I loved Grant and Ollie. Both had things they were hiding. But as they were stuck together, compliments of the coach, they slowly started peeling back the layers of each other. The way these two came together so slowly, made this feel more real. They took time, found trust, and were able to open up to one another. Creating a relationships that was so amazing. I loved the way they worked together both on and off the ice.
This was a really great story. These two were amazing, and I was so happy to see them find happiness with one another.

When I first started this book, I was not impressed and wasn’t sure if I’d like it. Something about the writing style made me struggle through the beginning. After I got over that, I quickly became invested in the relationship between Grant and Ollie. There were several times I had unshed tears. They both had their struggles that were were different in circumstances but fundamentally the same, so they each understood what drove the other.

I will say the math in this book confused the heck outta me and I thought I was losing my mind. Ollie and some of the other teammates would count Grant’s words because it’s always surprising when he says more than a grunt or one word. “I like your people”….”Three words, and each one landed like a door opening.” Unless I can’t count, “I like your people” is 4 words. This seemed to happened a few times in the book and drove me bananas.

This was exactly the kind of MM hockey romance I was hoping for. The chemistry between Ollie and Grant builds naturally, with great banter, believable emotional growth, and just the right amount of slow-burn tension. The hockey setting feels authentic without overwhelming the romance, making it a story that was genuinely hard to put down. Highly recommended for readers who love heartfelt sports romance with unforgettable characters.

Grant and Ollie had a slow burn story that sucked you right in. They both had fears that they needed to overcome. The story had a great build and a resolution with a great set up for the next book in the series. The author kept you drawn into the story.

The story between Grant and Ollie was so perfect the way they both had something to over come but their defense against what happened was polar opposite of how they dealt with it I loved it
