The year is 2011. I am alone. My name is Kaleb McIntyre and all I want to do is go home. The world is turmoil, ravaged by famine, war and now infection. I had been working in London when the curfews were introduced, the capital went on lockdown. The war in the north was intense and then the bomb dropped on London. I'm not sure if it was the cause of the infection or just helped spread it. This I can tell you, life itself is a living nightmare at the moment. My job at the transport depot was a boring one, my life was spent sitting inside my dreary bedsit just gazing out the window at the security patrols that patrolled London. That's when I met Duncan, this mysterious man just came out of nowhere and before I had time to think I was plunged into a world where I would face the infection head on. I couldn't believe what I was witnessing, the devastation of the bomb that struck South London and the effects of the infection where like nothing I had ever seen before. Duncan had promised to help me get home. I met the other survivors, a strange group of people. The evacuation of London was ordered as the infection spread quickly, we had to get out. I was no longer alone but part of a group of people trying to survive this nightmare. But there was something strange about this group, something I couldn't quite put my finger on. In this living nightmare I just wanted to find my family, dodging the infection and hiding from the security forces. We only had one option because surviving is the only hope we had left. This is a story of survival, where one man is catapulted into a savage world where is forced to face fear head on. His only hope is to find his family, if they are still alive. A secret exists and unknown to Kaleb McIntyre this secret would have a lasting effect on how he would live the rest of his life. There is an answer which can stop this nightmare and Kaleb has to make decisions that could have dire consequences not just for England but the entire world as the infection spreads faster than anybody could have expected.
