Where Is My Smoke? 💨

Kicked out of the FBI, Sid is going bananas.

She meets a new friend at the shooting gallery. He helps her fight off some supernatural creeps!

After the nice man is mysteriously killed, Sid decides to find his killer!

With Smoke still missing, she is definitely going to need some help, so calls on old friends of Smoke.

Phat Sam and Guppy are not a substitute for Smoke, but they’re interesting, and they’re willing to help her find Big Jake’s killer.

Still, how long will Smoke be missing?

Smoke and Sydney are back to tackle two supernatural assassins who appear to be immortal. That would be bad enough, but Sydney quit the FBI in the last book and doesn’t have even the minimal support the FBI used to give her. Her ex-fiancé has taken over her role on the Black Slate with his current girlfriend and they are not happy that Sydney is also investigating the case—and making more progress than they are. That means that the work is twice as hard as the only progress that’s going to get made is by working around their FBI counterparts.

The action is fast paced, the dialogue is fun, and the bad guys are still bad. On top of that, Halloran gives us yet another unusual supernatural problem to resolve. There’s also some genuine tragedy in this book which reminds us that the danger is real and the stakes are huge.

I received this book from Free Audiobook Codes in exchange for an honest review.

Most literal title ever.....

Only because these villains literally....have a base underwater 😂😂.

The villans for me where sorta different then the ones we are used too.Not just because for the first time we have baddies that worked in a pair...and they not only looked normal but acted like complete sadistic psychos you see in movies! These guys love to inflicted pain and cause havoc...But does that stop it scare Sydney and smoke...hell no!

They are back again and amazing as ever . Not only does their relationship grow better between the two but as a team? They are also stronger then ever even if Sydney has left the FBI.

Rebecca , Cyrus new side peice gets on my last nerves and in this book gone is the pretty and nice shy girl we met before...she is just irratating. But I nice new 'human?' Villain to hate I guess.

Lodes of surprises and heartbreak in this book! Again! A real page turner u wouldn't wanna miss it 😁

Format: audiobook
Narrator: Holly Adams
I’ve enjoyed this book much more, I found Agent Sidney Shaw much more likeable in this story, I think she may have chilled out a bit of I’ve just got used to her lol.
The end of the last book seemed to be a turning point and this story brings about a new chapter for them all it seems!
Entertaining, attention grabbing and intrigue, we get a tiny glimpse of who ‘they’ are well, at least one of them, I look forward to finding out more.
I’m really enjoying this narrator she’s easy to listen to and delivers the dialogue well.

I will add that chapter 18 is actually chapter 18 from the previous book. The author has been informed.

Audiobook review- Action, action, and more action. The story is no stop entertainment with mystery and mayhem. Love the characters though this one pulled on my heart strings. The narrator did a great job! Only one problem; chapter 18 is from the prior book. The author has been notified. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and and have voluntarily left this review.

Sidney Shaw, no longer an FBI goes after a newly found friend's murderers. They happen to be two bad boys that don't appear to be able to be killed. Smoke has unknown whereabouts so she calls Phat Sam and Guppy for assistance. The series is still fun and a fast read, great for road trips. Great narration for the audible version by Holly Adams.

Short, and sweet. Good as always. This book focuses more one Sidney with very few scenes with Smoke. Canonically it makes sense since Sidney is "off the case" following the end of book 3.

Nevertheless this is a fun urban fantasy romp: although admittedly this is a little light on the "urban fantasy" stuff until the end.

Not the type of book for everyone with all the descriptive words for sounds. But this is an action book filled with fighting helicopters and lots and lots of guns. I enjoyed this read slow to start but I’m invested!

This book adds to the first with move characters and development of the originals while it is a Bit repetitive it’s still and enjoyable read.

Addition of new things and twists and turns is awesome !

Ha! My TBR list is out of control! I purchased this ebook in 2016, read #3 in 2017 and frankly don't remember much of the series. Yet I was still entertained by #4 and didn't have the urge to do housework or (gasp!) start another book.

Sid realizes there is more to the friendship/partnership that she has with Smoke. Why do they have to constantly have to abide by the rules when everyone else is out to kill them.

Back on track

My rating for the previous book was one star lower due to editing (or lack of it.) This installment is back on track! I love these characters and storyline.

Sid & Smoke book 4

More deaders/zombies, half dead bad guys, who knows what bad guys and some good guys that are iffy. I love Sid, her niece, Smoke and his crew. Off to the next book!

I read the Kindle version and the book kept switching between calling the new agent Rebecca and Rachel. Very annoying. Pretty sure she was introduced as Rebecca.

Great main characters

I love these books. Sid is a strong female character that can kick butt and take care of herself. If she needs a little help sometimes it's o.k. because that help comes from Smoke. Smoke is the other main character. You want to know more about him. The author gives you just enough to get you by. I can't wait for the next book to come out!
