I'm not sure how I felt about this one Laymon..

This story took a while for me to read. I kept getting hung up on the coach, student thingy. A young tennis phenomenon takes the tennis world by storm, as she was coached to victory after victory by a former tennis pro. The 20 something tennis ace had all kinds of skeletons in her repertoire, and a coach fell for her game...

Uneasy Love 4 Stars
“Fault” is a story of love, admiration and lust, with blurred lines running in between.
For the most part, the true love within this book is not the romantic kind; the passion felt throughout is for the love of Tennis.
Ex Pro, Griffin Jones, turned coach, decides to train the spoiled, out of control, yet extremely gifted Vanessa Owens. Through his rigid dedication to her game, Griffin is able to sharpen her skills and calm her attitude. Soon she begins to defeat the best of the best. Vanessa, in her own twisted mind, has decided she wants and will have Griffin. He feels pride and a sense of fondness toward her, but is not in love with her. Vanessa’s bold persistence presents a whole new set of problems for Griffin.
Author Laymon Scott has written a solid story. The characters are strong and defined and the ending, well it was shocking and for me, unfulfilling. I don’t want to give away too much, but my heart broke for Griffin.

It's Love--Tennis Love

Fault is well written for the most part with an interesting plot that keeps you reading. The tennis jargon is on point as well as the in play suspense. Where this book falls short is the inner dialogue of these characters. There is a lot of doing without considering, thinking, or feeling expressed by the characters as the action is taking place. The reader is left to wonder far too much to satisfy.

I am not going to bash the book nor will I give it a rating. Read at your own risk.
