Very enjoyable read. I raced through this. I liked Robbie Munroe, the main character, and his wife Joanne and PA Grace Mary.. At the end of the novel, I was surprised to find that there were several books in this series; surprised and very pleased.
The author obviously knows the Scottish criminal law system very well and I quickly learned enough to keep up with him. The book is funny, has a good plot line, and makes for a very good read. I thoroughly recommend it. I will be looking up the other titles in the series.

A murder, and Robbie is persuaded by his secretary to represent the chief suspect. However, the background to the murder, the alibi and interference from colleagues who wouldn’t normally involve themselves in Robbie’s cases, makes everything a bit more convoluted than he expected. Not knowing anything about Scottish law, I wondered if I’d be able to follow the plot, but this wasn’t an issue. The story was amusing, the characters well written, it was an easy and enjoyable read with a twist at the end. My thanks to NetGalley and the author for an ARC
