I read the comics first, but the library FINALLY ordered this series. And...
Pretty much like a regular Thea Stilton book. Canonical throughout most of it for the most part, but changing names of some recognizable side characters. For example, Vanilla de Vissen in the comics= Ruby Flashyfur in the books. I don't really mind that, though I wish everyone and all relationships were the same in the entire franchise.
Only part that I didn't like was the difference in pairing of Pam and Ruby's brother, Ryder. In the comics, they had this great back and forth relationship, but they have no connection in the book. THAT DRIVES ME NUTS. I wanted to read this series to see more of their relationship, but I'm being forcefully nudged to wanted Ryder and Paulina together. All together from all the franchise's properties, Paulina has at least 3 love interests. I definitely don't ship this.
Yeah, so I'm a bit (really) old to read this series and be so riled up about it, but I gotta say what I gotta say. This was a good book, but unfortunetly, it didn't give me the one thing I wanted the most: canonical confirmation of a ship they had previously imagined.
Kiddo is into these Stilton books -- there are many sub-series. I picked this one up out of curiosity from her library pile and it's on the border for me. Content and images initially reinforce stereotypes about girly girls, crushes, and style, which I don't like, but ultimately, the story does turn those on their head a bit. At least the absurd girly girl who is more concerned about how she looks ahead of the survival course is viewed as silly by the very boy she hoped to impress. The "spoiled" one who calls her rich mother to smooth the path for her and cheats the competition doesn't succeed and everyone sees through her. There is celebration of friendship, not in any nuanced way, but that's fine. The vocab is pretty good, a blend of fun cheese and mouse-inspired puns and yummy words like "dubious." I don't love this series, but it isn't actively harmful I guess. She inhales these and has probably read over a hundred of them so far and well, I'm not going to ban them. At least the female characters are varied, even if archetypal, and they go on adventures that aren't primarily centered around boys.
I really like Ryder character, he seem chill one even though his sister up to no good, reminds me of Chloe from mlb ( miraculous ladybug). They're learn how to survive in the forest especially making place to stay for example a tent n find some edible food to eat in the woods. Theres also rules to surviving, at least the Thea sisters having fun times.

My daughter selected the star rating and typed the review caption. But she’s asked me to type in more details here. We plan to read just a few chapters each night, but she wanted me to say we always end up reading a lot more than planned because she likes the Thea Sisters so much!! She also wrote the exlamation point. (That previous sentence was typed by her.)
i think that this book was good i loved the picters in the book in the book i love colette and pamela but i did n t like the book so much like other people who read this book may you would like it but me... not that much but i like the part when they are in danger and suff like that maybe you will like it who knows.
they have a sports teacher and he said they would have to split in two groups each. ruby said it was to stressful so she got her valet and sent him there to take care of her while the others worked hard. at the end one of the thea sisters won this book was adventures because thee is a lot of adventures.
Well, not exactly a literary treasure but a 'decent' book, like someone pointed out. It will probably encourage young readers to read more, so I love it for that.
