In an age where much has been written, some by informed and educated authors, about Bowie and his music, it is refreshing to find a book regarding one of his more “challenging” offerings - 1.Outside.

Alex, a self-confessed fan, approaches his dissection of the album, and more importantly, the workings behind it in an incredible detailed and well-researched manner.

Far from being a personal interpretation track by track, Alex gives us the background, the timeline, the detail to reach our own conclusions.

Fascinating, insightful and a pleasure to read.

Really great fan written book on one of Bowie’s best albums. Beautifully done with lots of images. A real treat!
