Helpful

This was a great book to read at a time which felt like Naomi's. I like how the author gives you insights that also translate to our personal experiences today. It has questions to help you consider the message personally in a deeper more applicable manner too.
So, if you need fresh insights and encouragement in your life at this time, this book is useful. It helps you see the good that can come out of persisting and persevering, trusting and obeying. It can gave long ranging effects too.
I recommend it.

An easy to understand and helpful read that has me wanting to study Ruth more. Learning some of the original language and how the terms tie to other verses helped make Ruth more than just a love story. Reminded me how God, not biblical characters, is the Hero of the story, and how it all points to Jesus. The book has encouraging applications, such as trusting what we can't see in all circumstances and walking in obedience, but God remains the focus.

The discussion questions and "Hesed Challenge" would make this really good for families and/or small groups.
