Amari Sun

Rate this book
What starts as a business trip to the Amalfi Coast becomes far more than work. Amari believes in aperitivo hour as a way of being, falls in love with a coastline that gets under her skin, and meets a man who touches her like he's already in love with every version of her.

Amari isn’t looking to be saved—she is expanding into her fullest self. Mauricio has been hiding from love behind his ambition. From the moment they meet, the magnetic pull is impossible to ignore. In the heat of the Italian summer, Mauricio finds himself wrapped up in both work and Amari, unable to escape either.
Their ambitions align, but their understanding of love does not. Together, they must navigate what it means to build something true to both their desires.

Amari Sun is an unapologetic polyamorous romance and a love letter to Italy. It is the first book in The Amari Sky Collection—a series about autonomy, romance in all its forms, and becoming your most authentic self.

# Book Review

I really enjoyed Amari Sun. The language was beautiful and descriptive, allowing me to imagine so many of the things happening around the characters. The imagery was especially striking and brought the story to life in a way that felt vivid and immersive.

The book also explored sexuality in a way that was unfamiliar to me, which gave me an opportunity to experience perspectives and forms of connection that I had not encountered before. I appreciated how the story incorporated the energies and presence of the people around the characters, adding another layer to their experiences.

What I enjoyed most was the theme of self-discovery. As the characters moved through their relationship, they seemed to learn more about themselves, their desires, and what they wanted from one another. Overall, it was a thought-provoking and beautifully written book that gave me a lot to reflect on. I now have Italy on my bucket list.

This book was such an inspiring and refreshing read! I absolutely loved the connections, the energy, and most importantly, the freedom Amari allowed herself to experience. While I found myself frustrated with the way she treated Mauricio at times, I also understood her desire to explore life, love, and relationships on her own terms.

What I appreciated most was how the story embraced different types of love, intimacy, and connections between partners, especially the relationships between two women. It was refreshing to see those experiences represented so openly and without judgment.

This book was about more than relationships. It was about self-discovery, freedom, embracing your desires, and giving yourself permission to live authentically. I may not have agreed with every decision Amari made, but I respected her journey and the freedom she created for herself.

Definitely a great read that celebrates love, connection, and the beauty of discovering who you truly are!

Amari Sun was such a sexually refreshing read! I loved that it wasn’t just about romance, but also about self-discovery, travel, and figuring out what’s wanted in “ethical non-monogamous” relationships. It is the perfect blend of a boss woman in business, fully taking advantage and control of her life.

What stood out most to me was the emphasis on emotional intimacy and genuine connection rather than rushing straight into physical needs. Amari’s journey feels like more than falling for another person…It’s also about discovering new pieces of herself along the way.

The Italian setting made everything feel dreamy and elevated, making it a fun different take on romance that kept me interested and wanting more!

Listen, I did not know much about being polyamorous BUT this book is such an enticing read on what it means to love AND live outside of a traditional world! Amari and Mauricio push and pull was so vulnerable, the will they-won’t they… Not to mention the fact the architectural elements and descriptions enthralled the mind! I fell in love with Houston and Tuscany - because of the walls and culture of each city! I love you Amari and see you soon. Ciao!

I absolutely loved this book! It’s an empowering read that perfectly captures what it means to be a strong-willed, independent young woman building a business and going after what she wants. Beyond the entrepreneurship side, I loved the fun travel elements and the focus on deep friendships. Its best takeaway is the reminder to never let your relationships define who you are, but to define yourself first. Highly recommend!
