I loved this book! I love urban fantasy so I loved the world that S E Babin has created with magic and magical beings existing in the modern world, there’s shifters, vampires, pixies, witches and ghosts. Alex, the fmc, has such a strong voice and personality and I thoroughly enjoyed reading things from her point of view. Twice Bitten is a fast paced, enjoyable read filled with action, humour and mystery. I can’t wait for the next book!

Thanks to Net Galley and Second Sky for this ARC!

I NEED MORE! This book, Twice Bitten, a Fangs and Fur series story, is addictive. I kept thinking about the book when I couldn’t read it, and couldn’t wait until I could sit back down.

It’s a total indulgence!

Let me insert a special “thank you” to Second Sky Publishers and NetGalley for this eARC. Author S.E. Babin is now an author I’m following. I want to read more of her works.

Back to this book! I really enjoyed everything about this book and was captivated from the very beginning. It flowed and I wanted there to be more and more than the number of pages that were there, lol.

I need the next installment immediately, please!

There are vampires, werewolves, supernatural beings, witches! As soon as I saw this book had witches in it, that was my first clue I wanted to read it. I was not at all disappointed.

I laughed, I got teary. I became Alex’s friend because she is afraid to trust. I reveled in all the chaos and carnage Alex brings when the time comes! Author Babin just draws you in. There were some sections of the book which I actually read more than once just to experience the same feeling I got from it the first time. It was intense in some places!

Alex, she’s facing the same type of trials we face every day. Hers has a supernatural twist of course, but she’s very relatable. As she discovers her powers, we are captivated and you can feel the rush that comes with her witch growth and survival.

Totally FIVE STARS for this book! If you enjoy Darynda Jones or Charlaine Harris, you’ll totally love S.E.Babin.

PS: I seriously do need the next installment. :)

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Twice Bitten was such a fun, fast-paced read that I ended up flying through. The premise immediately grabbed my attention, and I loved the mix of witches, vampires and shifters, it made for an entertaining urban fantasy that was easy to get lost in.

One thing I really enjoyed was how the story seemed to find its rhythm as it went on. I was intrigued from the start, but as the book progressed it felt like the author's voice became more confident, and I found myself becoming more invested in both the story and the characters.

Speaking of the characters, they were definitely one of the highlights for me. Everyone had their own distinct personality, which made the interactions feel lively and kept me turning the pages. While I would have loved to see the romance develop a little more over the course of the book, I have a feeling there's still plenty more to come.

Overall, Twice Bitten was an enjoyable introduction to the series with an original premise, plenty of personality, and a story that left me curious to see what happens next. I'll definitely be picking up the next book to see where the characters go from here and to watch the author's writing continue to grow.

Thank you again to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

An alluring, cozy "listen" that'll having you yearning for book 2 as you ask yourself, "but it can't end here!" This story follows the FMC who has witch heritage, but was instructed by her mother to implant a magical chip to dampen her powers. However her mother disappeared a few years ago, leaving her with no clues, no family, and only questions. Things were working out okay, that is until a vampire becomes intrigued by the FMC and begins following her. This leads to the FMC walking into the middle of a confrontation between the heads of both the wolf shifters and the vampires. In he past there has been no witch that can be turned by either a vampire nor a werewolf.....but our FMC is not ordinary witch. The female narrator did a great job setting up the vibes and the lure of the magical beings in the novel. The tone and pacing were good. Although there is conflict and tension expressed, more physical between magical factions and not so much in a romantic sense, the narrator gave the feelings of cozy, hopeful, and mysterious all at the same time. This is a perfect audiobook to add to your TBR, especially if you are looking for something that incorporates vampires, werewolves, and witches without having leaving that intense soul crushing feeling at the conclusion. Thank you to author S.E. Babin, NetGalley, and Bookouture Audio | Second Sky Books for allowing me to be a part of the ALC team. I can't wait for book 2 to see where the story goes.

Thank you to NetGalley, Second Sky, and S. E. Babin for the ARC!

Let me start by saying I feel like I was handed my favorite dessert in the world...only to have it snatched away halfway through. That's exactly how this book left me. I absolutely flew through it. From the very first page to the last, I was completely hooked.

Alex is an incredible FMC. I'm always here for a strong, independent witch who can take care of herself...with a little help from her house (if you know, you know).

I know we're probably supposed to be choosing between Alric and Silas, but Alric is making that decision way too easy for me. Now, if you asked me to choose between Leo and Silas...that would be an entirely different conversation.

The side characters are just as fantastic as the main cast. Hats off to Edmund, though; he's the MVP we all need!

I have about a million questions, and I'm sure they'll be answered in the next book...but that's simply not fast enough for me. I need the sequel immediately!

I enjoyed this a lot, it was such a fantastically addictive urban fantasy story.

I loved our FMC Alex, she's a witch who just wants to do her job as a barista at the Three Beans café (while also holding down a more secret, magical side gig) when a vampire comes along and screws everything up for her. This blood-sucking a-hole also puts her in the path of the Vampire Prime and the Shifter King... Now Alex's life is spiralling out of control, with the vampire who started this still out for her blood, her body starting to change in unexpected ways, and two extremely powerful men both having a interest in her that borders on obsession.

My biggest issue with this book is that its the start of a series and I NEED book two yesterday! It was so much fun to read, the mysteries, the twists, the dangerous (but hot) guys. I cannot wait to see what happens next for Alex.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher, and I'm voluntarily leaving this review.

Thank you NetGalley for the audio ARC of this book. This is my own opinion, and I am freely leaving it.

This story was very interesting. I loved the world building, the inclusion of several different supernatural species, and how they live in the open with mortals. Alex is a strong willed FMC with a tragic backstory. The banter between her and her house ghost was great. I truly did enjoy the story.

The narrator was decent. The only real issue I had was when she would change her voice for other female characters, she would deepen her voice. That is usually done for male characters and would take me out of the story some times while I processed that it was actually a female side character and not a male one. Other than that, everything was good. I do look forward to continuing the story as the cliffhanger has me curious.

I love a vampires in my romance books, well vampires in everything if I’m being honest. So when I saw this book come up for review, I jumped at the chance to read it.
Twice Bitten was a fast paced read that was fun. I was hooked from the beginning, I loved the mix of werewolves, vampires and witches.
I really enjoyed the mix of characters, they all had their own personalities which really shone through. They made the story even more interesting, I would have just love to see the romance develop a bit more.
Overall, Twice Bitten was an enjoyable start to a new series. The story was captivating, the characters interesting. I’ll be interested to see what the next book brings.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for my ALC and ARC in exchange for an honest review.

If you were obsessed with Wattpad stories as a teen about shifters, vampires, and other supernatural creatures trying to live in a modern world. You need to check out twice bitten. This was a great quick read with loveable characters, a fast paced plot, and high stakes. AS a former barista I loved Alex and Addy's relationship. If you want a good love triangle that doesn't feel rushed. I am definelty team Silas but it will be cool to see what happens in book 2 cause the end of book 1 set up a lot. If you are looking for a good book to get you out of a reading slump definitely add this book to your TBR.

Thank you Netgalley and Second Sky for the eARC!

A fun, fast and witchy start to a paranormal romance series, I recommend it. I liked the diverse world of creatures and characters. The narrator was good and the audiobook was nice to listen to.

The only negative is that I can't get my hands on the sequel right away. There is promise in the romance department (I'm happy for the slow burn)and at this point I would turn more towards the hairy than the teeths.

Thanks to the publisher Bookouture Audio / Second Sky Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advanced audiobook copy!

This is slightly romance, but not our FMC is a powerful witch undercover when she catches the eye of a narcissistic vampire who doesn’t like to be a rejected and doesn’t take no for an answer when trying to get away, she literally runs into the vampire prime and king of the shifters and her undercover, which status is threatened while also trying to find out a mysterious illness that displaying the supernatural community, our FMC is strong willed and a little too trusting in that trust gets her in trouble this does in on a bit of a cliffhanger and in preps for two

I really enjoyed the worldbuilding and magic. She has a house ghost that feeds on electricity, and I think he's probably my favorite character.
After getting attacked multiple times, Alex finds herself in the middle of a tug of war between the Alpha Vampire and Werewolf. And I definitely have a preference when it comes to who, if anyone, ends up as her love interest.

There are some action-packed moments, it's decently fast-paced, and had the perfect amount of humor and sass to round it all out. I will definitely pick up the next book.

I absolutely ate this up and could not get enough. Shifters & vampires in a coffee shop that just keeps getting better!

So fun, addictive and fast paced with an entertaining plot and loveable characters. If you like urban fantasy then this is definitely for you. Everything that happened lead beautifully to the end which has me gagging for book two!!

The author did such a wonderful job writing this and has me yearning for more of her work already.

DNF: without spoilers some of the descriptions made me uncomfortable. It is well written, but the book was explaining a new concept I hadn’t read in other paranormal romances I’ve read and it got to the point I wasn’t enjoying it mainly because the description. I may try again at a later date but at this point I am not mentally prepared to listen to that.

This is a great read! Alex is a hedge witch and so much more. Her encounter with a vampire and a shifter changes her even more. There is often edge of your seat action. Even a few eyebrow lifts when things take a twisted turn. I loved it!

Honestly I absolutely enjoyed this story. It's fast paced and keeps you wanting more.
The way S.E Babin writes draws you into her world.
It's all detailed enough so you get the picture in your head, basically it's like a movie playing along while reading.
I really liked the characters and Alex as the FMC I loved her. I enjoyed the vampire, witch, wolf aspect of it and it's different to other stories. There's twists and humour.
It's got everything I wanted in a story.

I also got to listen to the audiobook for this too and OMG it's fantastic, the narrator is perfect she brings the words to life!

I could see Twice Bitten made into a TV/movie it would be perfect.

I cannot wait for book 2!

Thanks to Netgalley for sending me this book. It's's been a while since I've read an Urban Fantasy book but boy am I glad I picked this one. This for me is Urban Fantasy done right with strong characters, a fast pace and a plot imbued with a little mystery. I found myself eagerly turning the pages as our somewhat insular heroine found herself having to decide just who she could trust and wow those were serious curve balls sent her way ! I
If it's a touch of romance you desire then I think wait for the next book and I feel sure that like me you will definitely want to read book 2. For now though this tricky witch has her houseguest ( hehe if you know you know) a surprise ali and a mystery to solve as tensions start to rise amongst the Vampire and the Werewolf community. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and happily recommend it.

Ooh this was a fun one! Twice Bitten was a very addictive urban fantasy with a really fast paced and exciting plot which had fabulous magical vibes sprinkled throughout. I really enjoyed the way the story moved between the action packed main storyline to the quieter more reflective moments where our FMC Alex got to explore her witchy side, they helped break up the book but never felt like lulls and i liked seeing how competent she was as a witch. Alex had a really strong personality and i enjoyed reading about her, she’s smart and capable and I’m keen to see how she handles our MMCs in the next book 👀

Would i read it again? Yes and I’m very eager for the sequel! I actually loved this more than i was expecting and genuinely struggled to put it down at times, the humorous aspects were also a really nice addition to this book which i wasn’t expecting!

Thankyou so much @secondskybooks for the gifted review copy 🫶🏻
