Heroic Faith

by The Voice of the Martyrs

Every Christian can live a more Heroic Faith. "Heroic Faith" is not a new concept describing biblical disciples.

For more than two thousand years, heroes of the faith have endured terrible suffering as they dedicate their lives to Jesus Christ. They choose to obey the Lord daily in order to advance Christ and his kingdom at any cost, like Boun, who is willing to risk everything in order to have a copy of God's Word.

What do biblical disciples, who possess a heroic faith, value and live out? How can our own faith be more heroic? In Heroic Faith, you will meet and be inspired by biblical disciples who exemplify the foundation and the fruit of heroic faith. And as you read the stories of these persecuted Christian brothers and sisters and realize that we are knit together - united by the blood and lordship of Christ - you will be inspired by how they live with heroic faith.

About the author

The Voice of the Martyrs is a non-profit, inter-denominational Christian organization dedicated to assisting the persecuted church worldwide. VOM was founded in 1967 by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, who was imprisoned 14 years in Communist Romania for his faith in Christ. His wife, Sabina, was imprisoned for three years. In the 1960s, Richard, Sabina, and their son, Mihai, were ransomed out of Romania and came to the United States. Through their travels, the Wurmbrands spread the message of the atrocities that Christians face in restricted nations, while establishing a network of offices dedicated to assisting the persecuted church. The Voice of the Martyrs continues in this mission around the world today through the following main purposes:
Our ministry is based on Hebrews 13:3:
"Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body."
