brother has kicked things up a notch!

Sometimes, when you read the same genre, or the same author, over and over again, things become stale. Stories can become formulaic, predictable and well, boring. Somehow (*cough* voodoo magic *cough*) that NEVER, EVER happens with Katy Regnery’s books. Each new series, and each new brother, sister, or cousin within the series is fresh, breathtaking, and heartwarming. Every. Single. Time. Cameron and Margaret are no exception. Their story is sexy and flirty and fun. It’s deeply emotional without being angsty. There were moments that literally took my breath away, they were so beautifully written.

Each of these books feels a little like a gift; an escape into this magical, deeply romantic world that unfailingly leaves my heart full and happy. You can read Cameron and Meggie’s story without reading any of the previous ones—it stands alone just fine—but I promise you that your heart will become addicted to the feeling, and you’ll just want to read them all anyway. So, what are you waiting for? Make your heart happy! ~ Shelly, 5 stars

This is your classic contemporary romance. Large, rich family? Check (a couple of them!) Parent/Child discord? Check! Boy and girl who have been secretly in love with each other since childhood? Check!
I had a little trouble connecting to the characters because they have more money that I can even imagine, but they weren't assholes about it. Margaret is likable; she is a sweet girl who wants so desperately to have her fathers love. Her father is a giant narcissist and treats her terribly. I am glad that Shane was at least kind to her about everything that went down. I thought that Cameron and Meggie's relationship was natural and well paced. I enjoyed watching them both discover their lives passion. There is a little bit of suspense but it was fairly predictable so I wouldn't call it suspense at all. If you like Jude Deveroux and Judith McNaught you will love Katy Regnery. This is the first book of hers i have read but it won't be the last for sure! These are the type of books you love to escape with!

Another hit on Blueberry Lane. Cameron and Meggie's story is hawwt. There is passion, frustrating moments, playfulness and depth, so much heart in both their lives. The chemistry is sizzling, the love moving, there is nothing half measured about their relationship.
There is plenty of swooning, delicious day dreaming, a little violence ending in a hot, angry hero caring for and protecting the heroine like a tiger.
The story tells us that no matter what the struggles, pains you have going on in life you have to take a moment out to know and find out what makes you happy and do that; the rest can be managed and cleared with time.
Another delicious read from Katy. I loved it and enjoyed reading it thoroughly.

Favorite Quotes:

“When I come for you, there’ll be no half measures, Meggie. When I come for you, I’ll be coming with everything I’ve got.”

“You make me feel new.”

My Review:

Katy Regnery writes adorable love stories with an edge, an edge I really happen to like. Her stories are always well-written, easy to follow, delectably steamy, and unfailingly entertaining. I enjoy her interconnected stories as well as her easily identifiable characters and the crisp and humorous dialogs between them. I seem to have fallen in lust/love with every single one of her multi-talented leading men as I read each new installment. I fear I have become hopelessly addicted.

I found this story to be sexy and romantic. Crazy About Cameron tells the story of two people who has loved each other since they were children. However tragic circumstances would prevent them from exploring their feelings for each other. Fast forward several years later we see the two reconnecting, which provided them with a second chance to explore their attraction to each other. Will Margaret and Cameron cease this opportunity or will they allow outside influences prevent them from being together.

The sexual tension between Margaret and Cameron was so intense that it leapt off the pages.  Cameron has been entertaining naughty fantasies about Margaret which she had any idea about would make her blush.

Margaret and Cameron are from wealthy, but this was where their similarities ended. Cameron was from a loving and caring family while Margaret spent most of her life trying to win her father’s love and approval. The way that man treated his daughters was a clear indication that he was a male chauvinist. Each time he made an appearance I wanted to knock his lights out.

Cameron was the type of guy most women dream about having in their lives. He was overwhelmed with running the business that his father left him as such he was not keen on getting involved in a committed relationship.   He feared that if he should get involved with Margaret she would end up getting hurt as he would not be able to give her his undivided attention.  As such he was willing to sacrifice his happiness if it meant protecting Maragret. He is the type of guy who loves with every fibre of his being. They brought out the best in each other which made them perfect together. I could not help but root for them.

Aside from the romance between Margaret’s and Cameron’s there were other events taking place. This event would end up placing Margaret in danger. This added some amount of intrigue to the story.

The story was well written, the pacing was just right and there was never a dull moment.  It held my interest from start to finish which made it difficult for me to put it down.  It is my opinion that this title, which can be read as a stand-alone,  is a great addition to the Winslow Brothers series. I will be eagerly awaiting the next book in the series as I am curious to know what next the author has in store for her readers.

Crazy About Cameron is the third book in The Winslow Brothers (The Blueberry Lane) series and is another amazingly romantic love story from author Katy Regnery. With each new book I fall more in love with this series and wish I lived on Blueberry Lane. Crazy About Cameron is a must read for all adult romance fans!

I am a huge fan of author Katy Regnery so it came as no surprise that I loved this book. Crazy About Cameron is the love story of Cameron and Margaret. Cameron and Margaret have known each other since they were kids. Their families are neighbors on Blueberry Lane and as children most of their time was spent teasing each other. The teasing continues as adults, hiding the attraction they feel for each other and afraid to admit. The scenes with Cameron and Margaret are fun and flirtatious. But there is also a strong connection between Cameron and Margaret. They both have always done what is right for their families. They both understand how it feels to give up their dreams to make their family happy. But together Cameron and Margaret find the support and encouragement to finally do what would truly make them happy. Cameron and Margaret are a perfect fit and soulmates.

I have read all of Katy Regnery’s books and I am running out of new things to say about her. I will repeat what I’ve said in all my reviews of her books: Katy Regnery's writing and creativity continues to flourish with each book. The heat of the passion increases but continues to emphasize the love between her characters. That's what I love about this author. I know that I will be entertained with the right amount of drama and passion that keeps me coming back for more.

Cameron and Margaret’s love story is a sweet and steamy romance. Crazy About Cameron is a short read and a quick way to add some romance to your day.

Crazy About Cameron is the one of the best romance books. Not only does Katy Regnery come up with the best characters, she makes you believe in their love. Margaret Story and Cameron Winslow grew up as neighbors along with the other kids on Blueberry Lane. After Cameron’s father died and Cameron was forced to live in England, he always wondered about her. When he came back to Philadelphia, she was in Europe finishing school.

Margaret always felt Cameron tortured her when they were young by pulling her braids and calling her Meggie. Now Margaret is all grown up and is working for her father. (BTW a man I cannot stand.) Her father is constantly on her case because she is a female. She feels stuck in her job when all she wants to do is to grow grapes and make wine.

Cameron is left running his father’s business alone, after his brother went into politics. Cameron is struggling to keep everything going but is feeling overwhelmed and strained to the breaking point. He wants something new, but he doesn’t know what.

They meet back in the city and found that they live in the same building on different floors. Suddenly they are in each other’s presence and trying to avoid each other for various reasons, not just because Cameron is rude to her.

I was cheering them on happy with every step they took toward their shared destiny. I love these characters, they don’t just suddenly meet and fall in love, but they have had unrequited feeling for the other for a long time. I love how they were willing to be vulnerable with their feelings to be with each other.

Katy is one of my favorite authors and I always love her books, but this one really was special for me. I need to give the book six stars! I love this book!

I did receive this book from Net Galley in return for an honest review.

Where do you even begin to write a review for this book but by using the words Amazing, Heartwarming, Fantastic and you can go on and on.
We meet Cameron Winslow part owner of
C&C Winslow a company started by his father which he was running with his brother up until recently but with his brother leaving it leaves him with all the responsibility and one he really doesn't care
For anymore. Having no life of his own and always having to run into his childhood crush on a daily basis has Cameron on edge.
Margaret Story who works for her families company but with a father who shows her no respect she has her sights set on her one passion and that is her winery.
Another cross to bear in Margaret's life his having her childhood crush Cameron Winslow living only a floor above her.
When Cameron and "Meggie" continue to bump into each other the chemistry you feel coming off the pages is explosive with the other not knowing how each of them feels you are cheering for them to be together the way they probably always should have been and it has taken a lifetime to get to this point. There are many obstacles that Cameron & Margaret have to overcome to get to their happy ending but something's are worth the wait.
If you are looking for a series not only a book that will leave you with a smile on your face this is the one you won't want to miss.

This is book 3 in the Winslow Brothers Series, but the first that I have read! Luckily, they can be read as standalones! But... I am intrigued by this family and want to read them all now!

Crazy About Cameron is a light and quick read.
Margaret and Cameron are childhood friends enemies frenemies!
Their families and friends grew up together, until the unexpected happened and Cameron and his family moved away.
Now as adults, as their paths cross once again, lingering feelings arise. They actually never went away! Elevator fantasies come in to play. Daydreams of what could have been interrupt their lives!

Lucky for them, and us.. this is not an angst filled read. These characters are no nonsense grown ups. They know what they want and say how they feel!
Sexting has never been hotter!!
This is a refreshing, no games, steamy story! Add in a touch of mystery and you've got yourself an easy going and hot romantic read!

Once again Katy has hand delivered us a beautiful, I can not put down book. She also delivered us a swoon worthy man, Cameron. Seriously how can you not like Cameron.

What I love most about this book that it was not a instant love romance, this was a love from afar romance. It was a love that was decades old. Margaret was such a well written character, very little drama and despite family circumstances she was just as lovely as can be. I loved reading about her dreams and loved watching them unfold.

Cameron... He is loyal..I think that is a quality I like most in my leading men, he takes care of what is his. He is definitely a protector. I enjoyed watching Margaret and Cameron's relationship. I really enjoyed how the were open and honest and there was not a lot hiding. They said what they wanted and there was not a lot a back and forward drama, which made this book such a light enjoyable read.

This book was so good, I loved seeing old characters, I like the hint of suspense and drama (that was outside of the relationship). This was such an entertaining book.. I can not wait for the next. Katy hit it out of the park with this one.

I was given an ARC for my honest review of this book.... That being said, this book is phenomenal!! Cameron Winslow is my favorite Winslow brother! Love happens when you're least ready for it! Whether you're 13 with a crush on your cute neighbor or when your 29 and life is messy! Cameron & Margaret have a very superficial relationship until life gets in the way and complicates things! Cam & Meggie have to decide if they should wait for everything to fall perfectly into place or if they should take the biggest leap of their lives and jump right in to love together! I love how complex their relationship is with each other and their family members! Trying to resolve their feelings for each other while dealing with the complications family make this a heartfelt story of resilience and love! I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants an authentic love story with characters that you want to laugh with, cry with, and sometimes yell at! Katy has done it again! Another wonderful Winslow brother from Blueberry Lane!! Xoxo

LOVED LOVED LOVED this book. If you're looking for a great series, get Blueberry Lane read!!! Cameron and his long standing crush Margaret (his Meggie) discover their way to each other, and deal with some difficult life choices that draw them even closer together. Everyone should hopefully know this kind of love and devotion, and nobody should ever have the experience that Meggie has with her father....Karma will get him!! I loved the Englishes (the Winslow's neighbors on Blueberry Lane), and I loved the other Winslow brothers....and I don't know how she does it, but Katy gets me to love the "newest" brother every time when I read the new books!!!

Katy Regnery you have done it again! The Blueberry Lane hits just keep on comin'. Cameron Winslow and Margaret Story's love tale is just perfect. These two characters grew up together, have been wildly crazy about each other since before either of them can remember. How they get to be together is just the sweetest story yet! I love Katy Regnery's books...all of them, but I am especially fond of the Blueberry Lane books. These characters and all of their love stories are all beautifully written. Katy you truly have a gift...I can't wait to see what happens next!

Cameron may be a broody man but he's kind and considerate, “I told you that when I came for you, there would be no half measures. Well , here I am. I want to be with you, baby. Is that what you want too?” Meggie sometimes has to go to extremes to get her man to listen, “of course I’m in love with you, you idiot! I’m not on birth control!” I liked this book, and the series. The Winslow boys know what they want and go after it.

REVIEW:  CRAZY ABOUT CAMERON (THE WINSLOW BROTHERS #3)

Crazy about Cameron by Katy RegneryMy rating: 5 of 5 starsCrazy about Cameron is less serious and more fun than the previous two books in the Winslow Brothers series. Cameron Loves pushing Margaret's buttons. Whatever gets her to notice him. Margaret considers Cameron to be a nuisance that has terrorized her for as long they have known each other. As she gets older she learns not to take him too seriously. That proves to be her biggest mistake. I liked Cameron. His comedic, easygoing personality covers a well of deep feelings and a heart that seems more fragile than one would expect. Margaret is less confident than she presents and her outer personality proves her protection against her inner anxieties. I received an ARC of Crazy about Cameron in exchange for an honest review. I have read every book in the Winslow series so far. Ms. Regnery's ability to attract readers to her complex characters and poignant stories is why I am a huge fan. I look forward to reading every new release and revisiting prior stories. The personalities of her characters mixed with the combination of her writing style are mesmerizing to behold. One of my favorite authors .View all my reviews

BOOK 1:  BIDDING ON BROOKS

SYNOPSIS

Bidding on Brooks is the first of four books about the Philadelphia-based, wildly-handsome Winslow brothers who are all on the look-out for love. (Except Preston. He's been down that road before and still has the scars to prove it. And maybe Cameron, because he's super hot, but too hot-headed to be decent boyfriend material...) Railroaded into a bachelor auction by his sister, Jessica, Brooks Winslow asks his friend, Skye Sorenson, to bid on him to avoid the possibility of any romantic entanglements. Fiercely competitive and protective of those he cares for, Brooks was profoundly affected by the loss of his father at an early age. A witness to his mother's terrible loneliness and his siblings' grief, the ex-Olympian has never allowed himself to fall in love. Skye Sorenson, the plucky mechanic at Sorenson Marina, where Brooks moors his three sailboats, is a credible sailor in her own right...and has quietly lusted after Brooks for years. But her longstanding friendship with Brooks has always made romance seem impossible. When Skye agrees to bid on Brooks, the two cast off for a weeklong ocean adventure on Brooks' sailboat, The Zephyr, where the last thing Skye expects to lose is her heart. REVIEW:  BIDDING ON BROOKS (THE WINSLOW BROTHERS #1)
BY KATY REGNERY

Bidding on Brooks by Katy RegneryMy rating: 5 of 5 starsWhat’s not to like about Bidding on Brooks by: Katy Regnery? From the first page I was drawn into Brooks and Skye’s adorable dance. Each had fears about falling in love. When they finally discover that maybe they could explore being more than friends-I was so excited for them. Despite the obstacles that kept popping up along the way I wanted them to face their demons and succeed. The auction scenario was hilariously entertaining. I loved the character of Clay, he was just over the top enough to make him believable. Katy Regnery captured my heart with Brooks and Skye’s journey to love in Bidding on Brooks. Am waiting eagerly for the next book in the series. Received an ARC for an honest review.View all my reviews

BOOK 2:  PROPOSING TO PRESTON

SYNOPSIS

Proposing to Preston is the second of four books about the Philadelphia-based, wildly-handsome Winslow brothers who are all on the look-out for love. (Except Brooks... he's probably sailing around the world with Skye by now. And Cameron, who's having too much fun sparring with Margaret to think about love. And Christopher, who's only on the look-out for a congressional seat and absolutely. nothing. else.) Preston Winslow has a heart as open as the sky and room in his life for someone special. When he falls in love with Broadway actress, Elise Klassan, he holds nothing back. Elise, who has made tremendous sacrifices to forward her career, is swept off her feet by handsome, charming Preston...but the stage has been her first love for so many years, she doesn't know if there's room for Preston in her life. When the day comes that she must choose between her ambition and her heart, she profoundly hurts the one man who could have made her happy. Two years later, Elise has become a world-famous actress and Preston is a very successful lawyer. But fame has not equaled happiness for Elise, and Preston is much too bitter and cynical to ever consider falling in love again. Is it possible that the only person who can mend Preston's heart is the one who originally broke it? Only if Elise can figure out a way to make him believe in love all over again.

REVIEW: PROPOSING TO PRESTON (THE WINSLOW BROTHERS #2)
BY KATY REGNERY

Proposing to Preston by Katy RegneryMy rating: 5 of 5 starsPreston and Elise were perfection together. The soul deep connection and magnetic chemistry were beautiful to behold. Katy Regnery did a wonderful job of letting the characters become friends and slowly build up to something more. The slow progression into love is what made it so heartbreaking when these two people were apart. Elise was definitely a go-getter when it came to following her dreams and that tenacity was a central part of her character. Preston led with his heart and that is what made me his biggest fan. Proposing to Preston is really something special. Each time I read a Katy Regnery book I grow more fond of her as a writer. (audiobook) My favorite of the series so far! The little suspense element brought some excitement, and I felt this one was especially sexy. All good points.

The main theme was changing one’s life, with Cameron unwilling to keep his dead father’s business and Margaret aspiring to a life outside her disconnected family. The contrast between both family was interesting–Cameron’s is really supportive, while Margaret’s mostly doesn’t care, and her father is downright hostile.

The sparks were amazing between them each time they met. While their relationship changed, the anger or irritation became desire and heat. It was so sexy!

I enjoyed seeing the other Winslow brothers–and their sister–especially since all the books in the series happen more or less at the same time.

I felt the narrator did a better job here than in the other books. Maybe her pace and voice sounded better for Margaret and Cameron’s story.

If you should read only one book in the series, it should be this one!

Quickie

- Series: Blueberry Lane #10 – The Winslow brothers #3 (can be read as a standalone)
- Hashtags: #enemies to lovers #suspense #childhood friends
- Triggers: mild violence
- Main couple: Margaret Story & Cameron Winslow
- Hotness: 5/5
- Romance: 4/5
- + the little suspense in the story was exciting
- – co-mmu-ni-ca-tion guys, with family and friends

This is the third story of the Winslow Brothers series, featuring serious workaholic Cameron and his longtime childhood crush Margaret. Their families grew up together on Blueberry Lane, but family circumstances separated them, though as luck would have it, they both now have apartments in the same building in Philadelphia while Margaret works at her father's company and Cameron is trying to keep his deceased father's business going. Their relationship has never been easy - antagonistic usually, though this was just a mask for the deeper feelings they had for each other. As they slowly start to realize that perhaps things between them aren't so straightforward after all, can they find a way to put aside those childhood feelings and enter into a deep and meaningful relationship?

I really enjoyed this story, and having read previous ones in this series and the English Brothers books as well, it was neat to see the little plot tie-ins and the overlapping storylines. That isn't to say that this doesn't read well as a standalone, because it does, but it just goes to show what a well developed writer the author is and her ability to intertwine the lives of all of these people in delightful ways. Margaret and Cameron have shown up in little cameos in other stories, but this one takes what you know about the characters and delves deeper into them. The story is told from both points of view, and it's clear from the start that each has had a hidden crush on the other, only revealed now when Cameron finally gives a hint that his antagonistic feelings towards Margaret's current boyfriend (not in the picture for long) might be because he wants the opportunity to be with Margaret himself. There is a definite attraction between the two of them which is finally realized in some delicious love scenes (including a super steamy sexting session!). More importantly though, they finally reveal to each other the truth of their feelings, both being bold enough to come forward and admit that they want a future together.

Margaret's character is one of a friendly, very put together, conscientious and hardworking business woman. She has some cracks in her facade where her father is concerned, a cold hard and unfeeling man, but with Cameron's support she gets herself out of the things that have been dragging her down and is able to focus full time on her love for wine. She's started a winery and is determined to make it a success. I loved seeing her realize her dreams and overcome the negative impact her father has had on her life. Cameron comes across as hardworking and overtired at the start, but once he makes some key business decisions, the lightening of the stress on him is easy to see and he is much cheerier and happy as a result. They bring out the best in each other, Margaret helping Cameron unwind and Cameron supporting Margaret's visions for her vineyard. There is some small drama that takes place in the second half of the story, external to their burgeoning relationship, that adds some tension into the mix, but the overall mood of the story is fairly light and quite romantic. It was a charming story and a great addition to the series. 4.5 stars.

I didn't think anything could compete with my English Boys, especially my main squeeze, Stratton, but Cameron did what I thought was impossible. He made me forget about them. I read this book cover to cover in three hours. I couldn't put it down, I didn't want a break. I just wanted to stay lost in Cameron and Margaret's story.

"I notice that you don't say hello. I noticed that you wish you were anywhere but trapped in an elevator with me making small talk. I notice that, although you know how much I hate the nickname Meggie, you never miss an opportunity to use it."

Cameron started out being a jerk (my favorite), but you quickly realized why he was this way. He has been hopelessly and irrevocably in love with Margaret Story since he was thirteen. Unfortunately for Cameron, his life was currently a mess, and he wanted to be able to give his all to Margaret, and that just didn't seem possible.

"Margaret Story was the unaware star of Cameron's filthiest naughty-librarian fantasies.
Always had been. Always would be."

Margaret wondered where she went wrong with the boy who used to pull her pigtails when they were kids, but as much as she wanted to know, she needed focus; focus on her job, her apartment and her up and coming winery. Sadly (or maybe not so), Cameron never failed to shift her focus to him, and their verbal foreplay was the star of this book.

Crazy About Cameron brought more emotion than I felt in the past from Regney's stories. My heart broke time and time again for Margaret and the relationship she had with her father. You understood her need to please him, and you just want to smack him around when he treated her like trash. You felt deeply for Cameron and the difficult decisions he faced with his father's company. Both Cameron and Margaret had to either spend their lives pleasing others, or learn to make themselves happy.

By 4% in the book, I had already highlighted 7 passages. That is how outstanding Regney's writing is. She uses the same words as everyone else, but somehow puts a stunning twist on them. You would think that her stories about privileged kids, who grow up to be privileged adults in an exclusive section of Philadelphia would grow tired and repetitive, but each addition to the Blueberry Lane series brings a fresh and new storyline. We get to visit with some of our favorite couples while moving the stories forward. The chemistry between Margaret and Cameron is hot, hot, HOT!! Just wait until you get to the sexting scene. DAMN!

I am going to be thinking about this one for a long time. It's just simply a timeless love story. Every single word and moment felt authentic and simply stunning. I read it cover to cover in 3 hours and it was absolute perfection! There is not one thing I didn't like or would change about the story. I hesitate to say Cameron might replace Stratton, but this is hands down, Regney's best book yet. I absorbed every single word like it was the last drop of water on earth.

I love how much heart this story has. Meggie was great but Cameron was really amazing.

Full review below.

Disclaimer: I received an eARC of this book from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review. Yes, these are my honest and personal thoughts on this book.

Why did I want to read it?

I’m always intrigued by stories where the guy is with an unrequited love type of situation. It’s always interesting to hear their ‘voices’. And this book’s set-up really did hold promise when I first read the blurb.

What worked for me?

Just to echo what I said above, I always enjoy reading about characters having hidden crushes or feelings with each other, with the other person none the wiser, hidden beneath a veneer of indifference and sometimes even a little angst because, Tension!

I also appreciated it whenever Cam and Meggie would become introspective. They acknowledge all the feelings, even if to themselves alone, all these feelings they have inside.

I also love how the relationship between Cam and Meggie transitioned. Some might find it a bit sudden or fast, maybe. But for me, this doesn’t feel like that at all. What it felt like was that it had been a long time coming for these two, like they’ve been circling each other’s lives for a long time even when they don’t even see each other. Simply put, the connection has always been there.

I feel for Meggie when it came to her conflict with her father, who’s a special kind of jerk if you ask me. But I love how she rediscovers herself in all these.

But my favorite part about this book is definitely Cam! I just love how earnest and steadfast Cam is. As he would repeatedly say, he doesn’t do half-measures in his life. And it shows in every aspect. I can’t describe him well enough. I don’t think I did him justice here. You just have to read about him in this book to experience the whole Cam effect.

What did not work for me?

There were just a couple of minor details in the book that rubbed me a little the wrong way. For instance, and without getting into anything spoiler-y, there was, for me, a bit of typecasting of certain people and out-of-character responses from the characters that made the story feel uneven to me.

My over-all take on it?

If for anything, you’ve got to read this for Cameron. He is such a sweetheart! This is my first Kate Regnery book and I have to say that I am loving her writing style. I love that while this book has its sexy moments, it also has a lot of heart. This was really an enjoyable read.

5+++ stars -- can I give it a 10 please?

Holy Hotness, damn! Ms. Regnery knows how to get the reader all tied up in knots.

Wait a minute, you probably want to know a little about the story before I gush, right? Crazy About Cameron is about Cameron Winslow, a man who is stuck in his father's legacy, but trying to forge his own path through life. Margaret "Meggie" Story is a heroine with a heart as pure and beautiful as it gets. She's the daughter of a patriarch who was saddled with 5 daughters when all he wanted was a son. Margaret has spent her life trying to win her father's affections, despite repeatedly being disappointed.

Cameron and Margaret have been friends since childhood, with Cameron being secretly in love with her the whole time, while Margaret was obliviously unaware. Family situations and schooling have kept the two apart for many years, but they are reunited and the sparks, they are a flyin'!

I like to avoid spoilers when I review books because I think the best part of reading books is the surprise of discovering the story for yourself.

However, I can promise you that when you read this book, you are in for an amazing treat. Ms. Regnery's writing makes you turn pages quickly. Once I picked up the story I could not put it down. Life and plans got in my way, but I needed to know what happened between these two, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I found myself picking up my Kindle while waiting at stoplights, sitting in parking lots, and even in the middle of the night. I literally fell asleep, woke up at 4am and needed to read 3 chapters before finishing my night's rest. I was dreaming about this book... it was just that fantastic.

It had warmth, sincerity, joy, a touch of suspense, and a whole lot of steam...

There were certain scenes I read in public, that I had to keep myself from blushing, because they were just that steamy. I'm fanning myself just thinking about it. Katy... you are one epic storyteller. Whoa, is all I can say.

This was the first book I have read in the The Blueberry Lane series. It is part of a series, but it can be read and devoured, I mean... enjoyed, as a standalone.

I loved this book and you will too... hurry up and buy it right away!

Oh, Cameron! I knew I was going to be super pleased to get his story. From the previous books and in his brief appearances, it was obvious that he was the more passionate of the Winslow siblings. He lives in the moment and doesn't do anything half way; which is his approach when it comes to Margaret.

Margaret is one of five sisters and has lived her life trying to be the child her father could be proud of. Working hard to seek his approval and obtain any kind of affection from him. And that means, she's living a life that she's not happy with.

But secretly, Cameron and Margaret have been crushing on each other since childhood and when Cameron decides it's time to "go for it"...it's full steam ahead. They both share a passion for each other that could start a wild fire in an instant. Life long fantasies and years of longing come to fruition with these two and it's a story that I just absolutely loved.

What I love about the characters in the series is that the environment is so much different from the other books I read. The characters are from very wealthy families, they have these boisterous lives in high society. The females aren't in poverty when a billionaire swoops in to save their lives. They men aren't running from the law or hiding from a past criminal life. They're well respected members of the community with independent lives that happen to find their soulmate in the girl/guy they knew as a teen or from a beautiful woman that just moved to town. It's a complete opposite from the victim/savior romances that I read so often; which is why this series is one of my favorites. I look forward to each story as an escape and a breath of fresh air.

As always, a story from Katy Regnery does not disappoint. Her eloquent writing brings the story to life every time I read her work. I can equate the experience to watching a heartwarming romance on The Hallmark Channel. Her way with words and the characters she creates have away of giving me the perfect visual as I read... And that's pretty hard to do. I live to read and read VERY often, but it's always difficult for me to picture the characters or the scene that's playing out among the pages. Katy Regnery just has a knack of making her writing into an art form that can actually put me into the story and see it all happen before me.

5 CRAZY stars.

I am crazy about Cameron!

I thought the the sweetness was taken by Preston, well I haven't met Cameron.

Meet Cameron:
Cameron Winslow was attracted to Margaret since he was 13. He always kept his attraction and feelings hidden and teased his Meggie as often as he could. In his way he kept her at arm's length because the timing was wrong. He was focused on his life after his father's passing, company but not on Margaret.

Margaret grew up attracted to Cameron but because he always teased her she thought he just dislikes her.

twenty years later they find themselves in the same situation: Cameron is still attracted to his Meggie, fantasizes about her and keeps teasing her.
Margaret is still attracted to Cameron but his attitude never changed toward her.
What was different about their situation was the fact that the both lived in the same building.

I like the fact that Cameron is aware that Margaret needs his full attention, time and devotion, things that he doesn't have due to his demanding business.
He allows himself to spend some time in her presence when they both need a contractor but when his sister Jessica needs his help, well, he cannot stay away.
Margaret is dealing with her father's rejection and constant disappointment and finds herself almost engaged to a man that she didn't want.

Cameron's need of a venue for his sister wedding brings them together.
Margaret has a vineyard that she want to run and Cameron decides to invest in the redecoration/ construction.

Spending time together they both start to open their hearts, dreams and build better lives for themselves.

Well it took Cameron 20 years to give in his feelings for Margaret but when is happened in took him a day to realize what is important.
He went for his dreams: sold his company and started to build a life with his woman.
I am really not sure why of the Winslows I like him more now. Cameron was: sweet, devoted, caring and hot. His impulsivity endeared him maybe a little bit more to me.
So yeah, I am crazy about Cameron.

Though I never had any doubt, I have to say it...Katy Regnery has done it again, creating another smash hit with Crazy About Cameron. The writing is flawless, the plot comes with the amazing romance and witty banter Katy always has in her books, plus there's an added dash of suspense to help spice things up.

I'll admit, when I first starting reading I was worried that Margaret was going to be one to kowtow to her father, but thankfully she shows her strength and determination instead. It's wonderful to see her doing what she loves and following her dreams. Cameron actually sort of is in a similar position to Margaret at the start of the book, stuck in his father's business...though his path to change is a bit different than hers.

The fact that they've known each other for most of their lives adds a sweet element to their story, especially as we look back and see how they interacted when they were young. As adults, things are much different-and that's where the great banter comes in...along with plenty of sexual tension and heat. Cameron wanting to hold back until he can be there all the time for Margaret is admirable, though for the reader it creates those ack!-I-need-them-together-now feelings.

The two of them together, well they just click perfectly and as a reader I found myself desperately wanting them to be together. The tension continues to build as well as the suspense when Margaret's safety is threatened, and between that and the hot moments between her and Cameron, I couldn't tear myself away from this book.

Yet another superb addition to the growing Blueberry Lane series, Crazy About Cameron was a fantastic 5-star read for me. I'm adding it to the rest of the English and Winslow brothers books on my top recommendations list, and if you haven't read any of the books in the Blueberry Lane series, you really are missing out on a truly special set of stories. Recommended for 18+ due to adult language and sexual situations.
